The author presents a model and a program of extracurricular (optional) classes, the subject of which is the Holy Bible. Biblical school groups offer includes a characterization of the class participants, an ascertainment of the relation of biblical school groups to school religious instruction and parish catechesis as well as a summary of the expected objectives and the form of classes conducted as a part of such activities. The article ends with a detailed program of the biblical school groups work at primary and junior-high school levels.

The article focuses on the theme of return/conversion in the Book of Hosea. The issue is presented from the perspective of the two parties of the covenant: God and Israel. At the starting point lies Israel’s refusal to return to God, and Yahweh’s threatening, punitive retribution to his people. The ending focuses on the conversion of the people to Yahweh, a development possible only owing to God’s preceding forgiveness, expressed by his turn to his people. These four different dynamics of return are reconstructed on the basis of the twenty-two instances of the verb šûb in the Book of Hosea.

Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie teologicznego znaczenia rûªH w Księdze Ezechiela. Aktywność stwórcza Bożego ducha jest analizowana w opowiadaniu o powołaniu prorockim Ezechiela (Ez 1–3) oraz w wizji doliny wyschniętych kości (37,1-14). Wystąpienie tego samego wyrażenia rûHî („mój duch”) w 36,27; 37,14 i 39,29 potwierdza nie tylko charakter stwórczy Bożego ducha, ale również pozwala uznać go za hipostazę Boga. Wewnętrze odrodzenie dokonane przez ducha Jahwe czyni nie tylko z Ezechiela, ale również z Izraelitów manifestację obecności Boga w świecie.
The article aims to introduce the theological meaning of the rûªḥ in the Book of Ezekiel. The creative activity of God’s spirit is analyzed first in the prophetic call of Ezekiel (Ezek 1–3) and then in the vision of the Valley of Dry Bones (37:1-14). The same expression rûḥî (“my spirit”) in 36:27; 37:14 and 39:29 not only confirms the creative character of God’s spirit, but reveals its status as a hypostasis of God. The inner renewal – possible through God’s spirit – makes vital the manifestation of God on earth, not only to Ezekiel but also to the Israelites.

Przedmiotem analizy jest dokument Papieskiej Komisji Biblijnej „Interpretacja Biblii w Kościele”. Jest on najpierw odczytany w kontekście odnowy biblijnej, jaka miała miejsce w Kościele katolickim w XX wieku, w szczególności w związku z konstytucją Dei Verbum Soboru Watykańskiego II. Nowością dokumenty PKB jest położenie większego akcentu na kwestię aktualizacji i inkulturacji Biblii, jak również zwrócenie uwagi na duszpasterską rolę wspólnot podstawowych podejmujących lekturę Pisma Świętego. Pewną słabością dokumentu „Interpretacja Biblii w Kościele” jest zauważalny w nim brak współpracy biblistów z teologiami pastoralnymi. Ten mankament jest przezwyciężony w adhortacji Verbum Domini, której główny postulat zawiera się w „ubiblijnieniu całego duszpasterstwa”. W konsekwencji adhortacja stwarza nowe możliwości animacji biblijnej duszpasterstwa, rozwijając i pogłębiając postulaty wysunięte wcześniej w dokumencie „Interpretacji Biblii w Kościele”.
The first aim of the article is to place the document The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church within the context of the biblical renewal of the 20th century. Maintaining a continuity with the constitution Dei Verbum, the PBC puts in its document new elements which indicate the place of the Bible in the Church. It concerns mainly the actualization and inculturation of the Holy Scripture. Vital for pastoral work are recommendations on the biblical apostolate, above all those referring to basic communities that read the Bible. The analysis of the fourth chapter of the PBC’s document also yielded some critical comments concerning the presented postulates. The weakness of this document is, without any doubt, the fact that it was written from the biblical scholarly point of view, without the collaboration of pastoral theologians of various specialities. This fundamental deficiency of the document The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church is absent in exhortation Verbum Domini. Postulates presented by Pope Benedict XVI referring to “biblical animation of all pastoral work” show that the Bible is not an addition to pastoral work, but rather its source and essence. Proposals contained in the exhortation Verbum Domini give new opportunities for biblical animation in many areas of the life of Church.

The author seeks to read the message of Is 26:19 through its context. First it is the literary context determined by the proposition of the oracles in Is 24-27. In their light one should seeks the identities of those who will be enlivened by „a dew of light”. Then it is the historical context that should be found in the experiences of the exiles who return from the Babylonian captivity, and who tend tó reconstruct their national community. This context sheds light on the eschatological problems of this prophecy. Through the image of carnal resurrection it shows the just who come back to life.

The Book of Ezekiel proposes a new look at the land of Israel from the perspective of its subjecthood. The theological novelty of this approach lies in the process of the anthropomorphization of the land, which can be seen especially in the oracles addressed to the land. Der Artikel stellt die Frage nach dem Charaker der Heiligkeit, die der Bibel entspricht. Die Antwort ist suchend durch die Analyse den Ausdruck „Heilige Schrift”, dann mit der Untersuchung der Beziehung zwischen der Bibel und der Gottes Offenbarung, und schließlich in der Diskussion über einen sakramentalen Wert von Gottes Wort. Die Anwendung der Grundsätze der narrativen Analyse erlaubt, den dynamischen Charakter der Heiligkeit der Bibel zu erfassen. Das Gottes Wort ist nicht nur „geheiligt” dank der Inspiration vom Heiligen Geist, aber auch „heilig machendes” durch die ständige und dauernde Wirkung des Heilgen Geistes, der das Lesen und die Interpretation der Heiligen Schrift begleitet.

The song of praise in Isa 12 is a confession of faith in Yahweh. Trust arises from the recognition of the activity of God in the history of Israel. In the historical events Israel can still re-experience the might of God, especially in the exodus, through which God makes his name known to the world. The name of Yahweh is inextricably connected with Israel, which is confirmedby the title the 'Holy One of Israel'. The title underlines the vital self-offering of God, who is dwelling among His people in Zion. In this context, the 'springs of salvation' are the metaphor of the salvific action of God, who through his words calls the people to abandon fear and to lean exclusively on the strength of his person. The trust in the word of Yahweh permits Israel to 'draw from the springs of salvation'.

L'aticolo affronta - sulla base dell'espepenza profetica di Geremia - la questione del rapporto tra il profeta e la parola divina. Vengono studiati tre testi: 1,4-12; 15,15-21 e 20,7-13 che riflettono, alemeno nella prospettiva sincronica, tre momenti della comunicazione profetica di Geremia: la sua vocazione, il culmine della sua crisi come profeta e il suo superamento. L'analisi dimostra la forza creatrice della parola divina nei confronti di Geremia. Essa fonda la sua profezia, diventa causa principale del rifiuto della sua persona da parte del suo auditorio, e in fine costituisce unica via di uscita dalla crisi. Tutto il combattimento del profeta con la parola di Dio lo trasforma in un modello di ascolto. Geremia vince nel momento in cui il suo corpo diventa incarnazione del messagio divino per manifestare Dio in mezzo al suo popolo. Il profeta e destinato alla scomparsa - rimane sola la parola divina che si serve della sua vita.

Dopo aver presentato la tensione tra parola e silenzio nella profezia ezecheliana, si passa ai gesti significativi che prima vengono considerati dal punto di vista del genere letterario e poi nel contesto letterario del libro di Ezechiele. In seguito si offre l’interpretazione del passaggio del profeta dalla parola al silenzio e poi dal silenzio alla parola dopo la morte di sua moglie. Nella parte finale si arriva ad alcune considerazioni conclusive. L’efficacia della predicazione profetica dipende non dalla reazione del pubblico, ma dalla sottomissione del profeta al dono e al dovere della comunicazione. In questa missione ogni vicenda e azione, ogni parola e gesto, sono cariche di una valenza di profezia.

Przedmiotem analizy jest tekst Iz 43,8-13, który stanowi ważny moment w procesie sądowym, który Jahwe prowadzi z obcymi narodami i czczonymi przez nich bogami. Proces stanowi o dynamice narracyjnej Deutero-Izjasza. Dochodzi do zwrotu akcji w toczącym się procesie – Izrael z pozycji świadka Jahwe sam staje się oskarżony o odrzucenie powołania do bycia świadkiem. Poszukiwanie przyczyn nieudanego świadectwa Izraela o Bogu łączy się z odczytaniem treści tego świadectwa. Bóg nie rezygnuje z objawienia się światu i swoim świadkiem czyni postać nazwaną Sługą Jahwe, który nie tylko doprowadzi świat do poznania prawdy o Bogu, ale również usprawiedliwi Izrael i inne narody, stając się „przymierzem ludu”.
The subject of our analysis is an extract from the Book of Isaiah, 43:8-13, which represents a significant moment in a bilateral controversy (rîb) ordered by Yahveh against foreign nations and the gods they worship. The juridical controversy decides about powerful and dynamic narration in Deutero-Isaiah. There is an unexpected twist of action as the legal proceeding unfolds: Israel, once God’s witness, now becomes a nation accused of rejecting its primary vocation of being a witness. Our quest for the reasons behind Israel's failed testimony to God hinges on decoding the idealized content of that testimony. God does not renounce His revelation to the world but makes Yahveh’s Servant his witness. The Servant will not only lead the world to the truth about God but also justify Israel, as well as other nations, by forming a covenant with the people.

In the biblical perspective, stories about the creation of the world in Gen 1–2 remain to be the basis to a discussion about human creativity. The premise of the text – creation of man “in the image of God” – makes us assume that, according to the Bible, creativity of man is to be the image of God’s creativity. Verification of this thesis goes from presenting history of interpretation of the biblical idea, namely creation of man “in the image of God,” then points to the need of analyzing the narrative of this phrase. Since the image of God presented in Gen 1 is not descriptive, the second part of the paper examines the way God reveals himself in this text through his creative action. The key to God’s creativity is his word of creation which he uses to differentiate created beings and establish relationships among them in order to build harmony in the newly founded world. The final part of the paper focuses on the analysis of verbs which in Gen 1–2 refer to human creativity; those verbs also point to their possible association with words as instruments for creating, organizing and arranging reality shaped by man. Following that comes the conclusion that God’s creativity is extended into creativity of man who was made “in the image of God.”

Was für eine Hoffnung kann ein sündiger Mensch haben? Diese Frage orientiert unsere Lektüre vom Psalm 130. Die Analyse der Struktur sucht nach der Dynamik der Hoffnung. Sie entsteht in der dialogischen Beziehung des menschlichen Sündenbewußtseins mit dem barmherzigen Gott. Der Psalmist entdeckt als Fundament seiner Hoffnung Gottes Vergebung, Gnade und Erlösung. Deshalb erlebt er noch inmitten des Erwartens auf Gottes Wort der Vergebung seine Sicherheit bezüglich Gottes heilenden Eingreifens.

Il testo di Mi 6,1-8 tradizionalmente viene considerato como un esempio di critica profetica del culto. In tale prospettiva scompare la questione fondamentale dell'alleanza, segnalata gia dal genere letterario della disputa profetica. Su questo sfondo bisogna situare le domande riguardanti il ruolo del sacrificio nella relazione tra Dio e l'uomo. L'alleanza rimane un dono da parte di Dio che si impegna nella storia umana, fondando una comunione vitale con lsraele sulla base della sua giustizia e misericordia. Questi tre doni divini: comunione, misericordia e giustizia diventano un modello per una risposta dell'uomo al dono dell'alleanza (Mi 6,8). L'analisi esegetica rivela che il profeta non nega il ruolo del culto, ma soltanto cercha di redefinirlo come una manifestazione, un rinnovamento e un rafforzamento dell'alleanza.

L'articolo affronta il problema del contenuto della fede proposta da Ab 2,4 come strumento della vita. L'analisi si concentra prima sul contesto sapienziale della parola di Abacuc, poi sullo sfondo storico dell'intervento profetico e infine sull'esperienza di Abacuc come giusto sofferente. La vita viene della fede nella presenza di Dio anche quando la violenza che tocca il giusto sembra negarla. La giustizia richiesta dell'uomo consiste quindi non tanto nella conformim alla legge, quanto nel giusto rapporto con Dio in cui l'uomo rispetta ił tempo e la modalita dell'azione salvifica di Dio.

L’identità di Israele biblico si basa su due eventi fondamentali per la sua storia: l’esodo e l’alleanza sinaitica. Ambedue i temi vengono teologicamente interpretate in Es 19,3-8, dove nel contesto postesilico si cerca di dare una nuova definizione di Israele. L’interpretazione di questo testo inizia con l’esame del suo contesto letterario, la cui comprensione riguarda anche le qestioni redazionali. Il succesivo esame semantico mette in rilievo l’identità del popolo eletto nella sua dimensione relazionale, vocazionale e dialogica. Infine si interroga il rapporto tra Israele nato nell’alleanza sinaitica e la Chiesa fondata nell’alleanza di Cristo.
