    Jak jest realizowane w Polsce duszpasterstwo chorych rozumiane jako działalność Kościoła zmierzająca do udzielenia wszechstronnej pomocy osobom przeżywającym doświadczenie choroby i cierpienia? Czy podejmowane w jego ramach działania z jednej strony biorą pod uwagę wymiar normatywny zawarty w Objawieniu i Magisterium Kościoła, a drugiej strony odczytanie pojawiających się znaków czasu? Autor artykułu postanowił zestawić ze sobą wybrane wskazania Magisterium Kościoła z wynikami prowadzonych przez siebie w 1998 roku i powtórzonych w 2014 roku badań socjologicznych, aby ukazać, jak na przestrzeni 16 lat zmieniło się to duszpasterstwo. Pragnie on też uwypuklić konieczność podjęcia takich działań, aby było ono wierne wskazaniom Magisterium i wyzwaniom współczesności.
    Jesus Christ treated the sick in a special way, healing their diseases and weaknesses (Matt 4: 23). The Church, faithful to the command of her Founder, continually engages in the ministry of the sick and suffering, regarding this ministry as an integral part of her mission. This type of ser-vice needs to become a priority especially in a prosperous and efficient society, in a culture char-acterized by idolatry of the body, dismissal of suffering and pain and by the myth of perennial youth (EiE 88). How is the ministry of the sick carried out in Poland? Does the pastoral work, on the one hand, take into account a normative dimension, contained in the Revelation and the Magisterium of the Church, as well as read the emerging signs of the times on the other? The author of the paper has compared selected guidelines of the Magisterium of the Church with the results of the sociolog-ical research he conducted in 1998 and replicated in 2014, in order to show how this ministry has changed over 16 years. The author also wishes to point out to the need for actions that would com-ply with the Magisterium and respond to the challenges of the modern day.

    Konstytucja duszpasterska o Kościele w świecie współczesnym II Soboru Watykańskiego wzywa wszystkich ludzi do rozwijania dialogu w myśl zasady: „niechaj w sprawach koniecznych panuje jedność, w wątpliwych wolność, we wszystkich zaś miłość” (KDK 92). Pięćdziesiąta rocznica opublikowania tego dokumentu jest dobrą okazją do przyjrzenia się Kościołowi w Polsce pod kątem realizacji wezwania do dialogu w aspekcie ad intra i ad extra. Autor szuka odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jakim stopniu wskazania Magisterium Kościoła powszechnego zawarte w nauczaniu II Soboru Watykańskiego i encyklice Ecclesiam suam Pawła VI, dotyczące istoty i zasad prowadzenia dialogu, znajdują odzwierciedlenie w polskiej rzeczywistości, zarówno w nauczaniu Kościoła, jak też w codziennej praktyce. Najpierw przedstawia on istotę i rodzaje dialogu, następnie ukazuje, jak powinien wyglądać dialog w świetle wybranych tekstów Magisterium Kościoła powszechnego. Następnie ukazuje, jak nauczanie dotyczące dialogu jest realizowane przez Kościół w Polsce w wymiarze dialogu ad intra (diecezjalne i parafialne rady duszpasterskie) i dialogu ad extra (ekumenizm, islam, judaizm, niewierzący), aby w końcu przejść do wniosków i postulatów pastoralnych.
    The Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World resulting from the Second Vatican Councilappeals to all people for developing the dialog in accordance with the following rule: Hence, let there be unity in what is necessary; freedom in what is unsettled, and charity in any case (GS 92). The 50th anniversary of issuing this document is a great opportunity to take a good look at the Church in Poland in the context of performing the dialog both ad intra and ad extra. The author is seeking an answer to the question to what extent the directions of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church included in the teaching of the Second Vatican Council and the Encyclical Ecclesiam suam of Paul VI concerning the essence and rules of carrying on the dialog are reflected in the Polish reality, both within the Magisterium and the everyday practice. First, he introduces the general character and types of the dialog, and, next, he presents how the dialog should be carried on, basing on the chosen texts of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Then, he presents, how the teaching about the dialogue is done by the Church in Poland, both in the ad intra (diocesan and parish pastoral councils) and ad extra context (ecumenism, Islam, Judaism). Finally, the author discusses his conclusions and pastoral postulates.

    On 20th July 2020 Congregation for the Clergy issued an instruction The pastoral conversion of the Parish community in the service of the evangelising mission of the Church. This document brings together the previous teachings of the Magisterium regarding the Parish community, approaching them from the perspective of the Pope Francis’s teaching calling for pastoral conversion of the whole Church, which should result in the missionary attitude of bringing the message of Gospel to all the people. Issuing of the instruction evoked different responses. Some of them were positive, praising the presenting of the integrated knowledge regarding the legal basis of the Parrish community functioning, as well as speaking highly of this document in the context of mapping out a wide range of the contemporary circumstances in which the parishes function. Also, providing the inspiration for the renewal of the Parish Ministry was ap-preciated. However, some criticisms were also raised, regarding the lack of new solutions aiming at involving the lay faithful in the life of the Parish community, putting too little emphasis on the necessity of the personal parishes development and the offer of the detailed pastoral methods. The author describes the main ideas included in this document, which has not reached a wider readership in Poland. At the same time, he (1), presents the discussion that the issuing of the instruction has evoked (2), referring to the document itself and suggesting some inspiration for creative searching for the ways of reaching the renewal of the Parish community in the context of the Pastoral conversion (3).

    In his apostolic exhortation Evangelii gaudium, in which Pope Francis wrote about some of the modern world challenges, he pointed out to the challenges for urban cultures emphasizing the fact, that “the new cultures (…) constantly being born in these vast new expanses where Christians are no longer the customary interpreters or generators of meaning” along with changes undergoing there “create are a privileged locus of the new evangelization” (EG 73). The Pope also noted that “this challenges us to imagine innovative spaces and possibilities for prayer and communion which are more attractive and meaningful for city dwellers” (ibidem). Responding to the Pope’s appeal, the author of this article addresses the issue of the future of the pastoral ministry carried out in the cities in the spirit of the pastoral conversion and missionary pastoral ministry (EG 25; 33-35). at the beginning, he presents the chosen sociological determinants concerning the urban pastoral ministry (1), then he describes the theological grounds of the urban pastoral ministry, pointing out to the teaching of the Magisterium regarding the pastoral conversion and missionary pastoral ministry (2). The final result of his reflections is depicting the lines of action which would lead to the renewal and development of the pastoral ministry in the cities in Poland (3).

    Jan Paweł II w liście Novo millenio ineunte (2001) zachęcał Kościół, aby „program zawarty w Ewangelii i w żywej Tradycji […] znalazł wyraz we wskazaniach duszpasterskich dosto sowanych do sytuacji każdej wspólnoty” (29). Z kolei Dyrektorium o pasterskiej posłudze biskupów Apostolorum Succesores (2004) apeluje, aby działalność apostolska w diecezji była odpowiednio zorganizowana, zgodnie „z programem czy planem duszpasterskim, którego opracowanie domaga się uprzedniej analizy warunków socjalnych w których żyją wierni, tak aby działalność duszpasterska była coraz bardziej skuteczna” (AS 165). Dokument zauważa także konieczność opracowania na poziomie parafi alnym programu inicjatyw związanych z opieką duszpasterską, który określi sposoby ich realizacji (AS 212). Celem artykułu jest pokazanie tego, jak wygląda planowanie duszpasterskie Kościoła w Polsce, na przykładzie realizowanego w latach 2013–2017 ogólnopolskiego programu duszpasterskiego Przez Chrystusa, z Chrystusem, w Chrystusie. Przez wiarę i chrzest do świadectwa (2013–2107). Autorzy artykułu, wykorzystując ankietę internetową (online survey), przeprowadzili we wrześniu 2017 roku badania wśród polskich proboszczów, prosząc ich o ocenę istoty, sposobu przygotowania, treści, propagowania oraz realizacji wspomnianego programu duszpasterskiego. W swoim artykule przedstawiają oni wybrane wyniki badań, poprzedzając je ukazaniem teologicznychpodstaw planowania duszpasterskiego, a kończąc sformułowaniem wniosków i postulatów pastoralnych.
    In his letter Novo millenio ineunte (2001) Pope John Paul II encouraged the Church to act in such a way that “the plan [...] found in the Gospel and in the living Tradition was refl ected in the pastoral instructions adjusted to every community”(29). On the other hand, the Directory for the pastoral ministry of bishops, Apostolorum Succesores (2004) calls for proper organization of the pastoral activity in the diocese, according to the „pastoral plan or plan which must be prepared on the formerly made analysis of the living conditions of the people so that the pastoral activity could be increasingly more eff ective” (AS 165). This document includes also the neccesity of establishing the plans of initiatives connected with the pastoral care on the level of parishes along with ways of implementing them (AS 212). The purpose of this article is to present the pastoral planning of the Church in Poland on the basis of the Polish national pastoral plan implemented in 2013–2017 and entitled Through Christ, With Christ, In Christ. Through Faith And Baptism To-wards Testimony. In September 2017 the authors made an internet survey among the Polish parish priests, asking them to evaluate the essence of this plan, along with the way it has been prepared and implemented. The article presents selected results of this research, preceded by setting out the theological basis of pastoral planning, and closing with formulated conclusions and theological postulates.

    Dyskusja nad rozumieniem teologii pastoralnej oraz jej statusem metodologicznym trwa już od wielu lat. Do jej rozwoju przyczynił się także II Sobór Watykański, który zaoferował nowe perspektywy jej rozwoju, nakreślił odnowione cele i sugerował odmienny styl i metody badań. Dlatego zagadnienie statusu metodologicznego teologii pastoralnej jest zagadnieniem aktualnym także dziś. Jego specyfikę wyznacza odwoływanie się w badaniach pastoralnych zarówno do źródeł teologicznych jak i pozateologicznych. Autorzy artykułu podejmują próbę określenia relacji teologii pastoralnej do jej nauk pomocniczych, próbując zarazem ukazać istotę psychologii pastoralnej, pedagogiki pastoralnej i socjologii pastoralnej. Opisują specyfikę interdyscyplinarnego uprawiania teologii pastoralnej, koncentrując się dziedzinach pozateologicznych. Proponują także pewne sugestie metodologiczne, które mają być punktem wyjścia do merytorycznej dyskusji i zaproponowania nowych rozwiązań.
    The debates related to the understanding of pastoral theology are being held continuously. The Second Vatican Council has exceptionally contributed to this development, since its pastoral character led to offering prospects for setting new goals and for designing new style and methods of research. Therefore it is worth triggering off a reflection on the method of applying pastoral theology. It is of specific character, since it draws from two sources – both theological and non-theological. The authors of this article have been inspired by the document issued by the International Theological Commission Theology today: Perspectives, Principles and Criteria (2012), which emphasizes the fact that the practical theology has greatly profited from being combined with sociology, psychology and pedagogy (No. 81). Therefore, they decided to attempt to specify the relationship between pastoral theology and these sciences. They ask whether pastoral psychology, pedagogy and sociology are sub-disciplines of pastoral theology, sub-fields of non-theological sciences or whether they are interdisciplinary sciences of theoretical and practical character, whose achievements are exploited in the process of creating theological models of the pastoral activity, comprising also the paths for it. Carrying out such considerations, the authors remind the essence and goals of pastoral theology, they stress its nature, which is both prescriptive and practical, presenting at the same time its methods. Furthermore, they discuss the specifics of practicing interdisciplinary pastoral theology, concentrating on the non-theological fields. Finally, they propose some theological suggestions, stipulating explicitly that they are not of the conclusive character and they are just supposed to initiate a substantive discussion aiming at formulating new solutions.
