Opis:
It is critical for water quality in flotation as it dramatically influences the chemical/electrochemical properties of mineral surfaces and their interactions with reagents. Many potential variations could alter the water chemistry: water recirculation, mineral dissolutions, reagent additions, etc. This study aimed to identify the key elements from the recycled water sources affecting the separation efficiency in a typical industrial flotation circuit of iron oxides through a series of bench/micro flotation tests, zeta potential measurement, etc. The built-up and distribution of the dominant cations/anions in the process water from the roughers in the flotation system was also analyzed and recorded by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission (ICP-OES) for a period of about three months when the operations were stable. The flotation results pointed out that a concentrate with a sharp increase of 6.0% Fe recovery and 2.5% SiO2 content was obtained by using the recycled tailing water only in comparison by using fresh water. In contrast, a slight uptrend in the grade of Fe but a substantial loss of near 6.5% Fe recovery occurs by using the treated sewage water alone instead. This could attribute to the ion distributions in these water sources, in which Ca2+, Fen+, Mg2+ or SO42ions were determined as the key ions influencing the flotation behaviors of the iron ore. But the competitive effects of Fe3+ ions were more significant than the ones of Ca2+ or Mg2+ ions. And the occurrence of starch could deteriorate the dilution of silicates in concentration induced by Fe3+/Fe2+ ions. It can be explained by zeta potential measurement or solution chemistry of those ions, indicating that at 8.5-9.0, the coating of the precipitates of Fe(OH)3(s) induced by iron ions alters a reverse on the zeta potentials of quartz. The presence of SO42-ions, however, has a positive role in reducing the possibility of slime coating on silicates due to acting as a chelating agent of iron ions.

This paper presents a new set of bivariate discrete orthogonal moments which are based on bivariate Hahn polynomials with non-separable basis. The polynomials are scaled to ensure numerical stability. Their computational aspects are discussed in detail. The principle of parameter selection is established by analyzing several plots of polynomials with different kinds of parameters. Appropriate parameters of binary images and a grayscale image are obtained through experimental results. The performance of the proposed moments in describing images is investigated through several image reconstruction experiments, including noisy and noise-free conditions. Comparisons with existing discrete orthogonal moments are also presented. The experimental results show that the proposed moments outperform slightly separable Hahn moments for higher orders.

Gutman and Wagner proposed the concept of the matching energy which is defined as the sum of the absolute values of the zeros of the matching polynomial of a graph. And they pointed out that the chemical applications of matching energy go back to the 1970s. Let $T$ be a tree with n vertices. In this paper, we characterize the trees whose complements have the maximal, second-maximal and minimal matching energy. Furthermore, we determine the trees with edge-independence number p whose complements have the minimum matching energy for $ p = 1, 2, . . ., \floor{ n/2 } $. When we restrict our consideration to all trees with a perfect matching, we determine the trees whose complements have the second-maximal matching energy.

In this study, the compressive deformation of crushed sandstone was tested using a crushed rock deformation-seepage test system, and the effects of various factors, including crushed rock grade, grade combination, water saturation status, and stress loading method (i.e., continuous loading or cyclic loading and unloading), on the compressive deformation of crushed sandstone was analyzed from four perspectives including stress-strain, bulking coefficient, deformation mechanism and energy dissipation. The results indicate that the stress-strain relations of crushed sandstone are closely associated with all factors considered, and are well represented by exponential functions. The strain observed for a given applied stress increased with increasing crushed rock grade throughout the loading period. Crushed sandstone grades were combined according to a grading index (n), where the proportion of large-grade rocks in the sample increased with increasing n. The bearing capacity of a water-saturated crushed sandstone sample with n = 0.2 was less than that of an equivalent dry sample for a given applied stress. The stress-strain curve of a water-saturated crushed sandstone sample with n = 0.2 under cyclic loading and unloading was similar to that obtained under continuous loading. Observation and discovery, the deformation mechanism of crushed sandstone was mainly divided into four stages, including crushing, rupture, corner detachment and corner wear. And 20% of the work done by testing machine is used for friction between the crushed sandstone with the inner wall of the test chamber, and 80% is used for the closing of the void between the crushed sandstone, friction sliding, crushing damage.

Application of sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers to unravel variations and relationships with biological and morphological traits has been reported in a variety of plant species, and their potential for breeding has also been highlighted. (1) Assess the diversity level of a Cunninghamia lanceolata (Chinese fir) genetic panel based on phenotypic traits and SRAP markers, (2) identify SRAP loci linked to juvenile wood basic density (JWBD) and growth traits, and (3) address the overlap of the trait-associated SRAP markers during the juvenile and mature stages of this species. A total of 227 Chinese fir genotypes were subjected to phenotype, SRAP genotyping, and marker-trait association analyses. A total of 564 unambiguous SRAP bands and 558 polymorphic loci were identified from the genotypes. The overall percentage of polymorphic bands, polymorphism information content, Nei’s gene diversity, and Shannon’s Information Index were 98.9%, 0.2576, 0.3196 and 0.4838, respectively. An analysis of molecular variance further demonstrated that the genotypes varied significantly at SRAP polymorphisms (p < 0.01). A wide genetic distance span from 0.0531 to 0.9097 was also observed; most (94.9%) fell within the range of 0.3000–0.6999. An association analysis based on general linear model (GLM) and mixed linear model (MLM) unraveled 21, 26, 25, and 19 marker-trait associations for JWBD, height (H), diameter at breast height (DBH, 1.3 m) and stem volume (V), respectively. These marker-trait associations corresponded to 64 different SRAP markers; 46 of these were linked to only one trait, while the other 18 markers appeared to be associated with more than one trait but limited to growth traits. Overall, the SRAP markers represented R2 (percentage of the phenotypic variation explained by marker) values of 1.7–9.2% for the GLM and 1.7–5.6% for the MLM. Strikingly, the significant trait-associated marker list seemed to be rather different from that of the previous study performed on mature traits (WBD, H, DBH and V), except for overlap of two markers. This study demonstrated an association of SRAP markers with JWBD and growth traits in Chinese fir. The results further our understanding of the genetic basis of the Chinese fir WBD and growth traits at the juvenile stage.

High-repetition-frequency Q-switched laser is realized through adopting a Nd:LaMgAl11O19 (Nd:LMA) disordered crystal as the gain material, a laser diode lasing at 796 nm as the pumped source, and a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) as the Q-switched device. The out-put characteristics are analyzed under using different transmittance T plane mirrors as an output coupler. Without adopting SESAM, the laser is operating at a CW state, and a relatively high transmittance is helpful for achieving high output power, slope efficiency and light-to-light efficiency. ForT = 7.5% and an absorbed power of 6.17 W, the output power arrives at its maximum of 1160 mW,and the corresponding slope efficiency and light-to-light efficiency are 20.71% and 18.78%, respectively. After introducing SESAM into the cavity, the laser operates at a passively Q-switched state, and the largest slope efficiency is 13.14% under T = 5.0%. Adopting five different output couplers, with the increase of the absorbed power, the pulse repetition frequencies, the pulse energies and the peak powers will ascend while the pulse widths will decline. The observed narrowest pulse width, the maximum pulse repetition frequency, the highest pulse energy and peak power are 1.745 μs, 175.88 kHz, 3.21 μJ and 1.84 W, respectively.

Opis:
Based on the test and observation of the desert hinterland wind field, combined with the numerical simulation of Fluent wind-sand two-phase flow, the sand resistance performances of comprehensive protection in the desert hinterland under strong wind environment are researched. The transient wind speed and wind direction around the comprehensive protection facility are measured by two 3D ultrasonic anemometers on the highway in the desert hinterland, and the initial wind speed of the sand flow is provided for the numerical simulation boundary. The sedimentary sand particles around the comprehensive protection facility are collected for particle size analysis, and the particle size distributions of sedimentary sand particles at different locations are obtained. Numerical models of high vertical sand barriers, grass checkered sand barriers and roadbeds are established by Fluent, the wind-sand flow structures around the comprehensive protection facilities and desert hinterland highway under the strong wind environment are obtained, and the influence laws of the comprehensive protection facilities on the movement of wind-sand flow and sand deposition characteristics are obtained. The study found that the comprehensive protection facilities disturbed the wind and sand flow, and there are significant airflow partitions around the comprehensive protection facilities. The wind speed decreases rapidly after the wind-sand flows through the high vertical sand barrier; the wind-sand flow rises at the end of the high vertical sand barrier. When the wind-sand flow moves around the grass checkered sand barrier, the wind speed has dropped to the range of 0-3 m/s, and the wind speed near the ground by the grass checkered sand barrier is further reduced. Due to the existence of the concave surface of the grass grid, there are small vortices inside the grass grid sand barrier. Large sand particles are mainly deposited on the windward side and inside of high vertical sand barriers. The grass checkered sand barrier forms a stable concave surface to generate backflow, which can ensure that the sand surface does not sand itself in a strong wind environment, and can also make a small amount of sand carried in the airflow accumulate around the groove of the grass checkered sand barrier. The numerical simulation results are consistent with the measured results, and the comprehensive protection measures have achieved good sand control effects.

Self-assembled face-centered cubic FePt nanoparticles were embedded into the oxide capping layer using the atomic layer deposition technology. The effect of the oxide-matrix layer on the structure, mono-dispersibility, and magnetic properties of the FePt/oxide composite thin films was investigated. Experimental results suggest that the protection of the oxide-matrix capping layer can effectively inhibit the grain growth and particle aggregation, and preserve the ordered domains of the FePt nanoparticles during the L 1_0 ordering transition through annealing. The combination of the atomic layer deposition capping layer and self-assembled FePt nanoparticles provides a new potential approach to fabricate the ultrahigh-density magnetic recording media.

A multi-ship collision avoidance decision-making and path planning formulation is studied in a distributed way. This paper proposes a complete set of solutions for multi-ship collision avoidance in intelligent navigation, by using a top-to-bottom organization to structure the system. The system is designed with two layers: the collision avoidance decision-making and the path planning. Under the general requirements of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs), the performance of distributed path planning decision-making for anti-collision is analyzed for both give-way and stand-on ships situations, including the emergency actions taken by the stand-on ship in case of the give-way ship’s fault of collision avoidance measures. The Artificial Potential Field method(APF) is used for the path planning in details. The developed APF method combined with the model of ship domain takes the target ships’ speed and course in-to account, so that it can judge the moving characteristics of obstacles more accurately. Simulation results indicate that the system proposed can work effectiveness.

Maritime accidents have received considerable attentions due to the enormous property damage, casualties and serious environmental pollution. This paper first makes statistical analysis of the different types of maritime accidents in the period of 2012 to 2014 in the Yangtze River. Second, the problems of emergency management of maritime accidents are also proposed from the analysis of the major accident “Eastern Star”.. Afterwards, four practice cases, including decision support for maritime accidents, emergency resource allocation, emergency simulation system and effectiveness of emergency management, are introduced to present the insights gained from these practices. Last, in order to address these problems, this paper proposes that an artificial societies, Computational experiments, and Parallel execution (ACP) approach should be introduced to establish an improved management system for maritime accidents in the future, and an ACP based maritime accident emergency management framework is proposed.

The construction of health indicators (HI) for traditional deep learning requires human training labels and poor interpretability. This paper proposes an HI construction method based on Stacked Sparse Autoencoder (SSAE) and combines SSAE with Long short-term memory (LSTM) network to predict the remaining useful life (RUL). Extracting features from a single domain may result in insufficient feature extraction and cannot comprehensively reflect the degradation status information of mechanical equipment. In order to solve the problem, this article extracts features from time domain, frequency domain, and time-frequency domain to construct a comprehensive original feature set. Based on monotonicity, trendiness, and robustness, the most sensitive features from the original feature set are selected and put into the SSAE network to construct HI for state partitioning, and then LSTM is used for RUL prediction. By comparing with the existing methods, it is proved that the prediction effect of the proposed method in this paper is satisfied.

The environmental risk classification of the metal relics is usually determined by the corrosion rate of the metal but it is difficult to monitor the deterioration of the metal relics directly. A strong relationship exists between indoor exposure, the air quality classification of atmospheric corrosion, and the actual deterioration of metal relics. The copper-silver hanging plate method requires a long period of environmental exposure and has certain hysteresis, thus reflecting the current environmental quality of the museum in real time poses some difficulties. However, the application of the environmental reactivity monitor (ERMs) based on the piezoelectric effect can solve the above problems. The invented quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) reactivity monitoring device is applied to study the influence of temperature and humidity on the corrosion of the bronze-simulated materials and the relationship between the corrosion depth rate of the bronze-simulated materials and the frequency change of the crystal oscillator. Then, the recommended classification range of temperature and humidity and the airquality classification standards for the preservation environment of the bronze cultural relics in museums are proposed.

Opis:
The present study employed density functional theory (DFT) to analyze the adsorption configuration and mechanism of Fe(OH)2+ on the kaolinite (001) surface. The findings demonstrated that Fe(OH)2(H2O)4+ is the main type in which hydrated Fe(OH)2+ can be found in aqueous solution. On the surface of kaolinite, Fe(OH)2(H2O)4+ will be adsorbed. There are two forms of adsorption: outer-sphere and inner-sphere coordination (monodentate/bidentate) adsorption. Fe(OH)2(H2O)4+ has a moderate propensity to adsorb on the alumina octahedral sheet of kaolinite when the outer-sphere coordination adsorption takes place. In cases of inner-sphere coordination adsorption, Fe exhibits a tendency to form monodentate adsorption compounds in conjunction with Ou atoms. Additionally, it prefers to create bidentate adsorption compounds through coordination with both Ot and Ou atoms. The adsorption mechanism analysis results show that the ionic property of Fe atom decreases after outer-sphere coordination adsorption. After inner-sphere coordination adsorption, some electrons of Fe atom are transferred to the surface O atom. The presence of electrons between the Fe and O atoms enhances the formation of bonds, hence enhancing the covalent nature of the Fe-O bond. Theoretical FT-IR (Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy) calculations show that the formation of Fe-O chemical bonds. Because of the lower adsorption energy and more chemical bonds, hydrate Fe(OH)2+ is more likely to be bidentate adsorbed on the kaolinite surface.
