W artykule poruszono problem realizacji budynku usługowo-biurowego z wielopoziomowym parkingiem wśród zwartej zabudowy centrum miasta, na terenie znajdującym się w archeologicznej strefie ochrony konserwatorskiej. Przedstawiono historię tego rejonu, działania związane z przygotowaniem realizacji inwestycji, w tym przeprowadzone prace archeologiczne oraz działania związane ze wzmocnieniem sąsiednich budynków. Omówiono problem konieczności wprowadzenia nowej organizacji ruchu drogowego na ulicach przyległych do placu budowy. Przedstawiono realizację obiektu oraz jego funkcje i parametry użytkowe.
The paper discusses the issue of carrying out a construction project comprising a service and office building with a multi-level car park facilities in a high-density housing in a city centre, in the area located in the archaeological zone of conservation protection. It presents the history of the region, activities related to the preparation of the project, including archaeological work and activities connected with the reinforcement of neighbouring buildings. The issue of the need to introduce a new traffic organization in the streets adjacent to the construction site has been discussed. The project’s realisation as well as its functions and in-use parameters have been presented.

Modern telecommunication networks face an increasing demand for services. Among these, an increasing number are services that can adapt to available bandwidth, and are therefore referred to as elastic traffic. Nominal network design for elastic traffic becomes increasingly significant. Typical resource allocation methods are concerned with the allocation of limited resources among competing activities so as to achieve the best overall performance of the system. In the network dimensioning problem for elastic traffic, one needs to allocate bandwidth to maximize service flows and simultaneously to reach a fair treatment of all the elastic services. Thus, both the overall efficiency (throughput) and the fairness (equity) among various services are important. In such applications, the so-called Max-Min Fairness (MMF) solution concept is widely used to formulate the resource allocation scheme. This approach guarantees fairness but may lead to significant losses in the overall throughput of the network. In this paper we show how the concepts of multiple criteria equitable optimization can be effectively used to generate various fair resource allocation schemes. We introduce a multiple criteria model ecluivalent to equitable optimization and we develop a corresponding reference point procedure to generate fair efficient bandwidth allocations. The procedure is tested on a sample network dimensioning problem and its abilities to model various preferences are demonstrated.

The dimensioning of telecommunication networks that carry elastic traffic requires the fulfillment of two conflicting goals: maximizing the total network throughput and providing fairness to all flows. Fairness in telecommunication network design is usually provided using the so-called max-min fairness (MMF) approach. However, this approach maximizes the performance of the worst (most expensive) flows which may cause a large worsening of the overall throughput of the network. In this paper we show how the concepts of multiple criteria equitable optimization can be effectively used to generate various fair and efficient allocation schemes. We introduce a multiple criteria model equivalent to equitable optimization and we develop a corresponding reference point procedure for fair and efficient network dimensioning for elastic flows. The procedure is tested on a sample network dimensioning problem for elastic traffic and its abilities to model various preferences are demonstrated.

Opis:
This paper shows an example of the grouping of piezocone penetration test (CPTU) characteristics using functional data analysis, together with the results of clustering, in the form of a subsoil rigidity model. The subsoil rigidity model was constructed based on layer separation using the proposed method, as well as the k-means method. In the construction of the subsoil rigidity model, the constrained modulus M was applied. These moduli were determined from empirical relationships for overconsolidated and normally consolidated soils from Poland based on cone tip resistance.

Opłaty związane ze składowaniem odpadów komunalnych na składowiskach systematycznie wzrastają i tak w 2007 r. wynosiły one 15 zł*t-1, w 2008 r. - 75 zł*t-1, w 2009 r. - 100 zł*t-1, w 2010 r. - 104 zł*t-1, a w 2013 r. przewiduję się, że opłaty te będą wynosić 245 zł*t-1. W związku z powyższym rozpoczęto opracowywanie innych technologii unieszkodliwiania odpadów komunalnych. Jedną z nich jest termiczne unieszkodliwianie, odbywające się w odpowiednio przystosowanych piecach, zazwyczaj rusztowych. Mając na uwadze rozwój tego rodzaju technologii badaniom procesu spalania poddano 13 rodzajów odpadów, wchodzących w skład odpadów komunalnych. Określono charakterystyczne czasy spalania oraz charakterystyczne temperatury popiołu, co obrazuje zachowanie się substancji palnej i substancji mineralnej odpadów podczas procesu spalania.
Charges connected with the storage of municipal wastes in landfills are raising systematically. In 2007 they amounted to 15 PLN *t-1, in 2008 - 75 PLN *t-1, in 2009 - 100 PLN *t-1, in 2010 - 104 PLN *t-1; in 2013 the charges are expected to reach 245 PLN *t-1. Consequently, a search for other methods of municipal waste neutralization has been undertaken. One of such methods is their thermal neutralization in properly adapted furnaces, usually the grate furnaces. Taking into account the development of such technology, the incineration process of fourteen various waste types, contained in municipal wastes, was investigated. Characteristic duration time of incineration and characteristic ash temperatures, which reflect the behaviour of flammable substances in wastes during incineration process, were determined.
