- A balanced development is the new pattern of the socioeconomic development; it provides the citizens with a high standard of living through a balanced protection of the environmental capital, human capital and the capital produced by people. The rules of a balanced development are also being introduced into the field of marketing which is called "balanced" or "green". The implementation of such rules into the field of marketing has a significant influence on the changes in consumers' attitudes in the market, which is the subject of the following research. Special attention has been paid to the influence of ecology on consumption, to consumers' ecological awareness, and to the influence of balanced marketing on the attitudes of Polish consumers.
