Opis:: A new group of insecticides belonging to the category of bio-pesticides, namely – spinosyns, is discussed. The spinosyns are the products of bacterial fermentation by microorganisms Saccharopolyspora spinosa (Actinomycetes group) in a nutrient media. The chemical structures of spinosyns, also those developed by the semi-synthetic and biochemical modifications, as well as their insecticidal properties and mechanism of biological activity, the range of their application in crop protection and the commercially available products based on them, are reviewed.

Opis:: An attempt was made to determine phase composition of commercial aluminium alloys using X-ray diffraction. Samples for phase composition analysis were selected from the group of aluminium alloys covered by the EN 573-3:2013 standard [1]. Representative samples were taken from eight groups of alloys with different chemical composition (at least one sample from each group). The diffraction intensity was measured with a standard X-ray diffractometer in Bragg-Brentano geometry in a way that allowed identification of the weakest diffraction peaks. As a results of the performed research it has been shown that X-ray phase analysis can be used to identify the matrix of aluminium alloys, Si and crystalline intermetallic phases such as Mg₂Si, Al_93.38Cu_6.02Fe₂₄Si_16.27, Al_4.01MnSi_0.74, MgZn₂, Al₁₇ (Fe_3.2Mn_0.8)Si₂, Al₆₅Cu₂₀Fe₁₅, and Cu₃Mn₂Al. The detectability limit of the above-mentioned phases is better than 0.5%. The research has also shown that X-ray phase analysis is applicable in the investigation of phase transformations taking place in aluminium alloys.

Opis:: For many years Linux environment has been evaluated from the only server system to desktop computer system. Thanks to this Linux has became serious competition for systems from the very popular Microsoft Windows family. Unfortunately sightless users of computer do not have wide choice of software speech synthesisers that may help them during working on computer in the Linux environment. The "Speakup" application is the one of the better ones designed for Linux. But, nevertheless, it does not support the maintenance in the same degree as popular applications for the Microsoft Windows. So in this paper the significant improvement of the "Speakup" is presented. This improvement allows blind users to quite comfortable work with the Linux system in the console text mode with the maintenance of Polish fonts, too. The application has become the user-friendly one with wide spectrum of possibilities, what many blind users confirm. The one of them is the co-author of this paper.

Opis:: The objective of the study was to determine the feasibility of plastic forming by hot rolling of the AA2519 aluminium alloy sheets and cladding these sheets with a layer of the EN AW-1050A alloy. Numerous hot-rolling tests were carried out on the slab ingots to define the parameters of the AA2519 alloy rolling process. It has been established that rolling of the AA2519 alloy should be carried out in the temperature range of 400-440°C. Depending on the required final thickness of the sheet metal, appropriate thickness of the EN AW-1050A alloy sheet, used as a cladding layer, was selected. As a next step, structure and mechanical properties of the resulting AA2519 alloy sheets clad with EN AW-1050A alloy was examined. The thickness of the coating layer was established at 0,3÷0,5mm. Studies covered alloy grain size and the core alloy-cladding material bond strength.
