Opis:
Honania complicidentata and Tsiyuania simplicidentata are pareiasaur taxa based on material from the Shangshihezi Formation of Jiyuan, Henan Province, China that were earlier designated as nomina vana. Based on the study of new material, and the reexamination of old specimens, we determine that the pareiasaur material from Jiyuan represents a single species that differs from all known species from other localities. Thus, we resurrect the name H. complicidentata for the material from Jiyuan. H. complicidentata is characterized by maxillary teeth with high crowns, dentary teeth slightly posteriorly inclined compared to the dentary dorsal margin, nearly all preserved marginal teeth have a cusped cingulum on the lingual surface, and humerus without an ectepicondylar foramen. Phylogenetic analysis shows Honania is more basal than Shansisaurus and Shihtienfenia from the Sunjiagou Formation of China.

Opis:
Triblock copolymer polyNIMMO-HTPB-polyNIMMO was synthesized by cationic ring opening polymerization of NIMMO (3-nitratomethyl-3-methyloxetane) in the presence of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene catalyzed by BF3·OEt2. The polymer was characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy, and GPC. DSC was used to investigate the thermal behaviour of the triblock copolymer and its exothermic decomposition peak was found to be at 215 °C. All of the results indicated that the triblock copolymer polyNIMMO-HTPB-polyNIMMO might serve as a potential energetic propellant binder.

A high energy combustion agent (tetraethylammonium decahydrodecaborate, BHN) was prepared by means of an ion exchange reaction (IER), and the prepared samples were characterized by the advanced diagnostic techniques of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) etc. The effects of BHN particles on the hazard and combustion properties of fuel rich solid propellants were investigated. The results showed that the BHN samples and fuel rich propellants containing BHN particles can be prepared successfully and solidified safely. The peak temperature of thermal decomposition and the heat of decomposition of the BHN samples prepared were 305.8 °C and 210.9 J•g-1 at a heating rate of 10 K•min-1, respectively. The burning rate and pressure exponent of fuel rich solid propellants decreases with increases in the fraction of BHN particles in the propellant formulation. Compared with the reference formulation (sample BP-1), the burning rate of the propellant with 10% mass fraction of BHN particles (sample BP-4) had decreased 30% at 3.0 MPa, and the pressure exponent had dropped from 0.44 to 0.41.

Opis:
Pine needles and foodstuffs collected from Beijing, China, were analyzed by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) combined with organic solvent extraction for total halogens, extractable organohalogens (EOX) and extractable persistent organohalogens (EPOX). The INAA detection limits are 50 ng, 8 ng and 3.5 ng for Cl, Br and I, respectively. The contents and distribution patterns of organohalogens in these samples are reported. EOCl accounted for 0.013 0.016% and 1.6 2.7% of the total chlorine in yogurt and apples, respectively, which suggested that chlorine in foodstuffs mainly existed as inorganic species and non-extractable organochlorines. EOCl contents in pine needles and foodstuffs were noticeably higher than those of EOBr and EOI. For pine needles, yogurt and apples, 1.6 34%, 23 58% and 29 35% of EOCl remained as extractable persistent organochlorine (EPOCl), respectively. Pine needle containing higher EOCl contents in chemical industrial and traffic hub areas indicated that chemical industries and exhaust emission from vehicle were the main sources of organochlorines in the Beijing's air. The relative proportions of the known organochlorines (such as HCHs, DDTs, chlordanes, heptachlor, HCB and PCBs) to the total EOCl and EPOCl were 0.04 1.6% and 0.7 21.5%, respectively, which implied that the identity of species of a major portion of the EOCl and EPOCl measured in pine needles was unknown.

Opis:
The application of the compact spinning technique with a suction groove could reduce the spinning triangle to a minimum and dramatically decrease the hairiness of ramie yarn. The change range of negative pressure was discussed when the hairiness index was reduced to a minimum for the best gathering effect. The relationship between the doffing time and hairiness index of compact yarn was studied. When the suction groove was not cleaned, the spinning times influenced the fibre number accumulated inside the suction groove. The cleaning suction groove made airflow run smoothly, and the gathering effect of fibres was basically unchanged; thus the hairiness index of yarn rarely fluctuated. For compact yarn compared with 100% 27.8 tex traditional ring-spun yarn, the 4 mm hairiness index and above decreases by more than 79.72%. The result shows that ramie compact spinning with a suction groove could gather edge fibres effectively and reduce harmful hairiness markedly.
Zastosowanie przędzenia kompaktowego z rowkiem zasysającym pomogło zredukować trójkąt przędący i w ten sposób intensywnie zmniejszyć włochatość otrzymywanych przędz.

Opis:
The cambial activity and periodicity of secondary xylem and phloem formation have been less studied in tropical tree species than in temperate ones. Cambium activity is the only source of timber production. Studies on its activity and xylem formation can provide helpful data for dendrochronology and possible factors that control tree growth, the yield and quality of wood. Cinnamomum camphora is an important fast-growing tree for furniture and sculpture wood in South China. Its dynamics of cambial activity was not reported. During the growth season in 2011, five trees of Cinnamomum camphora plantation were monitored on the campus of Huazhong Agricultural University in central china (located on 113°41’ to 115°05’ E and 29°58’ to 31°22’ N). Sampling time was from 13, February 2011 to 13, February 2012. Some small stems of 15–20 cm length were selected to sample in the middle of 2–3 years old health branches in the central crown of these trees. The observational study found that the cambium of camphor trees was active from March to October and dormant from November to February. Onset of cambial cell division was observed in early March, one week after sprouting of new buds. The morphology of the cells and number of cell layers in the cambium zone varied throughout the year. In early March, cambium reactivated with the rising of temperature, the cell wall was relative thick. The number of cell layers increased from 2–3 in middle Feb. to 3–5. In June, the number of cell layers in cambium reached the maximum of 5–7 in a radial direction. In mid March, phloem cells began to differentiate, followed by xylem three weeks later. The number of cell layers in immature phloem and xylem increased dramatically before mid June and the increment of cell layers in xylem was almost fifth times of phloem in the differentiating process. The phloem cells mainly stopped dividing new cells in end of October, but xylem cells were still in the activity a week later. The annual activities of cambium was in accordance with the air mean temperature change in 2011–2012. The results showed that the cambial activity and formation of xylem and phloem were related to the environmental factors, especially the temperature.

In order to explore the polymorphic transition law for ε-CL-20 in composite systems, the polymorphic transition process of pure ε-CL-20 crystals stimulated by heat was investigated by the X-ray Diffraction (XRD) method, and the kinetic parameters of the polymorphic transition process were calculated (including the apparent activation energy Ea and the pre-exponential factor lnA). Meanwhile the effects of different additives on the polymorphic transition process and kinetics of ε-CL-20 were explored in detail. The experimental results showed that the ε-form tends to transform into the γ- form on heating and that the Ea and lnA for the transition process were 209.97 kJ/mol and 57.47, respectively. The first group of additives clearly promoted the polymorphic transition of ε-CL-20 and lowered the initial transition temperature and the activation energy. The second and third groups of additives inhibited the polymorphic transition of ε-CL-20 and raised the initial transition temperature and the activation energy.

Basing on the concept of circular economy, a novel method of industrial organic wastewater treatment by using adsorption on coal is introduced. Coal is used to adsorb organic pollutants from coking wastewaters. After adsorption, the coal would be used in its original purpose, as its value was not reduced and the pollutant was reused. Through the systemic circulation of coking wastewater zero emissions can be achieved. Lignite, coking coal and anthracite were used as adsorbents in batch experiments. The quinoline removal efficiency of coal adsorption was investigated. Both the coking coal and anthracite exhibited properties well-suited for quinoline adsorption removal. The experimental data were fitted to the pseudo-first- order and pseudo-second-order kinetic equations as well as intraparticle diffusion and Bangham models. An attempt was made to find the rate-limiting step involved in the adsorption processes. Both boundary-layer diffusion and intraparticle diffusion are likely involved in the rate-limiting mechanisms. Effect of pH on coal adsorptions by coking coal was investigated. The process of quinoline adsorption on coal was researched. The coal adsorption method for removing refractory organic pollutants is a great hope for achieving wastewater zero emission for coking plants.

The experimental data were fitted to Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms as well as Temkin, Redlich–Peterson (R-P) and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) models. Both Freundlich Isotherm and D-R model provided reasonable models of the adsorption process. The thermodynamic parameters of quinoline adsorption on coking coal were calculated. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the adsorption process is exothermic and is a physical adsorption. The △S° value indicated that the adsorption entropy decreased because the adsorbate molecule was under restrictions after it adsorption on the coal surface. The coal adsorption method for removing refractory organic pollutants is a great hope for achieving zero emission waste water for a coking plant.

A new technique for pretreatment of coking wastewater is introduced based on the concept of circular economy. Coal is fed into a coking system after adsorption. This study validates the feasibility of using coking coal to adsorb organic pollutants in coking wastewater. The sorption kinetics and equilibrium sorption isotherms of coking coal for removal of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and phenol from coking wastewater was also discussed in this paper. Gas chromatograph/mass spectroscopy (GC/MS) was used to detect changes in the quality of coking wastewater. The results showed that when coking coal dosage was 120 g/dm3, 65% of COD and 34% of phenol in waste water can be removed after 40 min of agitation. The surface functional groups of coking coal before and after adsorption were observed with a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The kinetics of COD and phenol adsorption from coking wastewater by coking coal fitted the pseudo second-order model. The adsorption process of coking coal can be classified into two categories, namely, rapid and slow. The Freundlich isotherm provided a better fit with all adsorption isotherms than the Langmuir isotherm. Coking coal could be a suitable low-cost adsorbent for recalcitrant organic pollutants.

The digital holographic phase microscopy (DHPM) technique which has been proposed for cellular morphology and dynamic analysis yielded highly desirable results. However, for nucleated cells (especially white blood cells (WBCs)), their submicroscopic structure has not yet been deconstructed through a phase unwrapping method due to the heterogeneity of an internal phase. By analyzing the phase heterogeneity of subclasses of WBCs, the typical phase models of them are built first in this paper; using the simulation method, the wrapped phase distributions of these models are obtained. However, by optimizing the wrapped phase maps and analyzing the relationships between them and typical blood cells, their features are selected and extracted. Then the models built are sorted out from each other successfully without unwrapping via analyzing these extracted features, which provides a valuable approach and technological base for the classification and identification of blood cells.

The as-grown crystals show 80% of transmittance with an absorption edge of 285 nm. The relative light yields of BGSO crystals are found to be 7.2%, 6.3%, and 4.2% of CsI(Tl) crystal for x=0, 0.05, and 0.15, respectively. The energy resolutions of these crystals are 18.9%, 21.3%, and 24.7%, respectively, with PMT for 662 keV gamma rays at room temperature when exposed to $\text{}^{137}Cs$ γ -ray. The scintillation performance of BGSO crystals clearly deteriorates with the increase of Ge content. However, the appropriate number of germanium ions doped to BSO crystal can improve its crystallization behavior and effectively restrain component segregation. It is expected that large size crystals of BGSO will be grown and applied to the dual readout calorimeter in the nearest future.

Opis:
Numerical simulation of elastic human body deformation and dynamic pressure and displacement distribution are critical for pressure comfort and optimal design of apparel products. This paper demonstrates an analytical method for simulating dynamic pressure and displacement at the top part of men’s socks using the finite element method (FEM). The dynamic pressure is divided into two parts: the first is pressure with time, and the second is pressure with walking. Pressure with time is set at six periods (maximum 12 h). After measuring pressure values in different periods of time and simulating pressure and displacement distribution using ANSYS software, the tendency of pressure and displacement changes with time at the top part of men’s socks can be obtained. We divided the walking process into four phases to analyse the variation rule of pressure and displacement changes with movement in this research work. Meanwhile the lower leg cross section is divided into four equal regions according to the angle, and dynamic changes in the area shrinkage mass of each region can be calculated, respectively. All these solutions provide a theoretical reference for the optimal design of the top part of men’s socks.
