During a three-year study conducted at the Experimental Garden of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, the yield and quality of raspberry fruit of the summer-fruiting cultivars ‘Benefis’, ‘Laszka’ and the autumn-fruiting cultivars ‘Polesie’, ‘Polka’ and ‘Popiel’ were evaluated. The raspberry harvest was carried out on three carefully selected dates, i.e. for summer-fruiting cultivars: in the first, second and third decades of July and for autumn-fruiting cultivars in the second decade of August and the first and third decades of September. The highest yields were obtained from the cultivars ‘Polesie’ and ‘Polka’. The fruit of the tested cultivars collected during the third term had significantly lower masses. The highest contents of dry matter in fruit were recorded for ‘Polka’ and of organic acids for ‘Popiel’ and ‘Benefis’. The fruit harvested in the second and the third term had a higher content of dry matter.

Artykuł przedstawia model symulacyjny ograniczania ekspansji rozlewu olejowego. W pracy omówiono założenia i przeznaczenie modelu. Przedstawiono składowe oraz architekturę programu komputerowego, na podstawie którego zbudowano model symulacyjny. Zaprezentowano panel konfiguracji programu oraz przedstawiono funkcjonalność poszczególnych elementów panelu. Istotny element artykułu stanowi wynik działania programu przedstawiony za pomocą wybranego przykładu oraz zestawienie parametrów uzyskanych na drodze symulacji. Podejście symulacyjne dostarcza parametry ograniczania rozlewu olejowego scharakteryzowane ilościowo co pozwala analizować przebieg symulowanych działań ratowniczych.
The article presents a simulation model limiting oil spill expansion. The work discusses the assumptions and purpose of the model. The components and the architecture of the computer program were presented based on which the simulation model was built. Configuration panel of the program and specific functions of the elements of the panel were presented. The important element of the article is result of the program shown by the means of the chosen example and parameters comparison that resulted from the simulation. Simulation approach delivers parameters limiting the oil spill expansion characterized in quantity that allows to analyse simulated rescue actions.

This study was aimed at evaluating the effect of sublethal doses of glyphosate on physiological parameters of a common ornamental plant Mexican marigold (Tagetes erecta). The herbicide was applied in the following doses: 720 g ⋅ ha–1 (standard field dose), 144 g ⋅ ha–1, 28.8 g ⋅ ha–1, and 14.4 g ⋅ ha–1, in the form of a spraying treatment of plants in a specialist spraying chamber. The net assimilation rate and leaf greenness index were then determined. Herbicide application in the sublethal doses, i.e. below 720 g ⋅ ha–1, caused disorders in both analyzed physiological parameters of plants. The glyphosate dose of 144 g ⋅ ha–1 elicited transient disorders in the leaf greenness index. In turn, the use of the lower doses (28.8 g ⋅ ha–1 and 14.4 g ⋅ ha–1) caused a short-term increase in the net photosynthesis rate in the plants which was accompanied by a decreased value of the leaf greenness index. Study results demonstrated the effect of sublethal doses of glyphosate as a stress factor in parameters associated with the process of photosynthesis in plants.

W niniejszym artykule opisano badania nad opracowaniem nowej beziłowej płuczki wiertniczej przeznaczonej do przewiercania skał ilastych. Opracowana płuczka jest płuczką poliamfolityczno-skrobiową z dodatkiem polimeru PT-61. Przeprowadzono badania parametrów technologicznych płuczki, test dezintegracji oraz jej odporności na zasolenie i temperaturę. Wyniki badań pokazują, że płuczka może być zastosowana w przemyśle.
In this paper research of new non-bentonite drilling mud for drilling in clays and shales were presented. Polyampholytic-starch mud with PT-61 polymer was composed. Research of technological parameters, disintegration test and it resistivity for divalent ions contamination and temperature influence were conducted. Test results show that composed mud can be use in industry.

Opis:
Drilling a wellbore in formations containing water-sensitive shales can cause many serious technical problems. Especially mud which enable safe drilling in shales and clays formations must be characterized not only by features of standard modern mud, but also has to reduce water adsorption and thus hydration of clays and shales. This paper was prepared so as to present the results of laboratory investigation in which a glycol and ion - polymer fluid based on potassium salt was made. Obtained mud is characterized by high-temperature resistance, good rheological properties, low water loss and resistance to salt ions.
Wiercenie w formacjach zawierających iły i łupki może powodować wiele technicznych problemów, dlatego płuczka przeznaczona do wiercenia w takich skałach musi spełniać nie tylko podstawowe funkcje płuczki wiertniczej, ale także dodatkowo redukować adsorpcję wody, a tym samym hydratację łupków. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań laboratoryjnych, podczas których opracowana została płuczka glikolowo-potasowa zawierająca również polimery. Płuczka ta charakteryzuje się odpornością na wysoką temperaturę, niską filtracją, odpornością na jony oraz dobrymi właściwościami reologicznymi.

Subject of the work include selected numerical models of the test stand intended for testing a prototype double multi-leaf spring of bi-linear nature. Basic design assumptions of the stand were as follows: provide laboratory tests of multi-leaf (single and double) springs designed for dependent suspensions of passenger cars of permissible weight up to 3,5 tones. The stand should allow for testing basic spring and strength characteristics in the quasi-static conditions and dynamic conditions with the impact of the force impulse or a set variable load characterized by a particular force amplitude (displacement) and frequency of its variations. Considered stand models include the tested spring, base, support and the hanger. This paper presents two types of FEM models of the spring element (beam and 3D). In the first element, components of the spring-hanger system were mapped by means of beam elements, in the second one by means of definite solid elements. The spring was loaded with a vertical force from 0 to 10000 N. A non-linear analysis of the bi-linear spring was carried out including clearance as well as the elastic analysis of the stand. The results of the numerical tests are presented in a form of tabular specifications, diagrams of displacements, and reduced stresses of selected components of the stand.

The article describes issue of clay hydration phenomenon during Horizontal Directional Drilling. Reducing hydration, hence swelling, is a great concern in light of borehole wall stability maintenance. Muds commonly used for drilling by abovementioned technique are often blend of unknown ingredients. Thus, it should be carefully tested for addition of hydration inhibitors at the early stage of mud formula preparation. The paper includes research formula and results of technological parameters of modified HDD mud. Moreover, there were conducted tests of QSE Pellets swelling and linear swelling of test samples collected from boreholes drilled by HDD technique.

Herbicydy są obecnie powszechnie stosowane w produkcji roślinnej. Stwarza to ryzyko obecności pozostałości substancji aktywnych między innymi w glebie i płodach rolnych. Substancje aktywne zalegające w glebie mogą powodować uszkodzenia wrażliwych roślin następczych lub zostać wymyte do wód gruntowych. Pozostałości obecne w plonie mogą wywierać niekorzystny efekt na zdrowie konsumentów. Pomimo, że w Polsce notowane są przypadki wykrywania pozostałości herbicydów w płodach rolnych to w zdecydowanej większości przypadków nie przekraczają one dopuszczalnych wartości. Niemniej jednak niezbędny jest stały i regularny monitoring prowadzony zgodnie ze standardami unijnymi.
Currently, herbicides are widely used in plant production. This leads to the risk of the occurrence of the active ingredients in the residues in the soil and in agricultural products. The presence of the active ingredients in the soil can cause damage to sensitive successive crops or may leach into groundwater. Residues in crops may have a detrimental effect on the health of consumers. Although in Poland there are cases of tracing the residuals of herbicides in agricultural products, in the great majority of cases, they do not exceed the acceptable values. However, constant monitoring of herbicide residuals is necessary, should be performed regularly and should meet EU standards.

The paper presents results of a study conducted in Ińsko Landscape Park in the years 2002 and 2003. The study has confirmed the occurrence of 11 amphibian species, which coincides with results obtained previously by other researchers. The presence of two amphibian species from the “Red List of Threatened Species in Poland”, namely Triturus cristatus and Bombina bombina has been confirmed. Another important result of the study is the confirmation of the occurrence of Bufo calamita in the studied area. Finally, the paper presents the dynamics of occurrence of selected species.
W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań płazów krajobrazu rolniczego na wybranym terenie Ińskiego Parku Krajobrazowego w latach 2002 i 2003. Stwierdzono występowanie na tym terenie 11 gatunków płazów, w tym 2 gatunki – Triturus cristatus i Bombina bombina – figurujące na „Czerwonej liście gatunków zagrożonych w Polsce”. Dla wybranych gatunków przedstawiono dynamikę liczebności w okresie godowym.

Ten species of digeneans were found in a survey of six species of terrestrial birds associated with woodland and urban habitats of north-western Poland carried out in 2006–2009: Leucochloridium paradoxum Carus, 1835 (Leucochloridiidae) from the Cyanistes caeruleus (L.) and the Parus major L. (Paridae); Leuchochloridium perturbatum Pojmańska, 1968 (Leucochloridiidae) from the Turdus merula L., (Turdidae) and the Corvus monedula L. (Corvidae); Leucochloridium sp. (Leucochloridiidae Poche, 1907) from the Asio otus (L.) (Strigidae) and P. major; Strigea strigis (Schrank, 1788) (Strigeidae) from the A. otus; Morishitium elongatum (Harrach, 1921) (Cyclocoelidae) and Psilotornus confertus Machalska, 1974 (Psilostomidae) and Leyogonimus postgonoporos (Neiland, 1951) and Lutztrema attenuatum (Dujardin, 1845) (Dicrocoeliidae) from the T. merula; Plagiorchis maculosus (Rudolphi, 1802) (Plagiorchiidae) from the C. caeruleus; Prosthogonimus ovatus (Rudolphi, 1803) (Prosthogonimidae) from the Dendrocopos major (Linnaeus) (Picidae); Zonorchis petiolatus (Railliet, 1900) (Dicrocoeliidae) from the T. merula and the C. monedula. Five species and one genus of digeneans: L. paradoxum from the C. caeruleus and the P. major; Leucochloridium sp. from the A. otus and P. major; P. confertus from the T. merula; P. maculosus from the C. caeruleus; P. ovatus from the D. major and Z. petiolatus from the C. monedula represent new Polish host records. S. striges and L. postgonoporus represent new Polish locations.
