Analog circuits need more effective fault diagnosis methods. In this study, the fault diagnosis method of analog circuits was studied. The fault feature vectors were extracted by a wavelet transform and then classified by a generalized regression neural network (GRNN). In order to improve the classification performance, a wolf pack algorithm (WPA) was used to optimize the GRNN, and a WPA-GRNN diagnosis algorithm was obtained. Then a simulation experiment was carried out taking a Sallen–Key bandpass filter as an example. It was found from the experimental results that the WPA could achieve the preset accuracy in the eighth iteration and had a good optimization effect. In the comparison between the GRNN, genetic algorithm (GA)-GRNN and WPA-GRNN, the WPA-GRNN had the highest diagnostic accuracy, and moreover it had high accuracy in diagnosing a single fault than multiple faults, short training time, smaller error, and an average accuracy rate of 91%. The experimental results prove the effectiveness of the WPA-GRNN in fault diagnosis of analog circuits, which can make some contributions to the further development of the fault diagnosis of analog circuits.

Opis:
A novel feature extraction method has been proposed to improve the accuracy of the pineapple ripeness classification process. The methodology consists of six stages, namely: image acquisition, image pre-processing, color extraction, feature selection, classification and evaluation of results. The red element in the RGB model is selected as the threshold value parameter. The ripeness of pineapples is determined based on the percentage share of yellowish scales visible in images presenting the front and the back side of the fruit. The prototype system is capable of classifying pineap ples into three main groups: unripe, ripe, and fully ripe. The accuracy of 86.05% has been achieved during experiments.

The study investigated the learner perceptions of a CALL component in a blended language learning context. 52 Taiwanese college students attended instructional classroom sessions and did weekly online assignments in the form of interactive web-based exercises over one semester. Their learning performance was measured by means of two computer-based language assessments at the mid-point and final part of the semester. Learners’ perceptions of the interactive web-based exercises were elicited by a computerized survey conducted at the end of the semester. The results reported on the survey revealed that participants perceived the interactive web-based exercises as interesting but only modestly so. This was probably attributable to the difficulty level of the created exercises and a lack of diverse exercise formats. Even so, having easy access, receiving immediate feedback, allowing multiple attempts, and enabling self-paced learning were mentioned as benefits of the constructed exercises. More importantly, most participants reported the effectiveness of these exercises in improving their reading comprehension and vocabulary leaning. This confirmed language assessment results that demonstrated significant gains in reading comprehension and vocabulary knowledge. Implications include suggestions for language teachers and program developers for improving the way web-based learning activities are created and implemented.

Opis:
Aiming at the problems of parameter disturbance and coupling disturbance in a vehicle drive axle loading test-bed, this paper used the adaptive backstepping sliding mode control (ABSMC) strategy to design the controller for the speed and torque system. The effectiveness of the controller has been verified by simulation and an experiment. The results show that the equivalent moment of inertia is increased by 5 times, and the step response overshoot of the speed system is 4.1%. By adding a random disturbance, the sinusoidal tracking errors of the speed and torque systems are 0.05 r/min and 0.09Nm, respectively.

Opis:
A two-stage linkage safety valve for hydraulic support is presented. Considering the hydraulic support is impacted, dynamic simulation of the column circuit with the two-stage safety valve subject impact loading was carried out, and the dynamic characteristics of the two- -stage safety valve with different impact forms were studied. A rapid impact loading test rig was built to test the two-stage safety valve sample under impact loading. Simulation and experimental results indicate that the two-stage safety valve has high sensitivity and good unloading performance, it can realize fast and large flow unloading of the hydraulic support under different impact forms and pressures.

Opis:
A novel approach for the measurement of information content of light field on the image plane illuminated by an incoherent light source has been proposed according to Shannon’s information theory. We put forward a hypothetical concept named "coherent wavelet source" on an incoherent light source which can form an independent coherent signal on the object surface based on the expression of mutual intensity on the object surface. As a result, the number of independent coherent signals on the object surface can be made out by dividing the whole illumination source on a coherent wavelet source size. Meanwhile, the maximum number of degree of freedom of light field which can reach the image plane is given based on the structure of imaging system. Concrete algorithm for the information content of the imaging light illuminated by a 1D linear light source and a 2D circular light source are presented.

With new sulphur oxides emission limits carried out in 2020, multiple desulphurisation methods have been proposed. The main desulphurisation scrubber systems were chosen and investigated using life cycle assessment. The whole system life is divided into the construction and operational phases. Three different systems classified by desulphurisers, namely, seawater, NaOH, and Mg-based systems, were modelled in GaBi software. Moreover, environmental, economic and energy aspects (3E model) were introduced for further analysis. Through this study, some conclusions have been drawn. As for the environmental aspect, the seawater system has the most pleasing performance since the primary emissions come from 1.24E+03 kg CO2 and 1.48E+01 kg chloride. The NaOH system causes 1000 times more emissions than the seawater. The Mg-based system has less pollution than the NaOH system, with 5.86E+06kg CO2 and 3.86E+03 kg chloride. The economic aspect is divided into capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) to estimate disbursement. The seawater system also has the most favourable cost appearance, which takes 1.7 million dollars without extra desulphuriser expenses, based on 10MW engine flue gas treatment. The next is the Mg-based system, which cost 2 million dollars in CapEx and $ 1200/year in OpEx for the desulphuriser. NaOH uses about 2.5 million dollars for construction and $ 30000/year in desulphuriser. As for the energy aspect, the seawater and Mg-based systems use less non-renewable energy than the NaOH system in the construction phase. In conclusion, the seawater system shows the best performance and could be an alternative in SOx control technologies. This study sheds light on the comprehensive evaluation of marine environmental protection technologies for further optimisation.

Aiming at the problem of “entrainment fine particles in underflow” of hydrocyclone in grinding and classification process, a hydrocyclone with spiral vanes (the SV hydrocyclone) was proposed. The CFD techniques were used to study the pressure field, velocity field, turbulence field, particle field and classification efficiency of hydrocyclones with spiral vanes of different widths. The results show that the pressure drop, axial velocity, tangential velocity, turbulence intensity of SV hydrocyclone are reduced in different degrees compared with conventional hydrocyclone, and the reduction becomes more obvious with the increase of vane width. In the case of a vane width of 0.04D, the underflow recovery rate of 5μm and 10μm fine particles was reduced by 16.2% and 15.7%. The selection of spiral vanes with small widths is beneficial to improve the separation accuracy of fine particles and reduce the cut particle size.

Maintaining clean and pristine nature is the key to the use of super clean coal (SCC) for coal-based materials or energy combustion. Herein, SCC is prepared by a new water-only cyclone method, and compared the surface characteristics with the SCC products obtained by conventional chemical deashing method. The results indicate that: FTIR analysis revealed that the chemical method changed the original functional group of coal; BET analysis revealed that the SCC products prepared by the water-only method maintained the micropore volume of the raw coal and yielded a uniform and concentrated distribution of pore sizes, however, the chemical method destroying the original pore structure in the coal; SEM-EDS analysis indicated that the surface of SCC particles that were deashed using the water-only cyclone method was smooth and neat, whereas those obtained using the chemical method were seriously corroded, had a rough surface, and the SCC particles were prone to acid residues and precipitates. This study opens an innovative, simple, and clean method for the preparation of SCC, which further expands and enhances the potential application value of SCC.

This article introduces the study of peripheral clamping for large-aperture laser mirrors in high power laser facilities. Some multi-point clamping schemes were experimentally tested, the results of the experiments show that these schemes cannot meet the technical requirements, and in the simulation analysis, we explain the reason for this phenomenon. It is concluded that the additional bending moment caused by the non-ideal process factors in the multi-point clamping is the main cause for the surface distortion. Based on the above conclusions, we carried out research on minor-point clamping. Experimental verification of the minor-point clamping were done, the results show that the minor-point clamping can meet the requirements of technical indicators in whole process. This work can provide a reference for the design of the large-aperture transport mirror clamping structure, which may be used in huge laser devices and telescopes.

Objectives Objectives: Cigarette smoking is the major risk factor of bladder cancer via exposure to chemical carcinogens. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP+): quinine oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) and sulfotransferase 1A1 (SULT1A1) have been reported to involve in the metabolism of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and aromatic amines. Therefore, the risk of bladder cancer (BC) may be influenced by polymorphisms in the genes that modulate metabolic detoxification in particular by interacting with cigarette smoking. Considering the limited power by the individual studies with a relatively small sample size, especially when analyzing the combined effect of polymorphisms in NQO1 and SULT1A1 genes and smoking, these 2 meta-analyses have aimed to clarify the combined effects of them on BC risk by integrating related studies. Material and Methods Two meta-analyses included 1341 cases and 1346 controls concerning NQO1 Pro187Ser and smoking, and 1921 cases and 1882 controls on SULT1A1 Arg213His and smoking were performed. Odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were used for assessing the strength of the association. Results The result has demonstrated that smokers with NQO1 Pro/Ser or Ser/Ser genotypes have a prominent association with the risk of BC as compared with non-smokers with NQO1 Pro/Pro genotype, with OR equal to 3.71 (95% CI: 2.87–4.78, $ \text{p}_\text{heterogeneity} $ = 0.376). Besides, smokers carrying SULT1A1 Arg/Arg genotypes were observed to confer 2.38 fold increased risk of BC (95% CI: 1.44–3.93, $ \text{p}_\text{heterogeneity} $ = 0.001) when compared with non-smokers with SULT1A1 Arg/Arg or His/His genotypes. Conclusions These findings have suggested that the NQO1 Pro187Ser or SULT1A1 Arg213His polymorphism combination with smoking significantly confer susceptibility to BC. Weightlessness is an extreme environment that can cause a series of adaptive changes in the human body. Findings from real and simulated weightlessness indicate altered cardiovascular functions, such as reduction in left ventricular (LV) mass, cardiac arrhythmia, reduced vascular tone and so on. These alterations induced by weightlessness are detrimental to the health, safety and working performance of the astronauts, therefore it is important to study the effects of weightlessness on the cardiovascular functions of humans. The cardiovascular functional alterations caused by weightlessness (including long-term spaceflight and simulated weightlessness) are briefly reviewed in terms of the cardiac and peripheral vascular functions. The alterations include: changes of shape and mass of the heart; cardiac function alterations; the cardiac arrhythmia; lower body vascular regulation and upper body vascular regulation. A series of conclusions are reported, some of which are analyzed, and a few potential directions are presented.

The joint clearance can be the mainly concern factor in the analysis of repeatability of positioning for a manipulator. Traditionally, the joint clearance is empirically assumed to be uniform or normal variables. This hasty treatment may be not accurate enough when the precise statistic information of variables cannot be obtained. To handle the reliability evaluation problem with arbitrarily distributed joint clearances, a moment-matching based method is proposed. The highly nonlinear performance function is firstly established by the forward kinematics and then a second order Taylor expansion is performed on this function for the order reduction. Based on the maximum entropy principle, the Lagrange multipliers method is employed to derive a best-fit probability density function (PDF) with consideration of the first four moments-matching restrictions. This study shows that the prosed method can acquire a better accuracy and efficiency compared with the first order second moment method (FOSM), first order reliability method (FORM) and Monte Carlo simulation (MCS). A serial manipulator is applied as an example to demonstrate the new method.
Luzy na przegubie manipulatora mogą stanowić główny czynnik wpływający na analizę powtarzalności pozycjonowania manipulatora. Tradycyjnie przyjmuje się empirycznie podbudowane założenie, że luz na przegubie jest zmienną jednorodną lub normalną. Takie ujęcie może jednak nie być wystarczająco dokładne w przypadku, gdy nie można uzyskać precyzyjnych informacji statystycznych na temat zmiennych. Aby rozwiązać problem oceny niezawodności przy dowolnie rozłożonych luzach na przegubie, zaproponowano metodę opartą na dopasowywaniu momentów. W pierwszej kolejności, obliczono za pomocą kinematyki prostej, wysoce nieliniową funkcję stanu granicznego, a następnie wyznaczono szereg Taylora drugiego rzędu dla tej funkcji w celu obniżenia rzędu. Opierając się na zasadzie maksymalnej entropii, zastosowano metodę mnożników Lagrange'a w celu wyprowadzenia najlepiej dopasowanej funkcji gęstości prawdopodobieństwa (PDF) z uwzględnieniem pierwszych czterech ograniczeń dopasowania momentów. Badanie to pokazuje, że przedstawiona metoda pozwala uzyskać wyższą trafność i skuteczność niż metoda pierwszego rzędu drugiego momentu (FOSM), metoda analizy niezawodności pierwszego rzędu (FORM) czy symulacja Monte Carlo (MCS). Zastosowanie nowej metody zilustrowano na przykładzie manipulatora szeregowego.

Basing on the analytical mechanics methods, the Lagrangian equations of thin elastic rod is constructed. The definition of conformal invariance for the Lagrange mechanics of elastic rod is given. The criterions that conformal invariance of elastic rod is the Lie symmetry are obtained based on the Lie point transformation group. The structure equation and conserved quantity deduced from conformal invariance of elastic rod are constructed. Take twist rod as an example to illustrate the application of the results got in this paper.

Opis:
We seek for an oscillating center solution of the wave function satisfying the Schrödinger equation for a nonrelativistic charge particle in an arbitrary external field, where the oscillating center of physical system is a motion governing by a guidance formula of the classical mechanics and at the same time, the physical system obeys the rule of quantum mechanics. In terms of our approach, one enables to know how quantum process may actually come about. The results are applied to analyze the Landau level. We explain successfully that the orbit of oscillator center for the Landau level is circle.
