    Opis:
    Nowadays, ammonium nitrate-fuel oil (ANFO) is the most often used explosive in mining industry. Its advantages are: simple production, low price and practically lack of sensitivity to mechanical impacts during mechanical loading to shot-holes. ANFO has also some disadvantages: lack of waterproofness and low detonation parameters which reduce their range of use to dry blasting holes in low compactness rock masses. This paper presents the results of measurements of detonation parameters for aluminized ANFO with different amount of metallic powder. The experiment included application of faked aluminum into granulated ammonium nitrate(V) (type "Extra" - YARA company) with an addition of oil FLEX 401. Positive effects of aluminum powder content on the decrease of concentration of toxic gases in detonation products, and on the blast wave performance and the work ability of ANFO/Al are also discussed.

    Omówiono wyniki badań parametrów detonacyjnych takich jak: prędkość detonacji i zdolność do detonacji materiałów wybuchowych emulsyjnych, zawierających matryce Hydrox S i Hydrox U. Przedstawiono wyniki badań właściwości niebezpiecznych matryc obejmujących badania klasyfikacyjne, stosowane w celu dopuszczenia materiału niebezpiecznego do transportowania po drogach publicznych.
    This paper discuss the results from testing detonation parameters such as: the detonation velocity and detonation capacity of emulsion explosive materials containing Hydrox S and Hydrox U matrices. The test results for dangerous properties of matrices including classification tests conducted for the eligibility of the dangerous material for public road transport were presented. It was also indicated that modifications of composite properties of the emulsion explosives were possible by changing the viscosity of the used matrix.

    W artykule przedstawiono wpływ wybranych parametrów technologicznych procesu produkcji lontu detonującego pentrytowego metanowego na zapalność metanu w warunkach badania w sztolni doświadczalnej. Badaniom poddano próbki badawcze lontu detonującego różniące się grubością powłoki zewnętrznej z tworzywa oraz materiału, z którego została ona wykonana. Zrealizowano badania związane z detonacją lontu detonującego w sztolni doświadczalnej w atmosferze metanu z powietrzem, badanie przenoszenia detonacji z lontu na lont oraz jego prędkość detonacji. Badania mają na celu poprawę bezpieczeństwa i konstrukcji lontu detonującego.
    This paper presents the influence of some technological parameters of the production process of the methane penthrite detonating cord on the flammability of methane in the test conditions in the experimental gallery. The samples of the detonating cord differing by outer thickness coating and the plastic material were tested. Studies related to the detonation of detonating cord in the experimental gallery in an atmosphere of methane and air, the determination of transmission of detonation from detonating cord to detonatig cord, and the determination of the velocity of detonation of detonating cord were performed. The research is aimed at improving safety and construction of the detonating cord.

    Opis:
    Gas generating devices utilising the decomposition of pyrotechnic mixtures can be an alternative to those containing high explosives – whose purpose is the splitting of rock. Large volumes of gas at high temperature and pressure can cause the splitting of blocks from virgin rock. Comparison of the composition of gas products of the gas generator ROCKSPLITTER™ with those of the detonation products of the alternative, penthrite detonating cord for rocks, has been carried out within the framework of this investigation. The determination of the composition of the gases was carried out at the Laboratory of Explosives and Electric Detonators Testing, at Experimental Mine „Barbara” of the Central Mining Institute (Mikołów, Poland) at the experimental facility established for determining gaseous detonation products of blasting explosives. Testing was performed in accordance with the modified test method described in European Standard PN-EN-13631-16:2006P, “Explosives for civil uses. High explosives. Detection and measurement of toxic gases”.
    Alternatywnym rozwiązaniem dla urządzeń zawierających kruszące materiały wybuchowe i służących do odspajania bloków skalnych mogą być urządzenia (wyroby) gazogenerujące w wyniku działania których następuje rozkład mieszanin pirotechnicznych. Podczas rozkładu substancji pirotechnicznych powstają duże ilości gazów o wysokiej temperaturze i ciśnieniu zdolnych do odspajania bloków skalnych od calizny. W ramach pracy wykonano badanie składu gazowych produktów spalania pirotechnicznego wyrobu gazogenerującego ROCKSPLITTER oraz porównano je ze składem produktów detonacji alternatywnie użytego skalnego lontu detonującego pentrytowego. Badanie składu gazów wykonano w Laboratorium Badań Materiałów Wybuchowych i Zapalników Elektrycznych przy Kopalni Doświadczalnej „Barbara” w Głównym Instytucie Górnictwa w Mikołowie na stanowisku badawczym do oznaczania gazowych produktów detonacji górniczych materiałów wybuchowych. Badanie to wykonano modyfikując metodę opisaną w Normie Europejskiej PN-EN-13631-16:2006P pt. „Materiały wybuchowe do użytku cywilnego. Materiały wybuchowe kruszące. Wykrywanie i oznaczanie gazów toksycznych”.

    Blasting operations are a risk to the lives of mining workers. Blasting gases are particularly dangerous factors – these are the products from detonations which come from applying explosives which contain toxic nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. The aim of this study was the experimental determination of the composition of the blasting gases from a variety of explosives currently being produced in Poland. On the basis of research results, analysis was carried out. To perform research of the composition of blasting gases, after the detonation of explosives, a laboratory test stand was used. The study involved the determination of gaseous products, i.e. nitrogen oxides and carbon oxides. Research was carried out in accordance with research methodology based on European Directive 93/15/EEC and the harmonized standard PN-EN 13631-16. These studies provided information on the amount of harmful gaseous products from mining explosives after detonation.

    W publikacji przedstawiono badania wpływu struktury i składu górniczych materiałów wybuchowych (MW) na zawartość toksycznych składników w gazach postrzałowych powstających po ich detonacji. Badaniom poddano MW krajowych oraz zagranicznych producentów działających na terytorium Polski. Ich podstawę stanowiły metody bazujące na polskich oraz europejskich normach. Badania gazów postrzałowych MW wykonano zarówno metodą dotychczas obowiązującą w Polsce, jak i opracowaną przez autorkę w ramach realizacji pracy doktorskiej, zgodną z wymaganiami Dyrektywy 93/15/EEC oraz Normy Europejskiej EN 13631-16:2004. Konsekwencją jej wdrożenia było przedstawienie propozycji nowych krajowych wymagań do dopuszczania MW w górnictwie podziemnym w odniesieniu do badania gazów postrzałowych. Określono sposób szacowania toksyczności ogólnej oraz jej granicznej wartości, na podstawie której mogłoby odbywać się klasyfikowanie MW do użytku podziemnego.
    In the publication, research of structure influence and composition of mining explosive material (MW: Polish acronym of explosive material) on the content of toxic components in post-shot gases originating after their detonation, was presented. The research was done on MW of national and foreign producers functioning on the territory of Poland. Its foundation formed methods based on Polish and European norms. Research of post-shot gases MW was carried out both, employing a method functioning hitherto in Poland, as well as the one, devised by the author within the framework of doctoral thesis realization, in compliance with the requirements of the Directive 93/15/EEC and European Norm EN 13631-16:2004. The consequence of its implementation was the presentation of proposals of a new national requirements of admittance MW in underground mining in relation to the study of post-shot gases. Method of estimating general toxicity and its boundary value was devised, on the basis of which classification of MW to underground use could take place.
