Opis:
Aiming at the problems of the negative sequence governance and regenerative braking energy utilization of electrified railways a layered compensation optimization strategy considering the power flow of energy storage systems was proposed based on the railway power conditioner. The paper introduces the topology of the energy storage type railway power conditioner and analyzes its negative sequence compensation and regenerative braking energy utilization mechanism considering the influence of equipment capacity and power flow of the energy storage system on railway power conditioner compensation effect, the objective function and constraint conditions of the layered compensation optimization of the energy storage type railway power conditioner were constructed and the sequential quadratic programming method was used to solve the problem. The feasibility of the proposed strategy is verified by a multicondition simulation test. The results show that the proposed optimization compensation strategy can realize negative sequence compensation and regenerative braking energy utilization, improve the power factor of traction substations when the system equipment capacity is limited and it also has good realtime performance.

Opis:
Silicate minerals with a certain degree of flotability are often easy to mix into sulfide ore concentrate in mineral processing industry. In this paper, the adsorption of yeast dextran on clinochlore and its application in pyrite/clinochlore separation were investigated. The adsorbed amount and micro polarity measurement results displayed that the yeast dextran molecules selectively adsorbed onto clinochlore surface compared with pyrite. The adsorbed yeast dextran resulted in the increase in the surface polarity of clinochlore surface, and inhibited the further adsorption of xanthate, thus keep it hydrophilic and depressed. Quantum chemical computation results indicated that yeast dextran was mainly adsorbed on mineral surface by the chelation with the surface metal active sites, and the chelating strength of yeast dextran with three ions was in the sequence of Fe3+ > Mg2+ > Fe2+. While Mg2+, Fe2+ and Fe3+ are the main metal ions on the surface of clinochlore, and Fe2+ is the unique metal ions on pyrite surface. This is the reason of the selectivity of the yeast dextran depressant for pyrite/clinochlore flotation system. The flotation results demonstrated that yeast dextran was qualified to selectively depress clinochlore in pyrite flotation.

Opis:
High-frequency resonance is a prominent phenomenon which affects the normal operation of the high-speed railway in China. Aiming at this problem, the resonance mechanism is analyzed first. Then, model predictive control and selective harmonic elimination pulse-width modulation (MPC-SHEPWM) combined control strategy is proposed, where the harmonics which cause the resonance can be eliminated at the harmonic source. Besides, the MPC is combined to make the current track the reference in transients. The proposed control has the ability to suppress the resonance while has a faster dynamic performance comparing with SHEPWM. Finally, the proposed MPC-SHEPWM is tested in a simulation model of CRH5 (Chinese Railway High-speed), EMUs (electric multiple units) and a traction power supply coupled system, which shows that the proposed MPC-SHEPWM approach can achieve the resonance suppression and shows a better dynamic performance.

This paper presents the possible use for IR spectroscopy to reveal skid marks left by cars equipped with Anti-lock Braking System. Detailed analysis of literature showed that there is no method that can be used in order to investigate this kind of tire marks. Up till now only two techniques have been devised. The first one is Method of Image Refinement which consists of transforming the image from the scene of the accident using dedicated graphics software. Second method includes analysis of traces using a thermal imaging camera. This study presents an innovative approach to the problem. Numerous analyses using IR spectroscopy were conducted to check the suitability of this method. The research performed on a Thermo Scientific FTIR Nicolet iS50 Spectrophotometer with an ATR attachment. 40 samples from 10 different types of asphalt were prepared. Each sample was measured 3 times to create its spectrum. The results were analyzed thoroughly using the dedicated SpectraGryph software. Analysis show that the wavelength which makes the braking marks visible is found within the mid-infrared range. Finally, it was found wavelength in which skid marks should be visible. This range is located in the mid-infrared.

Peptidylarginine deiminase (PAD) catalyzes the post-translational modification of protein through the conversion of arginine to citrulline in the presence of calcium ions. Human, similar to rodents, has four isoforms of PAD (type I, II, III and IV/V), each of which is distinct in substrate specificity and tissue specific expression. In our large-scale sequencing project, we identified a new human PAD cDNA from a human fetal brain cDNA library. The putative protein encoded by this cDNA is designated hPADVI. Expression analysis of hPADVI showed that it is mainly expressed in adult human ovary and peripheral blood leukocytes. We conclude that hPADVI may be orthologous to mouse ePAD, basing on sequence comparison, chromosome localization and exon-intron structure analysis. PAD-mediated deimination of epithelial cell keratin resulting in cytoskeletal remodeling suggests a possible role for hPADVI in cytoskeletal reorganization in the egg and in early embryo development. This study describes a new important member of the human PAD family.

The aim of the present study was to identify differences in the proximate composition, amino acid composition and expression of the muscle growth-related genes myogenic determining factor (MyoD) and myostatin (MSTN) in muscle between diploid and triploid female rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) that were reared under the same conditions. The research included two different ages (12- and 16-month) of diploid and triploid rainbow trout. The lipid and protein contents of the triploid fish were significantly higher while their moisture content was significantly lower than those of the diploid fish. The amino acid compositions of the proteins of both diploid and triploid rainbow trout were well balanced. The percentages of total amino acids (WTAA), essential amino acids (WEAA), non-essential amino acids (WNEAA) and delicious amino acids were similar between the triploid and diploid fish. The WEAA to WTAA and WEAA to WNEAA indices were comparable to the reference values of nearly 40% and above 60%, respectively, recommended by the FAO/WHO. According to the amino acid scores, phenylalanine can be described as the first limiting amino acid, and the sum of methionine and cysteine represented the highest protein score in both diploid and triploid rainbow trout. MyoD1 mRNA expression was higher in triploid fish, while MSTN2 mRNA expression was higher in diploid fish. The growth potential was greater in triploid fish than in diploid fish. This study shows that both diploid and triploid rainbow trout are good protein sources; triploid rainbow trout is under further investigation due to presenting higher, balanced nutritional quality and better growth than the diploid fish.

The effective flotation separation of sulfides and sliming silicate minerals is always a difficult problem. In this paper, the selective flotation of arsenopyrite from muscovite was studied by using sodium phytate (SP) as dispersant, and the mechanism was investigated through SEM/EDS, zeta potential, FTIR and XPS measurements. Single mineral flotation results showed that with the increasing isoamyl xanthate (IAX) dosage the recovery of arsenopyrite increased, until 8×10−5 mol/L IAX (79.40% recovery, pH=7), after that it decreased slightly. While muscovite floated poorly at any IAX concentration. For the mixed minerals, arsenopyrite recovery was only 54.63% while that of muscovite was 42.70%, which was attributed to the coverage of muscovite on arsenopyrite surface. When 6×10−5 mol/L SP was added into the mixed minerals system, the recovery of arsenopyrite recovered to 68.26% while that of muscovite was 8.48% (approximate the value of the single mineral). SEM/EDS results showed that SP could disperse muscovite and prevented its coverage on arsenopyrite surface. Zeta potential results showed that the electrokinetic potential of muscovite and arsenopyrite decrease from -26.60mV to -39.01 mV and from -26.90 mV to -27.84 mV at pH=7, respectively. It was obvious that the negatively charged phytate ions selectively adsorbed on the surface of muscovite. FTIR and XPS resulted co-proved the chemisorption of SP with active sites on muscovite while arsenopyrite spectrum did not change significantly, which was consistent with flotation and zeta potential results. The selective adsorption of SP on muscovite compared to arsenopyrite was responsible for the effective separation of them.

This study investigated the nitrogen removal performance in wetland microcosms individually planted with different plant monocultures, including emergent, free-floating and submerged plants during ammonia removals, or large- and small-leaf free-floating plants during nitrate removal. For ammonia-dominated wastewater, both emergent (common reed) and free-floating (water hyacinth) plants in wetland microcosms achieved higher total nitrogen removals than a submerged plant (eelgrass) that significantly improved the microbial nitrifying performance. For nitrate-dominated wastewater, efficient nitrate removals in wetland microcosms planted with free-floating plant were achieved by both a full cover of water surface and the concentration of organic oxygen-consuming substances, which resulted in low dissolved oxygen levels and boosted microbial denitrification in wetland microcosms. FWS-CW developers and managers should thus pay close attention to the selection of wetland plant types and optimize their design to achieve optimum nitrogen removal performance.

The effect of particle size on flotation performance of hematite and quartz was investigated. Microflotation, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis, reagent adsorption measurements, and collision and attachment probability calculation between particle and bubble were conducted in this investigation. The results showed that the floatability of minerals with different particle size fractions was different, which was mainly related to surface bonding site, reagent adsorption, collision probability and entrainment. The quartz with different particle size had little impact on hematite recovery, but -45 μm fraction negatively affected Fe grade of concentrate both in the direct and reverse flotation of hematite. In the direct flotation, the Fe grade in froth product dropped off due to the fine quartz entrainment. While in the reverse flotation, the Fe grade in sink product dropped off as a result of difficulty in floating fine quartz particles, which was due to lower collision probability. Meanwhile, in the reverse flotation, the presence of hematite fines (-18 μm fraction) also had negative impact on hematite recovery because of fine particle entrainment.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is an important medicinal and aromatic plant. However, the application of lavender essential oil (LEO) is limited by its instability, low solubility and high volatility. Therefore, to improve the stabilities and antioxidant activities of LEO and thereby expand the applications, LEO was microencapsulated by metal-organic frameworks based on β-cyclodextrin and potassium cation (K-βCD-MOFs) with different mass core/wall ratios. The results showed that the best inclusion rate was 96.67% with the ratio of 1:10. Then, the optimum inclusion product was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The thermal and pH stabilities and the intracellular antioxidant activities were also studied. The results showed that the stabilities of the oil with K-βCD-MOFs inclusions and their abilities to resist acid and alkali were significantly stronger than those of LEO itself. In addition, the intracellular antioxidant activities of LEO were also enhanced by the K-βCD-MOFs inclusion. These results suggested the potential of K-βCD-MOFs as carriers for essential oils in food industry applications.

A theoretical formula for large-diameter rock-socket depth is developed to support pail embedding in a large bridge pile foundation project. There is a horizontal additional stress concentration at the place where the soil around the rock-socketed pile meets the soil layer under the horizontal load. When the rock-socketed tip stress and bending moment of the pile are relatively small, the pile shows favourable embedment effect and the pile foundation can be considered safe. The function curve of soil resistance around the pile under the action of horizontal force was obtained by finite element analysis. The force characteristics reveal the depth of the largediameter rock-socketed pile under the horizontal load. As the rock-socketed pile rotates under the action of horizontal force, the rock mass resistance around the pile changes according to the cosine. The distribution of pileside soil resistance is proportional to the displacement and distributed according to the sine. A comprehensive correction coefficient of pile shaft resistance β is introduced to deduce the theoretical formula of the depth hr of the large-diameter rock-socketed pile embedded in the bedrock. It is verified through both experiments and numerical analysis.

Objectives The authors used the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and general health questionnaire to analyze the factors influencing the mental health status and the workload of support nurses during the COVID-19 epidemic. Material and Methods The authors conducted a cross-sectional survey of 349 support nurses in April–October 2022. Using QuestionStar, a powerful online survey tool, the authors administered surveys to the participants, collected data on the mental health status and workload of support nurses, and analyzed the influencing factors based on the collected data. Results A total of 316 questionnaires were successfully collected, with an effective rate of 98.75%. The proportion of support nurses with mental health problems was 25% and the value of the NASA-TLX questionnaire was: M±SD 68.91±7.28 pts. Multi-factor analysis revealed that the number of children, family support, and nursing support location were the influencing factors of mental health status, while the multivariate analysis revealed that the presence of symptoms, nursing support location, support work type, and total 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) score were the influencing factors of the workload of support nurses. Conclusions Compared to their counterparts in the plains, nurses working in isolated plateau regions who were caring for children and lacked family support, were more likely to have mental health issues. There was a positive correlation between the changes in GHQ-12 and NASA-TLX scores of the study participants. Compared to their counterparts in the plains and the tropical regions, nurses working in plateau regions had a heavier workload. As part of the follow-up measures to prevent and treat patients impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, it is important to improve the mental health evaluation, consultation, and treatment of the support nurses to guarantee the high quality of the first-line support work.

Opis:
In order to meet the lightweight requirements of high-speed trains, the inductancecapacitance (LC) resonance circuits are cancelled in the traction drive system of some high-speed electric multiple units (EMUs) in China, which will lead to large low-order current harmonics on the grid side in the traction drive system of EMUs, seriously affecting the power quality. Therefore, the low-order harmonic current of the traction drive system of an EMU is studied in this paper. Firstly, the working principle of a four-quadrant pulse rectifier in a traction drive system is analyzed, and then the generation mechanism of loworder current harmonics on the grid side is studied deeply. Secondly, the voltage outer loop and current inner loop control of a four-quadrant pulse rectifier are optimized respectively. In the voltage outer loop control, a Butterworth filter is designed to suppress the beat frequency voltage of the DC side voltage, so as to indirectly suppress the low-order current harmonics. In the current inner loop, a quasi-proportional resonance (PR) controller with harmonic compensation is used to suppress low-order current harmonics, and a novel loworder current harmonics suppression strategy based on the Butterworth filter and quasi-PR controller is proposed. Finally, the results of the simulated validation of the proposed control strategy show that compared with the existing method of the notch filter ₊ PR controller, the proposed optimal control strategy has a better effect on low-order current harmonic suppression, and improves the dynamic performance of the control system, further showing the correctness and effectiveness of the optimal control strategy.

To improve the power quality of a multi-pulse rectifier, a zigzag 18-pulse uncontrolled rectifier with an auxiliary circuit at the DC side is proposed. When the grid-side currents are sinusoidal waves, the required DC side injection currents to be compensated can be obtained by analyzing the AC-DC side relationship of diode bridge rectifiers. Then the 6 compensation currents generated by an active auxiliary circuit are injected into the DC side to eliminate the grid-side harmonics of the rectifier. The simulation results verifying the correctness of the theoretical analysis show that the proposed rectifier can mitigate the harmonic content, as the total harmonic distortion of the grid-side current is about 1.45%. In addition, the single-phase inverter used in the active auxiliary circuit has the characters of simple circuit structure and easy controllability.
