Celem doświadczenia była ocena wartości gospodarczej nowych odmian kukurydzy cukrowej oraz określenie ich przydatności na potrzeby zarówno przemysłu przetwórczego jak i bezpośredniej konsumpcji. Doświadczenie przeprowadzono w ZDD Swadzim w latach 2008–2010. W każdym roku badań określono długość okresu wegetacji (dni), plon kolb (t/ha), udział kolb I klasy (%), długość kolb (cm) oraz liczbę ziaren w kolbie (szt.). Przydatność badanych odmian dla kierunków użytkowania określono za pomocą sumy punktów dziewięciostopniowej skali w odniesieniu do określonych cech. Wykazano, iż na potrzeby przetwórstwa można polecić odmiany GSS 5698, Passion oraz Golda, natomiast mieszańce szczególnie nadające się do bezpośredniego spożycia to Royalty oraz Passion.
The aim was to assess the yield of experience and length of growing new varieties of sweet corn and to determine their suitability for processing and for direct consumption. The experience was conducted in the E-DS Swadzim in the period 2008–2010. In each year of research it was examined the length of the growth period (days), cobs yield (t/ha), share of first class cobs (%), cobs length (cm) and number of grains in the cob (pcs). The economic value of examined varieties was described with the help of the sum of points nine-steps of scale. It was found that among the examined hybrids of processing can be recommended cultivar GSS 5698, Passion and Golda, while hybrids are particularly suitable for direct consumption is Royalty and Passion.

This article presents the results of research conducted on the research sample of N=388 teachers in rural secondary schools. The aim of the research was to answer the problems concerning knowledge and activities undertaken by teachers in rural secondary schools in the prevention of the phenomenon of cyberbullying. The method used in this study was diagnostic survey. The research technique was individual, categorized interview, based on the author’s interview questionnaire. The collected data shows that educational classes are the most popular preventive actions organized in secondary schools in rural areas on the safety of children and young people in the Web. As part of preventive actions, the majority of teachers take the conversations with students to raise their awareness in the area of the dangers associated with the use of the Web. Analyses flow requests that the level of knowledge of the actions and initiatives organized by the institutions, especially the local environment, as well as the level of knowledge of websites and telephone hotlines among teachers in rural secondary schools is low. Such a low level of knowledge will translate into the quality of preventive measures implemented by teachers, especially in the aspect of information strategy.

This article presents selected information regarding sensory integra-tion dysfunctions in early childhood autism. The article characterizes the role and functions of the vestibular, proprioceptive and tactile systems. It also proposes a selection of exercises that may be used to stimulate and stabilize the vestibular-proprioceptive system.
Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje wybrane informacje dotyczące dys-funkcji procesów integracji sensorycznej w autyzmie wczesnodziecięcym. Purpose: The aim of this paper is to reconstruct the knowledge and approach of young people to the issue of social entrepreneurship as an area of activity important for shaping key competences in the New Economy. The additional aim of the paper is to describe the feeling of readiness of young people to act as an agent, both in relation to society and this economy. Design/methodology/approach: To achieve this goal, a diagnostic study was carried out (based on the so-called task catalogue) with a group of over 500 students studying at vocational schools, high schools and technical colleges in Greater Poland, as well as 3 workshops with students representing particular types of schools. Findings: The research established that students are aware of the possibility of participation in the social world through the broadly understood social entrepreneurship and activity in the third sector. It was also established that they are very aware of the possibilities and the need for agency in this area. The discussed resources of students translate into competences necessary in the New Economy. Research limitations/implications: Contemporary research with adolescents requires taking into account a number of factors that may affect their course. In more extensive research, these issues will certainly be worth considering already at the stage of conceptualization of the research and construction of research tools. Practical implications: Social entrepreneurship of young people is constantly transforming and although its subject is changing (from activities related to shared management to activities related to social solidarity and civic attitudes), it invariably refers to joint activities on the border of economic and social reality. The approach of young people to the implementation of socially useful tasks is also changing. Young people see them as an opportunity both to solve social problems and to meet the challenges related to changes in the postmodern world. Social implications: The competences gained by young people make them more aware and engaged citizens, but also more aware and responsible future participants of the New Economy. Originality/value: The paper reconstructs the resources, approach and attitudes of young people towards the possibilities of agency offered by social entrepreneurship. The collected knowledge was analysed on the basis of the competence challenges posed by the New Economy for the New Generation project.

Social entrepreneurship is constituted of various market initiatives aimed at balancing the economic objective achieved with the so-called social goals. These initiatives are both top-down (e.g. non-for-profit companies established as a result of public-private partnerships), mixed (e.g. student co-operatives supported by enterprises) and bottom-up (e.g. social co-operatives of natural persons). The phenomenon of social entrepreneurship is located in the area of social economy considerations, although it seems to go beyond the framework set for this area of knowledge. This means that social enterprises do not submit to the commonly used economic accounts of the functioning of business entities. It also means that the measurement of the (social) value of their functioning is subject to constant discussion, both in the area of scientific knowledge and socio-economic practice. Social enterprises operating in rural areas constitute a special type of social economy entities. In addition to tasks related to economic activity and the function of stimulating social capital of Polish villages, they seem to fulfil important tasks in the area of strengthening the transformation of Polish villages to modernity, both on the level of management and social activity. The paper presents the issue of social enterprises as an actual and potential tool to support the development of Polish rural areas. This issue is considered in the context of the theory of social costs, assuming the interdependence of all activities carried out in the so-called common space, and the theory of social capital, according to which the “thicker” the network of social relations is, including the economic ones, the more the quality of life increases. Reference is also made to the original model of the Matrix of Social Enterprises, on the foundation of which the Matrix of Social Enterprises in Rural Areas is described. As a result of the conducted research, selected manifestations of social entrepreneurship of Polish villages are identified and described based on the Matrix of Social Entrepreneurship, both in the context of their historically rooted traditions, economic and social conditions and culture-forming functions. The paper formulates conclusions regarding the growing importance of social entrepreneurship for Polish countryside, especially with regard to the ability to create labor demand, market cooperation and social capital thickening. There was also formulated a positive assessment of the impact of social entrepreneurship on the contemporary rural areas.
Przedsiębiorczość społeczna to zbiór różnych inicjatyw rynkowych zakładających zrównoważenie osiąganego celu ekonomicznego z tzw. celami społecznymi. Inicjatywy te mają zarówno charakter odgórny (np. spółki non for profit zawiązane w wyniku partnerstw publiczno-prywatnych), mieszany (np. spółdzielnie uczniowskie prowadzone w szkołach i wspierane przez przedsiębiorstwa) jak i oddolny (np. spółdzielnie socjalne osób fizycznych). Zjawisko przedsiębiorczości społecznej jest umiejscawiane w obszarze rozważań ekonomii społecznej, choć zdaje się ono wykraczać poza wyznaczone dla tej dziedziny wiedzy ramy. Oznacza to, że przedsiębiorstwa społeczne nie poddają się powszechnie stosowanemu rachunkowi ekonomicznemu funkcjonowania podmiotów gospodarczych. Oznacza to, także że pomiar wartości dodanej (społecznej) ich funkcjonowania podlega ciągłej dyskusji, tak w obszarze wiedzy naukowej, jak i praktyki społeczno-gospodarczej. Przedsiębiorstwa społeczne funkcjonujące na obszarach wiejskich stanowią szczególny rodzaj podmiotów gospodarki społecznej. Prócz zadań związanych z aktywnością ekonomiczną oraz funkcji pobudzania kapitału społecznego polskich wsi zdają się one pełnić ważną zadania w zakresie wzmacniania transformacji polskich wsi do nowoczesności, zarówno na płaszczyźnie gospodarowania, jak i aktywności społecznej. W artykule przedstawiona została kwestia przedsiębiorstw społecznych jako faktycznych i potencjalnych narzędzi wspierania rozwoju polskich wsi. Kwestię tę rozpatrzono w perspektywie teorii kosztów społecznych, zakładających współzależność wszelkich działań realizowanych w tzw. przestrzeni wspólnej oraz teorii kapitału społecznego, w myśl której im „gęstsza” staje się sieć relacji społecznych, w tym ekonomicznych, tym bardziej wzrasta jakość życia. Odniesiono się także do autorskiego modelu Macierzy przedsiębiorstw społecznych, na którego podbudowie opisana została macierz przedsiębiorstw społecznych obszarów wiejskich. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań dokonano identyfikacji i opisu wybranych przejawów przedsiębiorczości społecznej polskich wsi opartych na Macierzy przedsiębiorczości społecznej, zarówno w kontekście ich historycznie zakorzenionych tradycji, uwarunkowań gospodarczych i społecznych oraz funkcji kulturotwórczej. W artykule sformułowane zostały wnioski dotyczące rosnącego znaczenia przedsiębiorczości społecznej dla polskiej wsi, szczególnie w odniesieniu do zdolności tworzenia popytu na pracę, kooperacji rynkowej i zagęszczania kapitału społecznego. Sformułowana została także pozytywna ocena wpływu przedsiębiorczości społecznej na współczesną wieś.

Kategoria retradycjonalizacji stanowi przyczynek do dyskusji o kondycji rodzimej ekonomii społecznej (ES) – o tym, jak inspiracje historyczne, obok wymogów instytucjonalnych, budują jej nowoczesną formułę. Celem artykułu jest analiza ES przez pryzmat zjawiska zwrotu w stronę tradycyjnych form kooperacji i współpracy gospodarczej, a oparta została ona na przykładzie tradycji i funkcjonowania spółdzielni uczniowskich. Empiryczna baza tekstu to analiza treści (dane ilościowe i jakościowe), badanie sondażowe skierowane do szkół podstawowych, gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych z terenu miasta Poznania oraz pogłębione wywiady swobodne (zrealizowane w latach 2015–2017). Główną tezą artykułu jest natomiast zwrócenie uwagi na przydatność retradycjonalizacji jako ważnej kategorii poznawczej i analitycznej w ES oraz fenomenu ukazującego jej podstawowy sens.
The retraditionalisation is a useful tool to Polish social economy (SE) analysis. The aim of this paper is emphasizing the “traditional turn” in nowadays ES. To achieve this goal an example of the tradition and functioning of student cooperatives is used. Content analysis (quantitative and qualitative data), a survey with primary, secondary and post-gymnasium schools from the area of Poznan and individual in-depth interviews was conducted in the years 2015-2017. Celem doświadczenia była ocena reakcji nowych odmian kukurydzy cukrowej na stosowanie mieszaniny mezotrion + S-metolachlor. Badania przeprowadzono w latach 2007–2009 w ZDD Gorzyń, filia Swadzim. Przebadano dziesięć odmian kukurydzy cukrowej — Basin, Dixon, Garrison, Golda, GSS 5022, Rana, Shaker, Shimmer, Sweet Trophy oraz Sweet Tasty. Zabieg herbicydem wykonano w fazie 5–6 liści kukurydzy cukrowej. Określono plon kolb (t/ha), udział kolb I klasy (%), długość kolb (cm), liczbę kolb z hektara (szt.) oraz liczbę ziaren w kolbie (szt.). Stwierdzono przemijające fitotoksyczne działanie herbicydu u trzech badanych odmian. Mieszanina mezotrion + S-metolachlor wpłynęła na obniżenie plonu ośmiu odmian, zmniejszenie udziału kolb I klasy u siedmiu odmian, długość kolb u sześciu odmian oraz liczbę kolb zebranych z hektara u dziewięciu odmian, nie miała jednak istotnego wpływu na liczbę ziaren w kolbie.
The aim was to evaluate reaction of new varieties of sugar maize to a mixture of mesotrione + S-metolachlor. The study was conducted in 2007–2009 in Experimental Station in Swadzim on ten varieties of sugar maize Basin, Dixon, Garrison, Golda, GSS 5022, Rana, Shaker, Shimmer, Sweet Trophy and Sweet Tasty. Herbicide spraying was performed in the 5–6 leaf stage of maize. In each year of research the cob yield (t/ha), cobs from ha (pcs), class participation (%), cobs length (cm) and number of grains in the cobs (pcs) were examined. There was found transient phytotoxic action of the herbicide in three varieties. A mixture of mesotrione + S-metolachlor reduced the yield in eight varieties, I class cobs yield in seven varieties, cobs length in six varieties and the number of cobs per ha in nine varieties, but had no significant effect on the number of grains in cob.

Due to the growing interest in the field of social economy and the increasing popularity of social entrepreneurship, these areas of theoretical knowledge and economical practice are constantly a subject of new analyses. The dominant classification of social enterprises is the division into the old and new social economy. These propositions do not cover all existing forms of social enterprises in Poland. The aim of the article is to present an alternative proposal of division in social economy focused on the social functions of its entities – social enterprises. The proposed solution serves to fulfil the dominant discourse of the social economy in new ways of thinking about the reasons and motivations connected with creating social enterprises. The proposed Matrix of social enterprises creates a possibility to describe (and understand better) the manifestations of this social and economic phenomenon. The presented conclusions were considered in the light of Piotr Sztompka’s social capital theory and the theory of social cost.

The research was attended by 41 qualified teachers, working in randomly selected primary schools in the Silesian Voivodship. Research explains that teachers who work in friendship-based relationships engage in collaborative teamwork more often. Assuming that the professional activities carried out in the structure of cooperation and cooperation bring the expected effects and contribute to the effective implementation of teaching and learning objectives, the conclusions of the study indicate that the emphasis should be placed on proper care, based on respect, openness, willingness to help and the kindness of the relations between teachers in the pedagogical circle of professionally active teachers.

Goal – The objective of the paper is to identify the character of the integration of projects realized using EU funds in Bialystok Functional Area (BFA). There was formulated hypothesis which implies that integrated projects constitute the majority of undertakings realized within the instrument of integrated territorial investments (ITI) in BFA. Research methodology – The analysis was based both on the subject literature and data from the institution responsible for the policy of BFA development, i.e. The Association of Bialystok Functional Area on the basis of information included in the SL 2014 system within the research conducted from 20th to 31stJuly 2018. Score – The conducted analysis of integrated projects in BFA showed that they constitute an essential instrument in implementing the adopted development strategy of the functional area when considerable amount of funds is necessary to finance such enterprises. Originality/value – The paper’s value lies in the description and assessment of integrated projects using the example of BFA. It is a new way of conducting the development policy of these areas, which may be the basis for planning the strategy for the subsequent years.

Functional urban areas are becoming increasingly important in urban development policies as a comprehensive approach to solving problems and addressing development goals, not only of cities but also neighboring towns. Integrated territorial investments (ITI) are a new tool of cohesion policies aimed at better achievement of socio-economic development objectives regarding urban functional areas. The purpose of the paper is to assess the use of ITIs in policies for the development of Bialystok Functional Area by analyzing strategic documents, including the Strategy of Integrated Territorial Investments of Bialystok Functional Area for the years 2014-2020. The following research hypothesis has been formulated: the financial resources in ITIs' allocation enable the city to strengthen its cooperation with the neighboring municipalities, mainly in the fields of public transport, investment attractiveness, and human capital.

This article presents the results of own research carried out on a sample of 507 students of Polish universities who, due to the global pandemic situation, carried out their classes at their home university as part of education using remote education methods and techniques. The research was carried out at the turn of March and April 2021 to learn about the reflections of students who, as it can be assumed, have already got used to remote education. The objectives of the research were focused on learning about the methods of delivering lectures, practical, training, and laboratory classes at universities during the pandemic, as well as communication and technology tools that academic teachers used in the process of learning and communicating with students. The research was focused on identifying the level of students’ involvement and motivation in the education process during a pandemic, as well as on the diagnosis of factors that make it difficult for students to learn remotely. The aim of the research was also to find out about the competencies of students, which were developed during remote education, and additionally, the forms of learning preferred by students, enabling the achievement of the assumed didactic goals.
Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań własnych przeprowadzonych na próbie 507 studentów polskich uczelni, którzy z uwagi na światową sytuację pandemiczną realizowali swoje zajęcia w macierzystej uczelni w ramach kształcenia wykorzystującego metody i techniki zdalnej edukacji. Badania przeprowadzone zostały na przełomie marca i kwietnia 2021 roku, celem poznania refleksji studentów, którzy, jak można przypuszczać, oswoili się już z kształceniem realizowanym w trybie zdalnym. W związku z powyższym z badań można wyprowadzić interesujące wnioski, obrazujące zmiany w zakresie realizacji akademickiej dydaktyki zdalnej od momentu, w którym pandemia wybuchła, a władze uczelni i kadra dydaktyczna, jak również sami studenci, nie byli przygotowani do zmian sposobu uczenia się i nauczania, do stanu aktualnego, dokładnie rok po wydarzeniach inicjujących konieczność implementacji nieplanowanych zmian w procesie kształcenia. Cele badań ukierunkowane były na poznanie sposobów realizowania wykładów, zajęć praktycznych, ćwiczeniowych i laboratoryjnych w uczelniach w okresie pandemii, a nadto narzędzi komunikacji i technologii, z których nauczyciele akademiccy korzystali w procesie uczenia i konsultacji ze studentami. Badania zorientowane były na poznanie poziomu zaangażowania i motywacji studentów w proces kształcenia w czasie pandemii, jak również diagnozę czynników utrudniających studentom uczenie się w formie zdalnej. Celem badań było także poznanie kompetencji studentów, które zostały rozwinięte podczas zdalnej edukacji, a dodatkowo preferowanych przez studentów form uczenia się, umożliwiających osiąganie założonych celów dydaktycznych. Zrealizowane badania posłużyły nadto opracowaniu planu ukierunkowanego na implementację koniecznych zmian w procesie realizowania akademickiej dydaktyki zdalnej, dzięki diagnozie istotnych czynników, które w opinii badanych zostały zakwalifikowane jako wymagające udoskonalenia zarówno z perspektywy działań możliwych do wdrożenia przez uczelnię, jak i jednostkowo - przez wykładowców.
