Opis:
The fruit fly optimization algorithm (FOA) is a global optimization algorithm inspired by the foraging behavior of a fruit fly swarm. In this study, a novel stochastic fractal model based fruit fly optimization algorithm is proposed for multiobjective optimization. A food source generating method based on a stochastic fractal with an adaptive parameter updating strategy is introduced to improve the convergence performance of the fruit fly optimization algorithm. To deal with multiobjective optimization problems, the Pareto domination concept is integrated into the selection process of fruit fly optimization and a novel multiobjective fruit fly optimization algorithm is then developed. Similarly to most of other multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs), an external elitist archive is utilized to preserve the nondominated solutions found so far during the evolution, and a normalized nearest neighbor distance based density estimation strategy is adopted to keep the diversity of the external elitist archive. Eighteen benchmarks are used to test the performance of the stochastic fractal based multiobjective fruit fly optimization algorithm (SFMOFOA). Numerical results show that the SFMOFOA is able to well converge to the Pareto fronts of the test benchmarks with good distributions. Compared with four state-of-the-art methods, namely, the non-dominated sorting generic algorithm (NSGA-II), the strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm (SPEA2), multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO), and multiobjective self-adaptive differential evolution (MOSADE), the proposed SFMOFOA has better or competitive multiobjective optimization performance.

Opis:
The health condition of rolling bearing can directly influence to the efficiency and lifecycle of rotating machinery, thus monitoring and diagnosing the faults of rolling bearing is of great importance. Unfortunately, vibration signals of rolling bearing are usually overwhelmed by external noise, so the fault frequencies of rolling bearing cannot be readily obtained. In this paper, an improved feature extraction method called IMFs_PE, which combines the multivariate empirical mode decomposition with the permutation entropy, is proposed to extract fault frequencies from the noisy bearing vibration signals. First, the raw bearing vibration signals are filtered by an optimal band-pass filter determined by SK to remove the irrelative noise which is not in the same frequency band of fault frequencies. Then the filtered signals are processed by the IMFs_PE to get rid of the relative noise which is in the same frequency band of fault frequencies. Finally, a frequency domain condition indicator FFR(Fault Frequency Ratio), which measures the magnitude of fault frequencies in frequency domain, is calculated to compare the effectiveness of the feature extraction methods. The feature extraction method proposed in this paper has advantages of removing both irrelative noise and relative noise over other feature extraction methods. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by simulated and experimental bearing signals. And the results are shown that the proposed method outperforms other state of the art algorithms with regards to fault feature extraction of rolling bearing.

Opis:
The degradation of flutriafol in aqueous persulfate (S2O82–) system in the presence of selected transition metal ions was investigated. In the presence of Ag+ or Fe2+, flutriafol degradation occurs, whereas in the presence of Mn2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Bi3+ ions, the degradation is less than 15%. The Ag+/ S2O82– aqueous system being the most effective was adopted for experimental and theoretical investigations. It was confirmed that pH of 3.0 is the most suitable, and that both · SO4and ·OH– radicals are the main active species to afford flutriafol degradation, with the former contributes more than the latter. To elucidate degradation mechanism, molecular orbital calculations were performed and reaction intermediates identified by GC/MS and HPLC/MS/MS analyses. Three degradation pathways are proposed that involve the cleavage of C–N and C–C bonds as a result of ·SO4 attack, as well as the formation of hydroxylated products due to · OH radicals.

Opis:
The crystal structure, electronic, and mechanical properties of antifluorite $Be_2X$ (X = C, Si) are calculated using the first-principles method based on density functional theory. Our calculated lattice parameters at equilibrium volume are in good agreement with the experimental data and other theoretical calculations. In order to obtain further information, the mechanical properties including bulk modulus, shear modulus, Young's modulus, and Poisson's ratio are deduced from calculated elastic constants. Meanwhile, the sound velocity and Debye temperature are also predicted. The bonding nature in $Be_2X$ (X = C, Si) is a complex mixture of covalent and ionic characters.

In order to monitor and correct the meteorological factors of the spring gravity meter, the characteristics of the time varying gravity changes caused by meteorological factors were analyzed. Kunming GS15 gravity meter from 2007 continuous gravity observation has been carried out with the sampling rate of the pressure observation. In this study, we first compare the effects of 4 types of gravity meter and 3 different types of stations on the gravity observed seasonal gravity signals. It is indicated that the observed seasonal gravity signal of the cave is only 1/10, and there is a constant temperature and constant pressure device. Compared with the same time, the gravity signal of the gravity signal is about 100 times smaller. The influence of the pressure load of the gravity meter is tested by using the theory of pressure. The results show that only the actual value of 2cpd - 3cpd pressure load varies from -0.395 to -0.280×10-8ms-2 , and the 1cpd to 1 cpm periodic partial type gravity meter is also in accordance with the law of gravity and air pressure. And with the characteristics of time lag. In this paper, the nonlinear zero drift parameters of the linear regression model with time lag and the time series of the GS15 gravity meter are used to simulate the nonlinear zero drift parameters of the gravity meter. The results show that the gravity signal contains time lag 35 hours, and the air pressure admittance is 0.8 × 10-8ms-2/mbar. The correlation can reach 79%. The gravity changes signal and satellite gravity as well as the gravity water load signal of the land water model are the same as the gravity water load signal in the autumn as the minimum value, and the seasonal variation of the maximum value of gravity in summer.

This paper presents a modified model to calculate the thermal resistance of woven and knitted fabrics according to the microstructural parameters. The model was established by analysing the heat transfer process in the simplified basic unit of the fabrics. The model was modified and checked by experimental values of various fabric samples. Pearson correlation coefficients between the thermal resistance and fabric structural parameters were calculated. Results indicate that fabric thermal resistance can be predicted by the modified equation satisfactorily. The Pearson correlation coefficient from high to low follows such a sequence: fabric thickness, fabric volume density, fabric structural parameter a, fibre volume density, and fibre thermal conductivity.
W artykule przedstawiono zmodyfikowany model pozwalający obliczyć opór termiczny tkanin i dzianin w zależności od parametrów ich mikrostruktury. Model został skonstruowany poprzez analizę procesu przepływu ciepła przez uproszczoną jednostkę płaskiego materiału włókienniczego. Model został sprawdzony w praktyce przez badanie różnych próbek tkanin i dzianin. Przy ocenie zastosowano porównanie współczynników korelacji Pearsona między oporem termicznym i parametrami strukturalnymi. Wyniki wskazują, że termiczną izolację płaskich materiałów włókienniczych można przewidzieć w zadowalającym stopniu przez zaproponowane zmodyfikowane równania. Współczynniki korelacji Pearsona począwszy od dużych do małych można uszeregować dla następujących parametrów: grubość tkaniny, gęstość właściwa tkaniny, parametry strukturalne, gęstość właściwa włókien i przewodność cieplna włókien.

We have two motivations. Firstly, semantic gap is a tough problem puzzling almost all sub-fields of Artificial Intelligence. We think semantic gap is the conflict between the abstractness of high-level symbolic definition and the details, diversities of low-level stimulus. Secondly, in object recognition, a pre-defined prototype of object is crucial and indispensable for bi-directional perception processing. On the one hand this prototype was learned from perceptional experience, and on the other hand it should be able to guide future downward processing. Human can do this very well, so physiological mechanism is simulated here. We utilize a mechanism of classical and non-classical receptive field (nCRF) to design a hierarchical model and form a multi-layer prototype of an object. This also is a realistic definition of concept, and a representation of denoting semantic. We regard this model as the most fundamental infrastructure that can ground semantics. Here a AND-OR tree is constructed to record prototypes of a concept, in which either raw data at low-level or symbol at high-level is feasible, and explicit production rules are also available. For the sake of pixel processing, knowledge should be represented in a data form; for the sake of scene reasoning, knowledge should be represented in a symbolic form. The physiological mechanism happens to be the bridge that can join them together seamlessly. This provides a possibility for finding a solution to semantic gap problem, and prevents discontinuity in low-order structures.

In China dry ports enter into a rapid development period now, however for many Chinese dry ports, the operation faces difficulties duo to inefficient logistics networks and cooperation relationship between dry ports and seaports. Focusing on the concession cooperation mechanism of seaports and dry ports, and the environmental constraints (carbon emissions and congestion cost), a bi-objective location-allocation MILP model for the sustainable hinterland-dry ports-seaports logistics network optimization is formulated, aiming at the system logistics costs and carbon emissions to be minimized. Moreover, for the cooperation mechanism of seaports to dry ports, a parameter called cooperation cost concession coefficient is proposed for the optimization model, and a new evaluation method based on the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator is used to evaluate it. Then a location-allocation decision-making framework for the hinterland-dry port-seaport logistics network is proposed. The innovative aspect of the model is that it can proposes a effective and environment friendly dry ports location strategic and also give insights into the connective cooperation relationships, and cargo flows of the network. A case study involving configuration of dry ports in Henan Province is conducted, and the model is successfully applied.

With respect to multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems in which attribute values take the form of fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy values, a new decision making analysis method is developed. First, some operational laws of fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy values, score function and accuracy function of fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy values are introduced. Then, we have developed two fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy Choquet integral aggregation operators: fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy Choquet ordered averaging (FNIFCOA) operator and fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy Choquet ordered geometric mean (FNIFCOGM) operator. The prominent characteristic of the operators is that they can not only consider the importance of the elements or their ordered positions, but also reflect the correlation among the elements or their ordered positions. We have studied some desirable properties of the FNIFCOA and FNIFCOGM operators, such as commutativity, idempotency and monotonicity, and applied the FNIFCOA and FNIFCOGM operators to multiple attribute decision making with fuzzy number intuitionistic fuzzy information. Finally an illustrative example has been given to show the developed method.

The methylotrophic yeast Pichia pastoris GS115, a widely used strain in production of various heterologous proteins, especially membrane-bound enzymes, can also produce linoleic and linolenic acids, which indicates the existence of membrane-bound Δ12 and Δ15-fatty acid desaturases. This paper describes the cloning and functional characterization of a novel Δ12-fatty acid desaturase gene from this methylotrophic yeast. The open reading frame of the gene (named Pp-FAD12) is 1263 bp in size and encodes a 420-amino-acid peptide. The deduced Pp-FAD12 protein shows high identity (50-67%) with Δ12-fatty acid desaturases from other fungi. It also shows a high identity (57%) with Δ15-fatty acid desaturase (named Sk-FAD15) from Saccharomyces kluyveri. Expression of Pp-FAD12 in polyunsaturated fatty acids non-producing yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae demonstrated that its product converted oleic acid (18 : 1) to linoleic acid (18 : 2). This result suggests that Pp-FAD12 encodes a novel Δ12-fatty acid desaturase in P. pastoris GS115. This is the first report about the cloning and functional characterization of Δ12-fatty acid desaturase gene in methylotrophic yeast.

Polymers with biaxial aligned molecular chains are also orthotropic materials, which are characterized by high tensile strength and low shear strength in the length direction. When orthotropic materials are used as structural shapes with poor shear strength, they are likely to undergo premature failure under shear stress. Therefore, in three-point bending, the cross-section of the entire profile not only bears tensile stress and compressive stress in the length direction, but also simultaneously exhibits shear stress. This study analyzes the distribution of tensile stress, compressive stress and shear stress in the length direction of highly oriented polymers (HOP) by finite element analysis to find the most suitable length-to-height ratio for these materials when used as structural shapes. The finite element analysis software, Abaqus, is utilized to simulate HOP T-beam to analyze the load stress of a T-beam. With a fixed cross–section area, as the length of the material changes, its shear strength also changes. Accordingly, the order of occurrence of tensile failure and shear failure can be investigated. The simulation reveals that when the length-to-height ratio is between 4 : 1 and 20 : 1, a zone of stress in which tensile failure and shear failure occur can be found. This result can be exploited in the design and development of structural beam.
Polimery o dwuosiowo zorientowanych łańcuchach makrocząsteczek są materiałami ortotropowymi, wykazującymi dużą wytrzymałość na rozciąganie oraz niewielką wytrzymałość na ścinanie w kierunku długości. Elementy konstrukcyjne wytworzone z materiału ortotropowego o małej wytrzymałości na ścinanie są podatne na przedwczesne uszkodzenie pod wpływem naprężeń ścinających. Przy zginaniu trójpunktowym w przekroju ich profilu występują zarówno naprężenia rozciągające i ściskające w kierunku podłużnym, jak i naprężenia ścinające. Metodą elementów skończonych analizowano rozkład naprężeń rozciągających, ściskających i ścinających w kierunku podłużnym wysoko zorientowanych polimerów (HOP) w celu określenia optymalnego stosunku długości do wysokości w kształtach konstrukcyjnych. Do symulacji naprężeń obciążeniowych w zginaniu trójpunktowym belki teowej wykorzystano program komputerowy Abaqus. Stwierdzono, że przy stałej powierzchni przekroju poprzecznego belki jej wytrzymałość na ścinanie zmienia się wraz ze zmianą długości. Badano również kolejność występowania uszkodzeń pod wpływem działania sił rozciągających i ścinających. Symulacja wykazała, że przy stosunku długości do wysokości w zakresie od 4 : 1 do 20 : 1 występuje strefa naprężeń, w której mogą się pojawiać uszkodzenia w wyniku rozciągania lub ścinania. Uzyskane wyniki można wykorzystać w projektowaniu i optymalizacji belek konstrukcyjnych.

Opis:
Traffic accidents usually cause congestion and increase travel-times. The cost of extra travel time and fuel consumption due to congestion is huge. Traffic operators and drivers expect an accurately forecasted accident duration to reduce uncertainty and to enable the implementation of appropriate strategies. This study demonstrates two non-parametric machine learning methods, namely the k-nearest neighbour method and artificial neural network method, to construct accident duration prediction models. The factors influencing the occurrence of accidents are numerous and complex. To capture this phenomenon and improve the performance of accident duration prediction, the models incorporated various data including accident characteristics, traffic data, illumination, weather conditions, and road geometry characteristics. All raw data are collected from two public agencies and were integrated and cross-checked. Before model development, a correlation analysis was performed to reduce the scale of interrelated features or variables. Based on the performance comparison results, an artificial neural network model can provide good and reasonable prediction for accident duration with mean absolute percentage error values less than 30%, which are better than the prediction results of a k-nearest neighbour model. Based on comparison results for circumstances, the Model which incorporated significant variables and employed the ANN method can provide a more accurate prediction of accident duration when the circumstances involved the day time or drunk driving than those that involved night time and did not involve drunk driving. Empirical evaluation results reveal that significant variables possess a major influence on accident duration prediction.
