Opis:
The structural isomers of nitroborazines were optimized at M062X/6-311++G** level of theory. The effects of the NO2 group on the molecular volume, molecular surface area, crystal density, positive, negative and total average potentials, variances, average deviation and electrostatic balance parameter on the molecular surface were considered. In addition, some important thermodynamic properties of these compounds, such as gas phase and condensed phase enthalpies of formation (ΔfH° (g) and ΔfH° (c)), and the enthalpy of sublimation (ΔH° sub), were calculated. It was found that the crystal densities (ρ) are in the range 1.4471.902 g/cm3. These values are slightly smaller than the corresponding values of their carbon analogues (except for the mononitro compounds). Meanwhile, the values of ρ for B-substituted, di- and trinitroborazines are larger than the related N-substituted compounds. The calculated values of ΔH° sub are in the range 20.1-30.4 kcal/mol. The calculated values of ΔfH° (g) and ΔfH° (c) for the B-substituted nitroborazines are more negative than those for the N-substituted ones. The stability sequence of the hydrogen bonded network structures of nitroborazines in the condensed phase is: dinitroborazine > mononitroborazine > trinitroborazine. The detonation pressure and velocity of these compounds were also calculated. Nitroborazines can be introduced as energetic compounds with high thermodynamic stability and relatively low detonation performance.

Trichoderma is one of the most exploited biocontrol agents for the management of plant diseases. In biocontrol ecology, the critical factors are detection, and the monitoring and recovery of specific biocontrol agents either naturally present or deliberately released into the environment. Protoplast fusion is an appropriate tool for the improvement of biocontrol Trichoderma strains. Protoplast isolation from Trichoderma harzianum was achieved using 24 h culture age, 6.6 mg/ml Novazym L 1412 at 30°C which resulted the maximum protoplast yield of 5 × 108/ml. The self-fused protoplasts were regenerated and 12 fusants were selected based on their growth rate on 2% colloidal chitin medium. Next, a comparison was done for chitinase and antagonistic activity. Transcriptomic analysis based on quantitative real-time RT-PCR, demonstrated that T8-05 fusant expressed 1.5 fold of chit42 transcript as compared with the parental line. This fusant with 7.02±0.15U chitinase activity showed a higher growth inhibition rate (100%) than the parent strain, against Rhizoctonia solani. To obtain a genetically marked fusant that can be used as a biomonitor, the fusant was cotransformed with the gfp and amdS genes. The morphology and viability of selected cotransformant (FT8-7MK-05-2) was similar to the parent. Green fluorescing conidia were observed within the first 2 days of incubation in the soil, and this was followed by the formation of chlamydopores after 60 days. The colonisation of the gfp-tagged fusant was also monitored visually on R. solani sclerotia by scanning electron microscopy. Production of gfp-tagged fusant of Trichoderma spp. provides a potentially useful tool for monitoring hyphal growth patterns and the population of biocontrol agent isolates introduced into environmental systems.

A reliable method is introduced for predicting the detonation velocity of CHNOFClAl explosives through suitable decomposition paths. The predicted decomposition products are used to estimate the heat of detonation (decomposition) and the detonation velocity. For non-ideal aluminized explosives, the Chapman-Jouguet detonation velocities are significantly different from those expected from existing thermodynamic computer codes for equilibrium and steady state calculations. The predicted detonation velocities give more reliable results for CHNO explosives than one of the best available empirical methods over a wide range of loading densities. The new model provides better agreement with respect to experimental values for aluminized explosives than the computed results from the BKWS equation of state using full and partial equilibrium of aluminium.

An improved simple method is presented for calculation of the detonation velocity of CHNO and CHNOFCl explosives, as well as non-ideal explosives containing aluminum (Al) and ammonium nitrate (AN) additives. In contrast to the available complex computer codes, where the estimated detonation velocities of non-ideal explosives for equilibrium and steady state calculations show significant differences from the measured data, this simple method gives more reliable results. Suitable decomposition paths are suggested in which the partial interaction of Al with the gaseous products and the decomposition of AN are assumed for composite explosives containing Al/AN additives. The predicted detonation velocities using the new method are good compared to those from one of the well-known empirical methods and from computer codes using full and partial equilibrium of Al/AN.

Phenolic compounds form one of the main classes of secondary metabolites. They display a large range of structures and are responsible for the major organoleptic characteristics of plant-derived foods and beverages, particularly color and taste properties. They also contribute to the nutritional qualities of fruits and vegetables. Among these compounds, flavonoids constitute one of the most prevailing groups among plant phenolics. Owing to their importance in food organoleptic properties and human health, a better understanding of their structures and biological activities indicates their potentials as therapeutic agents and also for predicting and controlling food quality. Due to the variety of pharmacological activities in the mammalian body, flavonoids are more correctly referred as “nutraceuticals”.
Związki fenolowe są jedną z głównych grup metabolitów wtórnych. Mogą mieć bardzo różną strukturę i są odpowiedzialne za większość cech organoleptycznych żywności pochodzenia roślinnego i napojów, szczególnie za ich właściwości kolorystyczne i smakowe. Podwyższają także wartości odżywcze owoców i warzyw. Flawonoidy są jedną z największych grup fenoli roślinnych. Lepsze zrozumienie budowy i właściwości biologicznych tych związków może wykazać ich potencjał jako związków leczniczych, a także mających znaczenie w jakości żywności. Ze względu na różnorodność działań farmakologicznych w organizmach ssaków, flawonoidy powinno się nazywać „nutraceutykami”.

The experiment studied the effect of different nitrogen levels on the biology and life table parameters of the cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover reared on Chrysanthemum indicum Kitan. The fertilizer treatments were administered at 0, 25, 50, 100 and 150% of the agronomic recommended concentration. The aphids were collected from greenhouses in Mahalat and transported to pots. The different nitrogen fertilizer levels did not show a specific effect on the potassium and phosphorus content in leaves. The intrinsic rate of increase and net reproductive rate ranged from 0.173 to 0.225, and 15.47 to 28.28, respectively, at different tested fertilizer levels. The aphids showed the significantly lowest mean generation time and the highest finite rate of increase when fed on chrysanthemum fertilized at a 150% fertilizer level. The aphids fecundity and survival showed a positive correlation when the fertilizer concentration was increased. On the other hand, the highest life expectancy was obtained for the aphids fed on chrysanthemum with a 25% nitrogen level. The present data suggest that plant nitrogen content is an important factor contributing to the increase severity of the cotton aphid as a pest of chrysanthemum.
