Opis:
MCM-41 mesoporous material was prepared under a standard conditions by using cetyltrime-thylammonium bromide as a structure-directing agent and tetraethyl orthosilicate as silica source from the liquid phase at 80 °C. Powder X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy used to characterize the product, showed that the MCM-41material had an average particle size of 110 nm. The synthesized material was used to investigate the effects of acidity, adsorption time, the concentration of Hg2+, adsorbent dosage and temperature on the adsorption of Hg2+. The results showed that the optimal adsorptive conditions were: pH 5.0, m(MCM-41):mHg2+ 6.67, temperature 20 °C and contact adsorption time 60 min, for the initial Hg2+concentration of 1.0 mg/cm3. The maximum adsorptive amount of Hg2+ was 56.48 mg Hg2+/g MCM-41. The results of the desorptive effect of three desorption agents such as HCl, HNO3 and HAc showed that the best desorbent was HCl at the concentration of 0.10 mol/dm3. The highest desorption efficiency was 77.21% for the desorption time 2 h.

Opis:
This paper presents a Hybrid APF/PFC/PPF Circuit (active power filtering and power factor correction circuit aided by shunt passive filter) for harmonic suppression and power factor correction in a marine electric network. By employing the proposed hybrid circuit, marine electric power network voltage and current can be maintained as being sinusoidal, and the power factor is close to 1. The effectiveness of the proposed method that is applied to a marine electric network is demonstrated through a simulation experiment. The results show that the expected performances are achieved.

Opis:
An improved harmonic detection method based on average arithmetic is proposed. According to the research results, the designed solution uses an LPF (low-pass-filter) and a mean value module connected in series instead of the conventional mean value module, and simultaneously, a three-phase voltage phase-locked module instead of commonly used PLL (phase lock loop) module is applied in order to reduce the influence caused by three-phase distorted voltage and rapid variation of load. The experimental results show that the application of this solution leads to increase in the accuracy of harmonics detection for distorted three-phase voltage and rapid variation of load.

Catalytic cracking of volatiles derived from wet pig manure (WPM), dried pig manure and their compost was investigated over Ni/Al2O3  and Ni-loaded on lignite char (Ni/C). Non-catalytic pyrolysis of WPM resulted in a carbon conversion of 43.3% and 18.5% in heavy tar and light tar, respectively. No tar was formed when Ni/Al2O3  was introduced for WPM gasification and the gas yield significantly reached to a high value of 64.4 mmol/g at 650°C. When Ni/C was employed, 5.9% of carbon in the light tar was found at 650°C, revealing that the Ni/C is not active enough for cracking of tarry materials. The pyrolysis vapor was cracked completely and gave a H2-rich tar free syngas in high yield. High water amount of WPM promotes steam gasification of char support, causing the deactivation of Ni/C. Such a study may be beneficial to the development of livestock manure catalytic gasification technology.

Opis:
Phased-mission systems (PMS) are the system in which the component stresses and the system configuration may change over time. Real-world PMS usually consist of a large number of repetitive phases and repairable components. Existing approaches for the reliability analysis of this kind of PMS tend to suffer from the problem of state explosion or binary-decision-diagram (BDD) explosion. This paper presents a truncation method based on the BDD and Markov chains to solve the scaling issue. In our approach, the truncation mitigates the BDD explosion and broadens the applicability of the BDD & Markov method. Different from the classic truncations, our truncation limit is flexible, which ensures that ensure the truncation error is lower than the predefined threshold. The advantages of the proposed method are illustrated through two practical PMS which are challenging to classic non-simulation approaches.
Systemy o zadaniach okresowych (phased mission systems, PMS) to takie systemy, w których naprężenia elementów składowych oraz konfiguracja systemu mogą z czasem ulegać zmianie. W warunkach rzeczywistych, PMS zazwyczaj charakteryzują się dużą liczbą powtarzalnych faz zadaniowych i składają się z wielu naprawialnych elementów. Istniejące metody analizy niezawodności tego typu systemów niestety posiadają ograniczenia związane z problemem eksplozji stanów lub eksplozji diagramów binarnych decyzji (binary decision diagram, BDD) Praca przedstawia metodę obcinania opartą na BDD oraz łańcuchach Markowa, która pozwala rozwiązać wspomniane problemy złożoności obliczeniowej. W proponowanym podejściu, obcięcie minimalizuje eksplozję BDD zwiększając możliwości zastosowania metody opartej na BDD oraz łańcuchach Markowa. W odróżnieniu od klasycznego obcinania, w opracowanej przez nas metodzie granica obcięcia jest elastyczna co pozwala zredukować błąd obcięcia poniżej wcześniej określonego progu. Zalety proponowanej metody zilustrowano na przykładzie dwóch stosowanych w praktyce systemów PMS, które stanowią wyzwanie dla klasycznych metod niesymulacyjnych.

The transformation during wave propagation is significantly important for the calculations of hydraulic and coastal engineering, as well as the sediment transport. The exact wave height deformation calculation on the coasts is essential to near-shore hydrodynamics research and the structure design of coastal engineering. According to the wave shoaling results gained from the elliptical cosine wave theory, the nonlinear wave dispersion relation is adopted to develop the expression of the corresponding nonlinear wave shoaling coefficient. Based on the extended elliptic mild slope equation, an efficient wave numerical model is presented in this paper for predicting wave deformation across the complex topography and the surf zone, incorporating the nonlinear wave dispersion relation, the nonlinear wave shoaling coefficient and other energy dissipation factors. Especially, the phenomenon of wave recovery and second breaking could be shown by the present model. The classical Berkhoff single elliptic topography wave tests, the sinusoidal varying topography experiment, and complex composite slopes wave flume experiments are applied to verify the accuracy of the calculation of wave heights. Compared with experimental data, good agreements are found upon single elliptical topography and one-dimensional beach profiles, including uniform slope and step-type profiles. The results indicate that the newly-developed nonlinear wave shoaling coefficient improves the calculated accuracy of wave transformation in the surf zone efficiently, and the wave breaking is the key factor affecting the wave characteristics and need to be considered in the nearshore wave simulations.

Plants were regenerated from immature embryo cultures of 35 winter wheat genotypes. General responses of regenerated plants were investigated and a total of 7142 R₂ spike lines from 1593 R₁ plants were assessed in the field for somaclonal variants in 1985/86, 1986/87 and 1987/88. Selected variants were studied for their possible genetic inheritance. From regenerated plantlets, 81% survived and 63% produced fertile plants. Forms with reduced plant height, length of spike and other morphological abnormalities were found in this progeny. Populations of R₁ plants were highly variable due mainly to the physiological disturbances resulting from the in vitro process. Overall somaclonal variation frequencies were 14.2% per plant basis and 5.3% per R₂ spike basis. The variants were similar in the three different R₂ generations with predominant variants being negative in plant height, maturity, awns, spike type and plant type. Both uniform R₂ variant families and spike lines were found in addition to the segregating variants which constituted the majority. On average, in a variant family or line, 18% and 14% of their component lines and plants were variants, respectively. Inheritability was demonstrated for the uniform variant families and spike lines as well as segregated variants. Of those 134 selections, about 70% were classified as inheritable. Both recessive and dominant gene mutations at one, two or three loci were evident in some variants as suggested by the segregating data.

Opis:
The first ever attempt at fully autonomous dock-to-dock operation has been tested and demonstrated successfully at the end of 2018. The revolutionary shift is feared to have a negative impact on the safety of navigation and the getting of real-time situation awareness. Especially, the centralized context onboard could be changed to a distributed context. In navigation safety domain, monitoring, control, assessment of dangerous situations, support of operators of decision-making support system should be implemented in real time. In the context of autonomous ships, decision-making processes will play an important role under such ocean autonomy, therefore the same technologies should consist of adequate system intelligence. At the same time, situation awareness is the key element of the decision-making processes. Although there is substantial research on situation awareness measurement techniques, they are not suitable to directly execute quantitative processing for the situation awareness of autonomous ships navigation. Hence, a novel quantitative model of situation awareness is firstly proposed based on the system safety control structure of remotely controlled vessel. The data source is greatly limited, but the main result still indicates that the probability of operator lose adequate situation awareness of the autonomous ship is significantly higher than the conventional ship. Finally, the paper provides a probabilistic theory and model for high-level abstractions of situation awareness to guide future evaluation of the navigation safety of autonomous ships.

Co-pyrolysis characteristics of sludge with coal and sludge briquetted with coal were studied by the TG-FTIR method. From TG data, weight loss of sludge briquetted was higher than that of sludge and sludge and coal which means that thermal reaction effect of sludge briquetted is better than those of other two materials. Gas products of pyrolysis were CO, CO2, H2O, alcohol, ketone, acid, hydrocarbon, amine and azine from the FTIR analysis. At last, evolving patterns of the pyrolyses and the yields of their gas products have been recorded, providing extremely important data on the mechanism of the process.

Opis:
Most researches of network reliability generally assume that the system structures do not change with time. This paper presents the concept of multi-phase network systems (MPNS) to consider dynamic characteristics of networks, and analyze the reliability of MPNS. MPNS reliability is evaluated through a cross-phase binary decision diagram (BDD). The BDD-based algorithm can act as a platform to consider various components behaviors such as repair and growing pressure. Case study shows that the proposed MPNS concept is an effective description of some practical communication networks, and the cross-phase BDD model is efficient in analyzing MPNS reliability.
Większość badań niezawodności sieci ogólnie przyjąć, że struktury systemu nie zmieniają się w czasie. W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję systemów sieciowych wielofazowych (MPNS) rozpatrywanie dynamicznych właściwości sieci i analizy niezawodności MPNS. MPNS niezawodność jest oceniany przez cross-fazowego schematu decyzyjnego binarny (BDD). Algorytm z siedzibą w BDD może działać jako platforma do rozważenia różnych komponentów zachowań, takich jak naprawy i rosnącej presji. Studium przypadku pokazuje, że proponowana koncepcja MPNS jest skutecznym opis niektórych praktycznych sieci komunikacyjnych, a cross-fazowego modelu BDD jest skuteczny w analizie MPNS niezawodność.

In order to explore the polymorphic transition law for ε-CL-20 in composite systems, the polymorphic transition process of pure ε-CL-20 crystals stimulated by heat was investigated by the X-ray Diffraction (XRD) method, and the kinetic parameters of the polymorphic transition process were calculated (including the apparent activation energy Ea and the pre-exponential factor lnA). Meanwhile the effects of different additives on the polymorphic transition process and kinetics of ε-CL-20 were explored in detail. The experimental results showed that the ε-form tends to transform into the γ- form on heating and that the Ea and lnA for the transition process were 209.97 kJ/mol and 57.47, respectively. The first group of additives clearly promoted the polymorphic transition of ε-CL-20 and lowered the initial transition temperature and the activation energy. The second and third groups of additives inhibited the polymorphic transition of ε-CL-20 and raised the initial transition temperature and the activation energy.
