Opis:
The main source of fly ash is the energy sector. Consequently, there is a need to utilise this massive waste material. One of the proposed utilisation methods is the use of its sorption properties. The tests have been performed on coal ash token from the electrofilters of the Kielce, Lublin and Rzeszów heat and power plants. The impact of the chemical and physical activation of ash on its sorption properties has been determined. The chemical modification has been focused on the application of NaOH into fly ash under certain temperature and pressure conditions, while the physical modification has been based on periodic freezing and defreezing of moistened samples. The aim ofthe physical modification has been to simulate the impact of decay processes in ash dumping conditions on surface properties of ash with the focus on the application of ash as sorbents. The level of absorption has been tested on a model stand with a spectrofbtometric method with the use of methylene blue.

Opis:
Paper deals with the knowledge acquisition process. Different experts formulate the rules for decision support systems. We assume they have different knowledge about the problem and therefore obtained rules have different qualities. We will formulate the proposition of the confidence measure and its application to the decision process. We will propose how calculate the value of measure under consideration for typical statistical learning process. On the base on the proposed measure of the knowledge quality we propose the procedure of the contradictions elimination for the set of logical rules.

Opis:
Problem of pattern recognition is accompanying our whole life, therefore methods of automatic pattern recognition is one of the main trend in Artificial Intelligence. Multiple classifier systems (MCSs) are currently the focus of intense research. In this conceptual approach, the main effort is concentrated on combining knowledge of the set of individual classifiers. Proposed work presents a brief survey of the main issues connected with MCSs and provides comparative analysis of some classifier fusion methods.

The subject of the study is an indication of the characteristics of international agreements in the field of environmental protection. The analysis of environmental international agreements allows for the formulation of several characteristics, generally assuming that these contracts are not different from other international agreements in the national legal order and are subject to the same legal regime at international level. Characteristics include: institutionalization of treaties, specific design, susceptibility to change due to scientific progress, sectorality and subject and formal diversity. The author is aware that studying the basics of environmental protection can lead to the separation of the following characteristics.

This article presents some perspective and leading directions for development of agricultural production and processing industry for the Podkarpackie voivodeship. These directions were identified within the proces of social and expert opinion consultations including the research study on the present state of agriculture in the Podkarpackie voivodeship. In the result of the conducted discussions there were selected five leading directions for development of agriculture and processing industry i.e. agricultural farms with ecological production orientation, technologies for biomass production and processing, farming of plants based on mycorrhiza, development of processing plants for ecological food, plant and animals farming oriented for regional products.

The world is entering onto new path of development which is stimulated by globalization. It is viewed as irreversible process in the present time and has significant impact on economic, social and cultural changes. This is also linked to changes in rural environment which should not only stress the global development but in parallel retain its identity and locality and the rural society should in larger extend consider globalization as opportunity than threat for polish countryside.

Let G be a simple graph of order n and size e(G). It is well known that if e(G) ≤ n-2, then there is an edge-disjoint placement of two copies of G into Kₙ. We prove that with the same condition on size of G we have actually (with few exceptions) a careful packing of G, that is an edge-disjoint placement of two copies of G into Kₙ∖Cₙ.

W artykule omówiono kształtowanie się mapy turystycznej Karkonoszy od momentu pojawienia się pierwszych górskich wędrówek do końca II wojny światowej. Najwięcej uwagi poświęcono prywatnej kartografii niemieckiej w XIX i pierwszej połowie XX w., gdy Karkonosze wraz z ziemią jeleniogórską stanowiły ważny i liczący się w Europie region turystyczny.
Karkonosze have played an important role in Central European tourism since the time when travels began to be perceived as a form of insight and leisure. Fast development of tourism in Karkonosze took place in the 19th century when the mountains became one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. As a result there appeared a large number of guides and tourist maps. An evident mountain range depicting Sudetes and its peak Śnieżka appeared on the map of Silesia in 1:550 000 by Martin Helwig, dated 1561. On the break of the 19th century the first detailed topographic survey of Sudetes was conducted, giving a solid base for later tourist maps. J. Hoser's map in 1:100 000 from 1806 is considered to be the first tourist map of Karkonosze, the highest range of Sudetes. Fast development of tourism in Karkonosze and the resulting demand for tourist maps brought cartographic production in Silesia to significant volume. Maps were prepared by numerous private publishers-printers, which used the names of geographic or cartographic institutes or publishers. The estimated number of such enterprises in Germany and Austria combined is 40, while in Silesia alone there were 20 of them. Among the largest Silesian publishers at the time there were: K. Flemming in Głogów (founded in 1833), G. Brieger in Świdnica (1880) and P. Baron in Legnica (1897). In other parts of Germany there were many more: C.C. Meinhold and A. Kohler in Dresden, R. Mittelbach in Leipzig, J. Straube, A. Goldschmidt, M. Pasch, A. Kiessling and Grieben in Berlin. Most of them published also maps of Karkonosze and the region. Many maps were published as appendices to tourist guides. All of them are a valuable source of information about the development of tourism in the area.

Obszary wiejskie zajmują ponad 93% terytorium Polski, na którym mieszka blisko 40% ludności kraju. Wzrost zapotrzebowania na energię na tych obszarach, w połączeniu ze zwiększonym jej zużyciem przez rolnictwo, wymusza na mieszkańcach wsi efektywniejsze jej wykorzystanie, a na politykach opracowanie strategii bezpieczeństwa energetycznego polskiej wsi. Wieś w dużym stopniu związana jest z produkcją oraz przetwórstwem żywności, w którym to istotne znaczenie przypisuje się gospodarstwom rolnym. Obecnie powinny być one postrzegane z jednejstrony jako użytkownik energii, a z drugiej jako producent komponentów do produkcji energii lub energii finalnej, na podstawie odnawialnych źródeł energii. Dlatego ważną rolę w aspekcie zrównoważonej gospodarki energetycznej na obszarach wiejskich przypisuje się polityce energetycznej, uwzględniają- cej dbałość o środowisko naturalne tych obszarów oraz zachowanie ich bioróżnorodności. Mieszkańcy wsi, a przede wszystkim rolnicy, powinni zmienić swój wizerunek, związany głównie z użytkownikiem energii na konsumenta i jednocześnie producenta energii, a energetyka prosumencka i rozproszona powinna stać się istotna nie tylko ze względów ekonomicznych, ale także środowiskowych. Konieczne jest podkreślenie znaczenia zrównoważonego rozwoju obszarów wiejskich, opartego na odnawialnych źródłach energii i związanej z tym poprawie warunków środowiskowych polskiej wsi, a także jakości życia jej mieszkańców. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie kierunków rozwoju zrównoważonego gospodarki energetycznej na obszarach wiejskich Polski, uwzględniając energię wykorzystywaną we współczesnym rolnictwie, z akcentem położonym na odnawialne źródła energii.
Rural areas cover more than 93% of Poland, with almost 40% of the country’s population. The increase in energy demand in these areas, coupled with increased consumption by agriculture, forces rural people to use it more efficiently and politicians to develop energy security strategies for Polish rural areas. This is possible by creating a sustainable energy policy using renewable energy sources. Rural areas are largely interpreted with food production and processing, where agricultural holdings are important. They should now be seen on the one hand as an energy user and on the other as a producer of energy or final energy components based on renewable energy sources, bearing in mind, however, that natural or legally protected areas should not be used for the production of energy from renewable sources. Therefore, an important role in the field of sustainable energy management in rural areas is attributed to the energy policy, which takes care of the environment of these areas and preserves their biodiversity. Residents of the village, and above all, farmers should change their image, mainly related to the consumer of energy to the consumer and at the same time the producer of energy, and prosumer and distributed energy should become important not only for economic but also for environmental reasons. It is necessary to point out the importance of sustainable rural development, based on renewable energy sources and the related improvement of the environmental conditions of the Polish countryside, as well as the quality of life of their inhabitants. The aim of the article is to indicate the direction of development of sustainable energy management in rural areas of Poland, taking the energy used in modern agriculture into account, with an emphasis on renewable energy sources.

Opis:
New total stations equipped with ATR (Automatic Target Recognition) system help in automatic move of the telescope of the instrument during monitoring measurements. The accuracy effects of using ATR system in precise measurements were controlled in laboratory and field conditions for standard prism and cube corner reflector. This paper will present the results of testing and the conclusions from the monitoring measurements carried out on typical objects using instrument Leica TDA 5005.

In the area of measurements monitoring the position of checkpoints in space there are new instrumental solutions being developed: servo-motors, ATR (automatic target recognition), PR (power search), etc. These elements enable to accelerate the measuring process considerably, make the results more objective, help avoid target identification mistakes, introducing the possibility to conduct "continuous" measurements supervised by the operational system of an instrument or a field computer. The article presents the monitoring measurement results obtained by means of measuring systems built in the Institute of Applied Geodesy, under the author's supervision.

New total stations are equipped with two types of distance meters: IR (infra red) and (reflectorless). The option RL helps monitor the shape measurements of controlled surface of dozens of control points. It is possible to measure the distance directly to the object. The accuracy effects of using this system in precise measurements were controlled in laboratory and field conditions for reflective targets at different incidence angles. This paper presents the testing results and investigation conclusions concerning Leica TCRP 1202 and TCR 407 instruments.

The paper presents the results of performed accuracy analysis for the spatial models obtained during the laser scanning process. The scan of the different elements beginning from the regular geometric surfaces to built up architectonical forms made at The Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology were the object of conduction analysis. The most technologically advanced and accrued geodetic instruments like: terrestrial laser scanner Z+F Imager 5006, total station Leica TCRP 1201+ and RMS (Ramote Measuring System) set on the base of theodolite Wild T2002 were used to realize the project. The real precision of the new survey technique could rise doubts and need to be check during the specialized researches. Improvement of measurement technique and data post processing also should be carried out. In spite of a large point number acquire from scanning and additionally intensity value of surveyed objects. The model handling is supported by specialized system software tools. Perfomed analysis deliver data which suggest that technique wchich were used is suitability for presicie determination of engineering object geometry and for deformation determination. The technology accuracy were estimated for the particular case tasks.
