Pirandello as professional spectator Abstract Luigio Pirandello’s drama were unfailingly popular with Polish directors between the beginningof the 1960s until the 1970s. Native creators have undertaken dramas from differentperiods of the Nobelist’s output and covering various topics – bourgeois comedy to metatheatricalworks. Most probably those do not include all that were staged then.It appears that an increased interest in the author is to be connected with the 25th anniversaryof his death, as is suggested by Mieczysław Brahmer in the 1961 Tak jest, jak się państwu zdaje(directed by Zofia Wiercińska).The fact that both then and now critics and researchers in the majority of cases assumed, notnecessarily consciously, they are writing about an artist that is mainly a writer and only thena critic of stage productions of his dramas and a stage producer for his own texts is significant.As a consequence they focused mainly on deconstructing the “pirandellism” condemned byBrahmer, in particular on its canonical interpretation by Adrian Tilgher. Therefore, the followingquestion comes to mind: what kind of interpretations are possible when Pirandello’sworks (especially the first part of the so-called trilogy of “theatre in a theatre” which consistsof Six Characters in Search of an Author, Each In His Own Way and Tonight We Improvise) areconsidered from the perspective of purpose, that is individual theatrical activity of Pirandelloas a co-founder, principal and stage producer of Teatro D’Arte in Rome (in operation between1924 and 1928). The present article attempts at showing the possible direction of a search foran answer to said question with the starting point being the 1962 production of Sześć postaciscenicznych w poszukiwaniu autora (Six Characters in Search of an Author) directed by MariaWiercińska in Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Łódź. The stake in a heated discussion on reviving tarantism in the Salentian culture by initiators and partcicipants of the project ‘The spider of a dancing god’ was the reinterpretation of the phenomenon itself: tarantism, which was perceived as a thing of the past and an embarrassing social problem, was to become artistically modified, namely isolated from life and displayed on stage. Rejecting tarantism as a folk practice and an attempt at representing it could also be interpreted as turning a blind eye to the problem of a woman’s position in society, without proposing anything in turn. Technological and social progress did not go hand in hand with the emancipation of an Italian woman. Luigi Piradnello in his drama, and Franka Rame in her monodrama captured this phenomenon brilliantly.

The aim of the study is to present the phenomenon of population migration and migration policy as part of the state’s economic policy based on the example of OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries, with particular emphasis on the area of migration policy, which is border control and related illegal migration. The temporal scope of the empirical analysis covers the period 1990-2016. The article consists of four main parts. The discussion began with a presentation of the balance of migration, the scale and dynamics of population immigration in OECD countries. Furthermore, the significance, areas and process of shaping migration policy as a part of the economic policy of the country are presented. Then, it focused on the migration policy in the area of border control in OECD countries. The discussion was crowned with the conclusions that followed.

Opis:
The concept of occupational health and safety is not defined in Polish law. The only place where such a definition can be found is PN-N-1801:2004. Nevertheless, according to the Act on standardisation, the application of Polish Standards is voluntary. Activities in the field of occupational health and safety should be an integral part of business management. Companies from countries which are members of the European Union, in accordance with Directive 89/391/EEC, are obliged to implement standards related to occupational health and safety. The most commonly used and recognised standard for occupational health and safety management systems, in line with the specifics of each company, is the OHSAS 18001 international management system, while in Poland it is the PN-N-18001 standard. The study examined the scope of OHS at work among Research and Innovation Centre Pro-Akademia employees. The employees were subjected to surveys. The results obtained show that employees appreciate the importance of OHS regulations, but they do not always consciously comply with them. One of the tools that enabled author to prepare this article is analytic method called desk research. Desk Research is a research method that boils down to analyzing the records of available data sources, including in particular their compilation, mutual verification and processing. Such analysis is the basis for drawing conclusions about the examined problem. For example - the effect of the Desk Research analysis proceeded as part of the labor market survey is the diagnosis of the state of the labor market in the studied area, the characteristics of all its component groups as well as a description and verification of the actions taken by the institutions operating within it.

At the beginning of 1965 Jerzy Grotowski and The Theatre of 13 Rows were forced to transfer their headquarters from Wrocław to Opole. One of the most difficult periods in the history of the company coincided with the resounding success of The Constant Prince, based on Julius Slowacki’s translation of Calderon’s play. In under two years this production brought him fame and a reputation as one of the most important artists of the contemporary theatre. Until the introduction of martial law in Poland in December 1981 and the exile of Grotowski first to the United States, then to Italy, Wrocław became a witness to the most important artistic works of Grotowski and the profound changes in his artistic practice: from the theatre, through the paratheatre, to his activities in the Theatre of Sources.

The aim of the article is to present and evaluate the main activities that support the education of immigrant children in Poland and in selected European countries as well as to compare the models of integration in the field of the education of immigrant children in respective countries.The article uses the following methods: critical analysis of the literature and deductive reasoning techniques. The paper consists of three parts. The first part presents the role of education in integration policy and the objectives of the main models of integration in the area of the education of immigrant children. The second part presents legal regulations and key data relevant to immigrant children in Polish schools. The third part of the article presents integration models in European countries and compares the models of integration in Poland and in other European countries. The research hypothesis is the following: education of immigrant children as an important aspect of the policy of integration is characterised by diversified activities in respective European countries.

In the 1980’s young artists of Italian theatre begin to work on restoring the communicationbetween the stage and the audience and giving the theatre a new meaning, as its decline becomesa point of discussion. In time, their attention goes to story telling, and it is artists themselveswho become story tellers.We believe that it is not by accident that the revival of narration theatre starts exactly atthat time. A post-modernist man, who perceives his own identity as disorganized set of fragments,needs a tool that would allow him to put himself together. That tool, as A. Giddens,S. Hall or P. Ricoeur state, is narration (Ricoeur talks about “narrative identity”). Narrationtheatre meets this human need by means of travel and laboratory method which teaches selfexpressionin relation with another person. (The term “teatro di narrazone” is translated into“narration theatre”, rather than “storyteller’s theatre”, to emphasize the relation of narrationtheatre with the theory of narrative identity.)Apart from this individual dimension, narration theatre has also a group dimension. Newnarrators – Teatro Laboratorio Settimo or M. Paolini – on one hand become living archives ofthe history of societies in which they work, and cultures in which they grew up; but on theother hand by active involvement of the audience in the artistic process they contribute to thecreation of new communities, based on the consciousness of the same past and connecting allof its members.

Two wooden piles, which used to be a part of the strengthening of the castle island are stored in Kórnik Castle. They were most probably excavated at the turn ofthe 1950s, during refurbishment works. In 2013, they were examined dendrochronologically and subjected to radiocarbon dating so that their age could be determined. It was established that the trees from which the piles were made were cut in 1511 (- 7/+8) (result for the oak sample) and 1512 (result for the alder sample).

Dear Readers, I have the pleasure of presenting to you the second issue of the research journal entitled “Research Papers in Economics and Finance” (REF), published by the Faculty of Economics at Poznań University of Economics and Business.  The first and the second paper were presented during the 10thEnvironmental PhD Candidates’ Conference “Economy. Technology. Society.” (GTS), organised by the Heads of Doctoral Studies together with the PhD Council of the Poznań University of Economics and Business. Five research papers were published in this issue of the journal. The first one focuses on changes in the employment structure caused by the development of automation technologies. The second article presents the role of the social responsibility of the state in shaping the reputation of the largest donors of official development assistance. The third article describes the theoretical background of motivation and market statistics of distressed investments on global mergers and the acquisitions market. Another article focuses onthe efficiency of the R&D sector in the European Union countries. Nel 1908 Sigmunt Freud parlò di un particolare tipo di approccio alla scrittura, in cui il principio creativo era sottoposto alle leggi di “Sua maestà l’Io”. La proposta di Freud sembra una risposta efficace alla domanda sui motivi della straordinaria fortuna della letteratura di massa, ossia dei bestseller costruiti secondo uno schema narrativo di matrice fiabesca, dove il protagonista, di solito è un eroe o un’eroina senza peccato. Nel nostro saggio illustreremo questo meccanismo sull’esempio di Arturo Bandini, il personaggio di spicco della narrativa dello scrittore e sceneggiatore italo-americano John Fante.
W 1908 w pismach Sigmunda Freuda pojawia się zagadnienie szczególnego typu podejścia do twórczości literackiej, podporządkowanego prawom „Jej Wysokości Ego”. Propozycja Freuda zdaje się skuteczną odpowiedzią na pytanie o przyczyny nadzwyczajnej popularności literatury masowej, czyli bestsellerów tworzonych w oparciu o schemat baśni. W artykule autorka podejmuje próbę zilustrowania tego mechanizmu na przykładzie Artura Bandiniego, bohatera prozy Johna Fantego.

With the increase in global spatial mobility the importance of migration policy (including integration policy) is increasing day by day, both in developed countries and new market economies. In the course of the research on migration policy various measures were constructed. Even though the particular measures relate to different areas of migration policy, they do not refer to the effectiveness of migration policy. The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness of the integration of immigrants into the labour market in the countries that belong to the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) and to analyse the relationships between these effects and the integration policy adopted by the individual countries. The TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution) method and the CRITIC (Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation) method were used in the research. The results indicate that the highest effectiveness of migration policy in terms of integration of immigrants into the labour market was reported in the following OECD countries: Iceland, Switzerland and New Zealand. The results also suggest that the higher the level of integration policy restrictiveness in a given country, the worse the effects in terms of integration of immigrants into the labour market that were noticed by this country.

Edukacja jako czynnik kształtujący strukturę społeczną, jest jedną z kluczowych inwestycji w kapitał ludzki. Ważnym wyznacznikiem nierówności w poziomie życia społeczeństwa jest posiadane wykształcenie. Kształcenie na poziomie wyższym odgrywa istotną rolę w zakresie kształtowania jakości kapitału ludzkiego jednostki, co w przy-szłości determinuje m.in. wysokość płac, a w konsekwencji wpływa też na rozwój gospodarczy. Celem artykułu jest próba wskazania różnic w zakresie jakości kapitału ludzkiego w obszarze szkolnictwa wyższego w ujęciu regionalnym w Polsce oraz za-leżności występujących między nierównościami w obszarze edukacji a poziomem rozwoju gospodarczego badanych regionów. Środkiem do realizacji zakładanego celu jest przegląd literatury oraz danych statystycznych publikowanych przez instytucje krajowe i międzynarodowe. Artykuł składa się z dwóch części, teoretycznej i empirycznej. W części teoretycznej zaprezentowano pojęcie i kluczowe aspekty związane z kształtowaniem się nierówności społecznych w zakresie edukacji oraz główne zależności między nierównościami społecznymi a kapitałem ludzkim. Z kolei w części empirycznej w oparciu o wybrane wskaźniki, przedstawiono analizę nierówności społecznych w obszarze edukacji na poziomie wyższym w poszczególnych regionach w Polsce. Przegląd oraz analiza zgromadzonych danych pozwoliła na wskazanie zróżnicowań oraz ocenę poziomu nierówności społecznych w szkolnictwie wyższym w poszczególnych regionach w Polsce, a także na sformułowanie najważniejszych wniosków w badanym obszarze.
Education as a factor affecting social structure is one of the key investments in human capital. An important determinant of disparities in living standards of society is held education. Higher education plays an important role in shaping the quality of human capital unit, which in the future is determined by, among others, wages, and conse-quently also affects economic development. The article attempts to identify differences in the quality of human capital in the field of higher education on a regional basis in Poland and the relationship existing between inequities in education and the level of economic development of the regions surveyed. A means of achieving their objective is to review the literature and statistical data published by national and international institutions. The article consists of two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part presents the concept and key aspects of the evolution of social inequalities in education and the main relationship between social inequalities and human capital. On the other hand, in the empirical part based on selected indicators we present an analysis of social inequalities in the field of higher education in the various regions in Poland. Review and analysis of the data collected made it possible to identify disparities and assess the level of social inequality in higher education in the various regions in Poland, as well as to formulate the most important conclusions of the study area.

Z art. 49 § 2 k.c. wynika, że osoba, która poniosła koszty budowy urządzeń przesyłowych i jest ich właścicielem może żądać, aby przedsiębiorca, który przyłączył urządzenia do swojej sieci, nabył ich własność za odpowiednim wynagrodzeniem. Charakter i treść roszczenia wynikającego ze wskazanego powyżej przepisu wywołuje wiele wątpliwości. W wyroku z 22 maja 2013 roku Sąd Apelacyjny w Szczecinie stwierdził, że przedmiotowe roszczenie nie ma charakteru bezwarunkowego, jednakże sąd w uzasadnieniu swojego rozstrzygnięcia nie wyjaśnił, jak należy rozumieć pojęcie „bezwarunkowy”. W niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiono stanowisko zaprezentowane przez sąd oraz podjęto próbę jego oceny.
According to the article 49 § 2 of the Civil Code, a person who incurred construction costs of installations and who is their owner, may demand that an entrepreneur who connected installations to his own network, acquires their ownership against an adequate remuneration. Character and content of this claim raise a lot of concerns. Court of Appeal in Szczecin passed a judgement on the 22nd of May 2013 in which stated thatmentioned above claim does not have an unconditional character. However the Court of Appeal has not explained what does mean a term “unconditional”. This paper describes the point of view presented by the Court of Appeal with a comment.

W praktyce spółek prawa handlowego poddanie sporu pod rozstrzygnięcie sądu polubownego może nastąpić w dwóch sytuacjach. Po pierwsze, na podstawie umowy stron, w której wskazany zostanie przedmiot sporu lub stosunek prawny, z którego spór wyniknął lub może wyniknąć. Po drugie, wiążący spółkę oraz jej wspólników zapis na sąd polubowny dotyczący sporów ze stosunku spółki może zostać zamieszczony w umowie(statucie) spółki handlowej. Zagadnienie statutowej klauzuli arbitrażowej poddano szczegółowej analizie w licznych opracowaniach naukowych. Wątpliwości interpretacyjne pojawiają się jednak również na tle zakresu podmiotowego oraz przedmiotowego zapisu nasad polubowny zawieranego w umowie, której stroną jest spółka. W niniejszym opracowaniu podjęto, zatem próbę analizy przypadków, w których zakres podmiotowy skutków zapisu na sąd polubowny ulega rozszerzeniu, a w szczególności spróbowano odpowiedzieć na pytanie, czy zapis zawarty w umowie, której stroną jest spółka osobowa, ulega rozszerzeniu na wspólników tej spółki, ponoszących odpowiedzialność za zobowiązania spółki.
In the course of the company’s operations submitting a dispute for settlement to an arbitration court may occur in the following two circumstances. Firstly, the parties may conclude an agreement specifying the matter at issue or the legal relationship from which a dispute arose or could arise. Secondly, an arbitration clause in the articles of association of a commercial company concerning disputes arising from company relationships is binding on the company and its shareholders. Problems connected with the issue statutory arbitration clause has been detailed analyzed in the literature. However interpretational doubts occur also in connection with objective and subjective scope of arbitration clause situated in the agreement concluded by a company. In this paper had been made an attempt to analyze cases in which the objective scope of an arbitration clause expands, in particular to answer a question whether arbitration clause situated in the agreement concluded by a company extends and includes the members of a company who held responsibility for the company’s assets.
