Opis:
In this article, the authors describe their experience of introducing students to online services for developing electronic educational resources with multimedia content. The sample of research included pedagogical education students from different years of first degree (bachelor) studies. The article presents the results obtained in the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia. The authors developed an e-environment for a training module, with all the content and interaction algorithms. In the experiment, the authors measured various indicators of students’ media competence development: informational, perceptual, motivational, contact, and interpretation (based on A. V. Fedorov’s approach). After students had studied the proposed module, the analyses of their projects were made.

Opis:
The study explored the legislative database for the maritime sector to be sustainable and have an intact blue economy. The problem for organizations with shipowners that have fishing boats older than 20 years is stated. Decision-making authorities face challenges nowadays. To be in the fleet for the next decade, shipowners for their ships should deploy energy efficiency projects for marine system retrofitting to improve energy efficiency and meet environmental regulations. The Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan’s development principles are discussed due to the current need for its deployment from 2021, so shipowners can contribute to the fast adoption of new regulations by the International Maritime Organization. In this work it is being offered to incorporate energy management issues with guidelines for upcoming regulations as well as those that are currently enforced. To improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact and cut fuel consumption costs, marine system retrofitting has been proposed. In this paper the focus is being put on studying energy management strengths and weaknesses which can lead to a qualitative understanding of the performance of the organizational structure, this work also focuses on the management settings concerning energy efficiency. If the organization wants to win by integrating energy policy, high-quality communication or promotion of energy efficiency issues should be employed. Marine plastic debris challenges fishing carriers on the African Union route. A possible beneficial solution for shipowners is discussed in this study.

For the maritime sector to be sustainable and to have an intact blue economy, shipowners should be ready to implement Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plans alongside energy efficiency projects. The problem for organizations and shipowners having fishing carriers older than 20 years is highlighted and the following challenges arise for decision-making authorities. To keep such ships in the fleet for the next decade, shipowners should deploy energy efficiency projects for marine system retrofitting to improve energy efficiency and meet environmental regulations. An energy audit is performed and an energy efficiency program is proposed with guidelines for regulations that are currently coming into force. To improve energy efficiency, reduce the environmental impact, and cut fuel consumption costs, marine system retrofitting is done, in a particular case, with two options proposed. The first is a cascade refrigeration system with hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide, where the shipowner gains an energy efficiency improvement of about 20%. The second option is a two-stage refrigeration system with ammonium as the environmentally friendly refrigerant, which improves the energy efficiency by about 26%. Technical and economic issues have been discussed.

Opis:
This article represents an overview of programmed learning and audiovisual learning. This aim will be achieved through the presentation of the historical stages of the implementation of information technology in educational practice. The concepts of Programmed learning are critically analysed from the behaviorism standpoint, while audiovisual learning concepts are presented from the point of view of Gestalt psychology. The summary of the 20th century European and Russian scientific research in the fields of programmed learning and audiovisual learning leads to the integration of these ideas into the concepts of distance learning, e-learning and blended learning within a life learning strategy.

The paper presents a synopsis of the evolution of methods and techniques up to the digital age and characterises the main aspects of behaviourist and constructivist models in order to study the development of new advanced pedagogical tools and methods in education science in constructivist environment. For the purpose of the study, an analysis of the technological evolution during the last decades and its impact on education science was made, with a special focus on virtual teaching and learning. The practical outcome of the study was a series of online seminars and workshops, prepared by the international team of the IRNet project. The keynotes and workshops were held during DLCC2017 Conference (Theoretical and Practical Aspects of Distance Learning, subtitle: Effective Development of Teachers’ Skills in the Area of ICT and E-learning) at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. Video presentations and an automatic translation are available at: https://areis-en-constructivism.blogspot.pt.

Opis:
The paper examines the relations between teacher competencies and the specificity of the use of ICT tools in professional activities. The research was carried out within the frame of the IRNet project with the participation of two universities – the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and the University of Extremadura, Spain. The results of the survey described give a general idea of various ICT tools use intensity in both countries. Overall, teachers take advantage of the electronic content capabilities for fostering students’ motivation. Teachers benefit from ICT tools’ efficiency and performance, and they use cloud technologies for supporting networking and collaboration. Spanish teachers appear to be more active users of ICT tools. They apply LMS more intensively, together with own lectures recordings and foreign language e-resources. For facilitating students’ communication, they apply discussion forums and online lectures intensively. For management, the most popular tools are electronic organisers, criterial rubrics, and online polls. The choice of e-resources that teachers use is largely based on their communication preferences and ways to manage teaching; these e-resources aim at facilitating learners’ cognitive activities. As in the case of the active use of LMS, the electronic system induces the application of available communication means (e.g. forums, online lectures, etc.) together with the appropriate management capabilities (e.g. electronic organisers, criterial rubrics, online polls, etc.). The results of the survey can help identify problem areas in teachers’ ICT competencies.
