    Artykuł stanowi próbę scharakteryzowania relacji pomiędzy księdzem Bronisławem Kreuzą a pisarzem Stanisławem Vincenzem i jego rodziną – wysnutą na podstawie lektury korespondencji i innych materiałów zawartych w Archiwum Stanisława Vincenza, w Dziale Rękopisów Biblioteki Zakładu Narodowego im. Ossolińskich we Wrocławiu. Uwzględniono również analizę tekstów literackich obu twórców, napisanych z wzajemnymi dedykacjami lub zawierających zakomunikowane inspiracje. W drugiej części artykułu sporządzono obraz tekstologiczno-edytorski korespondencji i opisano najważniejsze tematy listów.
    Стаття є спробою охарактеризувати стосунки між священиком Броніславом Кройзою та письменником Станіславом Вінцензом та його родиною – почерпнута з читання листування та інших матеріалів, що містяться в архіві Станіслава Вінценза, у відділі рукописів бібліотеки Національного інституту Оссолінських у Вроцлаві. Також був включений аналіз літературних текстів обох авторів, написаних із взаємними присвятами або містять передані натхнення. У другій частині статті готується текстологічна і редакційна картина листування і описуються найважливіші теми листів.
    The work is an attempt to characterize the relationship between Stanisław Vincenz and priest Bronisław Kreuza (Tadeusz Rzewuski) based on study of the correspondence and other materials contained on  the collection of the Manuscript Department of the Ossoliński National Institute in Wrocław. Additionaly, an analysis of the literary texts of both authors, written with mutual dedications or with communicated inspirations, was also taken into account. In the second part of the article, a textological and editorial picture of the correspondence was drawn up and the most important topics of the letters were described.

    Opis:
    The subject of the article is an analysis of the realisation of the right to access to administrative records in public administration authorities. This right is the most important manifestation of the right of access to the records, which a party to administrative proceedings is entitled to. The right to access the administrative records is limited by the fact that the party has access to incomplete, unstructured, unnumbered records or unavailable records without issuing a refusal of access to the records, as well as access to the records in places not adapted for that purpose. The right of access is also limited by the following restrictions which do not exist in the Code of Administrative Procedure but are applied by the authorities: the hours of visitors and the queuing system. A party should be able to review his or her personal records during the office’s working hours in a room adapted for that purpose. I propose that the party should be able to access the records in the body’s information and communication system at on-line remote.

    The article contains a selection of ideas about the vision’s position in the Western Europe culture. The author aims to show historical process of building trust to this sensor and compare them with the nowadays condition. Making use of examples from different times demonstrates human approach to the hierarchy of senses. It is important to mention that creating a strict line which can show the moment of change is impossible, because of universality which we can connect with the vision, and also because it is difficult to determine the moment of changing human's ways of understanding and using receivers. The article’s intention is simply to sketch out the issue and reflection on vision’s status now. First section shows the historical reasons of hegemony of vision related to thoughts of philosophers and associated with breakthrough inventions. However, the second part of the text, concentrated on modern times, is based on example of contemporary pair of artists - Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins, whose work, Reversible Destiny, raises a subject of inequalities in perception by senses.

    Opis:
    Muslim religious practices are very often commented in the media by the society of Western Europe. Most of those practices are unacceptable. In present times most Islamic practices are not supported by Europeans and taken as barbarian. For many years governments of EU countries have been trying to stop their progress beyond their borders and fight with them as well. A conservative part of the Muslim society consequently stands on the side of tradition. Some Muslim rituals cannot be adapted in any possible legal way because they are at odds with a liberal character of the policy of relevant countries. Muslims as a big group cannot remain unnoticed. Adaptation of their tradition and culture is justified as well, insofar it has not intruded in the EU countries’ laws. There is still a lot of work to be done to find agreement between the societies of Muslim and autochthonic citizens of Europe.

    Starzenie się społeczeństwa staje się coraz większym problemem nie tylko w Polsce, ale w całej Unii Europejskiej. Coraz więcej programów unijnych skierowanych jest na aktywizację zawodową osób starszych. Programy te mają na celu nie tylko zachęcenie do dłuższej pracy zawodowej, ale także ochronę osób starszych przed samotnością i odizolowaniem od społeczeństwa. W artykule posłużono się testem niezależności chi-kwadrat. Z jego pomocą zbadano uwarunkowania długości aktywności zawodowej osób w wieku powyżej 55 roku życia oraz ich gotowości do dzielenia się wiedzą i doświadczeniem zawodowym z osobami młodymi. Materiał badawczy stanowiły wyniki badania przeprowadzonego wśród słuchaczy Uniwersytetu Trzeciego Wieku w województwie Warmińsko-Mazurskim, w maju 2011 roku.
    Aging of society is becoming bigger problem not only in Poland, but also in other countries of European Union. More and more EU programmes are aimed at activating senior citizens. These programmes take up actions not only to encourage elderly people to work, but also to prevent them from loneliness and social isolation. The paper presents chi-square test using. It represent conditions for the length of professional activity of people aged over 55 years and their readiness to share the knowledge and professional experience with young people are also presented. The research material consisted of the result of survey conducted among the students of the Third Age University in Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship.

    Ostatnimi czasy wzrasta zainteresowanie fitofarmakologią, czyli wykorzystaniem w lecznictwie surowców roślinnych i ich przetworów. Nurt ten, związany z chęcią życia w zgodzie z naturą oraz wykluczeniem produktów wysoko przetworzonych prowadzi do poszukiwań roślin bogatych w substancje, które w sposób naturalny stanowią remedium na różnego rodzaju schorzenia. Artykuł ten kreśli obraz kilku pospolitych roślin polskich łąk, bezdroży i przydomowych ogródków, które odnalazły powszechne zastosowanie w fitoterapii chorób żołądka. Ponadto przybliżony zostaje nie tylko skutek, lecz również mechanizm działania zawartych w ziołach związków chemicznych na ludzkie ciało.
    In recent years, there has been growing interest in phytopharmacology, that is the use of plants materials and their processed products in therapy. This trend, associated with the desire to live in harmony with nature and to exclude from medicaments highly processed products, leads to the search for plants rich in substances that represent a natural remedy for various diseases. This article points to several common plants occurring in Polish grasslands, wilderness and backyards, which have found widespread use in the phytotherapy of stomach diseases. In addition, it describes the effects and mechanism of action of chemical compounds contained in herbs on the human body.

    Artykuł jest próbą analizy złożoności procesu uczenia się zachowań agresywnych w rodzinie. Kluczowym czynnikiem ryzyka analizowanym w opracowaniu jest stosowanie przez rodziców kar fizycznych jako metody wychowawczej. Przedstawiono badania na temat konsekwencji psychologicznych i rozwojowych stosowania przemocy wobec dziecka. Wskazano na potencjalne rozwojowe i środowiskowej czynniki chroniące przed międzypokoleniową transmisji przemocy do ról realizowanych w dorosłości.
    The article is an attempt to analyze the complexity of learning aggressive behaviors in the family. The key risk factor analyzed in the study is the use of physical punishment by parents as an educational method. The article presents the psychological and developmental consequences of violence towards children. It points out potential developmental and environmental protective factors against intergenerational transmission of violence to the roles performed in adulthood.

    Population ageing and growing awareness of the need for physical activity is one of the most important topics in Europe nowadays. But it should be noted that there is still no interdisciplinary and integrated approach to urban environment planning concerning physical activity of elderly people which would take into account special needs and possibilities of this particular group. Elderly people represent one of the groups which are threatened with social exclusion for different reasons. This article presents a proposal for a method of constructing a spatial system consisting of natural and anthropogenic elements of urban environment which can be interpreted as Inclusive Urban Green Infrastructure, enabling active and healthy ways of recreation, including the needs of elderly persons. It is based on the existing elements of the environment, but to create a well-functioning system in urban space it is necessary to introduce additional elements, both natural and man-created. The method refers to the spatial definition of areas for active recreation which meet the adopted, specific for elderly people, pro-health and functional requirements. Creation of such a system in cities would contribute to inclusion of this group into social life, thus boosting social coherence and integration across generations, and would also bring beneficial health results. Such infrastructure would also be of considerable importance for sustainable urban growth and improvement of the quality of urban space. The paper is based on source materials from the fields of science investigating health in connection with physiology of the process of ageing, influence of physical activity on this process, impact of negative features of the environment on the health of elderly people as well as urban space planning and development. The proposed methodology of constructing Inclusive Urban Green Infrastructure is presented on the example of Łódź, using data from the Geographic Information System (Topographic Objects Database) and population database for cities.

    Objectives It is commonly known that ergonomics in emergency medical services (EMS) is very important. Emergency medical services workers are exposed to different conditions and they should perform a variety of tasks. Material and Methods The aim of the work has been to analyze the angular position of elbows and forces generated by the upper limbs during cardiopulmonary resuscitation with and without the CPRmeter based on feedback technology. Ten male paramedics and 10 male non-paramedics, in a kneeling position, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an Ambu Megacode manikin placed on the ground. Measurements were taken after 1 min and 4 min following the beginning of the trial. The angular position of the elbows was evaluated with a BTS Smart DX 7000 motion capture system. Kistler platforms 9286BA were used for measuring forces. Results In the paramedic group, one statistically significant difference was observed in the mean difference between maximal and minimal right elbow angle in the 1st min without the device vs. the mean difference in the 4th min without the device. In the paramedic group, a 25% force decrease was observed after 4 min of resuscitation in trials without the CPRmeter in comparison to the 1st min. In trials with the CPRmeter, the force parameters were similar in the 1st and 4th min and more stable. No statistically significant differences were noticed in the control group. Conclusions The CPRmeter has influence on the magnitude of the forces applied by the upper limbs and on the optimization of the rescuer effort during cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The CPRmeter had no influence on the position of the upper part of the kinematic chain. Int J Occup Med Environ Health 2017;30(6):909–916
