    W artykule autorzy omawiają nowe realia wynikające z procesu integrowania architektury i mechatroniki, w tym przede wszystkim automatyki i robotyki. Stają się one narzędziami twórczymi w procesach projektowania, modelowania i budowania architektury społeczeństwa wiedzy. Omawiane w artykule przykłady rozwiązań architektonicznych świadczą o tym, że automatyzacja i robotyzacja fabrykacji i montażu struktur i elementów budowlanych są przedsięwzięciami i ważnymi, i oczekiwanymi. Zmechatronizowana, kinetyczna architektura staje się także doskonałym sposobem uwzględnienia zmieniających się warunków środowiska oraz wymagań użytkowników (ang. Form of Interface). Te zmieniające się warunki i wymagania stawiane produktom współczesnej architektury są bezpośrednimi analogiami zmieniających się wymagań i ich realizacji także w odniesieniu do produktów i produkcji przemysłowej, objętych zaakceptowanym już pojęciem (r)ewolucji przemysłowej 4.0.
    In the thesis authors are discussing the new reality resulting from the process of integrating architecture and mechatronics, in it above all automations and robotizations. They are becoming creative tools in processes of the design, modeling and building architecture for the society of the knowledge. The examples of architectural solutions discussed in this article demonstrate that the automation and the robotization of the both fabrication and assembly of structures and building elements are important and expected undertakings. Mechatronizated, kinetic architecture is becoming also an excellent way of considering changing conditions of the environment and user requirements becomes the new form of interface. These changing conditions and requirements for products of modern architecture are direct analogies of changing requirements and their realization also in relation to products and the industrial production, included within a generally accepted term of industrial (r)evolution 4.0.

    W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję systemu do badania wymienników stosowanych do odzysku ciepła w układach wentylacji i klimatyzacji budynków. Składa się on z dwóch klimatyzowanych komór odtwarzających parametry atmosfery znajdującej się na zewnątrz budynku i wewnątrz oraz odpowiednich układów sterujących i pomiarowych. Służy do wyznaczania sprawności temperaturowej i wilgotnościowej rekuperatorów w różnych warunkach pracy oraz charakterystyk przepływowych i szczelności.
    The article presents the concept of the system for testing the recuperators used for recuperation of heat in the ventilation and air-conditioning systems of buildings. It consists of two air-conditioned chambers that recreate the parameters of the atmosphere in and out of the building and of relevant systems for control and measurement. It is used for estimation of the temperature and humidity efficiency of the recuperators in different work conditions and for calculation of the flow and tightness characteristics.

    It is possible to enhance acoustic isolation of the device from the environment by appropriately controlling vibration of a device casing. Sound insulation efficiency of this technique for a rigid casing was confirmed by the authors in previous publications. In this paper, a light-weight casing is investigated, where vibrational couplings between walls are much greater due to lack of a rigid frame. A laboratory setup is described in details. The influence of the cross-paths on successful global noise reduction is considered. Multiple vibration actuators are installed on each of the casing walls. An adaptive control strategy based on the Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm is used to update control filter parameters. Obtained results are reported, discussed, and conclusions for future research are drawn.

    For successful active control with a vibrating plate it is essential to appropriately place actuators. One of the most important criteria is to make the system controllable, so any control objectives can be achieved. In this paper the controllability-oriented placement of actuators is undertaken. First, a theoretical model of a fully clamped rectangular plate is obtained. Optimization criterion based on maximization of controllability of the system is developed. The memetic algorithm is used to find the optimal solution. Obtained results are compared with those obtained by the evolutionary algorithm. The configuration is also validated experimentally.

    Nitrogen, as one of the most important elements in the life of a plant, has a significant impact on the growth and bearing of apple trees. The natural amount of nitrogen in soil is essential in the process of fertilization with this component. The experiment was established in 2000 at an experimental orchard of the Department of Pomology, Warsaw University of Life Science in Wilanów, on apple trees of the cultivar Jonagored. The aim of the study was to evaluate the needs for apple orchard fertilization with nitrogen that would minimize the use of nitrogen fertilizers while maintaining an optimal content of available nutrients in the soil, leaves and fruits of apple trees. There were four different treatments with nitrogen: N-0 (no nitrogen); N-50 (50 kg N ha-1 over the whole growing area in early spring); N-100 (100 kg N ha-1 over the whole growing area in early spring); and N-100sward (100 kg N ha-1 in early spring only in sward alleyways). The studies were conducted in 2010 and 2013 (content of selected minerals in the soil) and from 2010 to 2012 (nutrient content in leaves and fruits). Application of nitrogen did not affect soil pH, content of available potassium, phosphorus and magnesium or the ratio K/Mg in the soil. In the analyzed period, there were no differences in the content of N, K, Mg, P and Ca in the fruits. Nitrogen fertilization caused an increase in the content of N in leaves when compared to the unfertilized combination. The opposite situation was observed in the case of phosphorus in leaves.

Wybrane przykłady świadczą, że fabrykacja i montaż elementów architektury z wykorzystaniem robotów jest zjawiskiem potencjalnie istotnym w przekształceniach miasta i jego architektury.
    The new phenomena resulting from the integration of architecture and mechatronics are discussed. In the society of knowledge, design, modeling, fabricating and assembling of architecture with robotics can be seen as part of creative design process. The use of robotics and automation affects the practice and world of architecture. Fabrication and assembly of structures and elements of building using robots is an important phenomenon, as illustrated by the cited examples. Kinetic architecture becomes a form of interface that responds to changing conditions context and to dynamic user requirements.

    For successful active control of a vibrating structure it is essential to appropriately place sensors. One of the most important criteria is to make the system observable, so any control objectives can be achieved. In this paper the observability-oriented placement of sensors is undertaken.     W celu skutecznej aktywnej redukcji drgań i hałasu konstrukcji konieczne jest odpowiednie rozmieszczenie czujników. Jednym z najważniejszych kryteriów jest uczynienie obiektu obserwowalnym, aby jakiekolwiek cele sterowania mogły zostać osiągnięte.W pracy podjęte zostało zagadnienie rozmieszczenia czujników w oparciu o analizę obserwowalności. Zaprezentowany został model teoretyczny płyty o brzegach całkowicie utwierdzonych. Wyprowadzone zostało kryterium optymalizacji w oparciu o maksymalizacje miary obserwowalności. Do znalezienia rozwiązania optymalnego zastosowano algorytm memetyczny. Otrzymane wyniki zostały porównane z wynikami uzyskanymi za pomocą algorytmu genetycznego. Wyznaczone rozmieszczenie czujników zostało zweryfikowane eksperymentalnie.
