    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nad zachowaniem się płuczek guarowych w różnych warunkach otworopodobnych. Artykuł zawiera ponadto opis i charakterystykę użytej aparatury. Zwrócono uwagę na możliwość powstawania zwiększonego uszkodzenia pierwotnej przepuszczalności strefy przyotworowej w otworach wykonanych przy użyciu guar gum. Opisano mechanizm niszczenia wewnętrznej struktury guar gum, który pozwala na szybkie usunięcie polimerów ze strefy przyotworowej.
    The results of research of guar gum behavior in different well conditions have been presented. This article includes the characteristics of apparatus used in this researches. Mentioned, the possibility of too high formation damage of origin sandstone permeability. Additionally, described the mechanism of damage inner structure of guar which provide to flush the sandstone.

    Opis:
    The article presents the analysis, project, and experimental examination of an original rigid riser for Coil Tubing Pipes. The principle of riser operation is based on the use of friction forces. The research included the FEM analysis of the designed riser, calculations of the required bolt tensions, and checking the effect of the clamping force on stress distribution in the pipeline. The results of computer simulation were verified on a specially designed test rig. The described riser design was implemented on the LOTOS Petrobaltic platform, thus eliminating the need for purchase and installation of expensive elastic risers.

    Opis:
    The article describes the result of theoretical research aimed at assessing the loads and operating conditions of a Coiled Tubing pipeline injecting water, suspended to the mining platform of Lotos Petrobaltic. For this purpose, appropriate calculation models have been developed using the Finite Element Method (FEM), taking into account the nature of the analyzed object and its loads. The analyzes were carried out for two pipes (previously operated and newly proposed) differing in geometrical and strength parameters. The research was carried out for selected directions of load on the pipeline (originating from sea waves) and various variants of attaching the suspended pipeline to the mining platform.

    Opis:
    A simple system for rough estimation of the occupancy of an ad-hoc organized parking lot is presented. A reasonably simple microprocessor hardware with a low resolution monochrome video camera observing the parking lot from the location high above the parking surface is capable of running the proposed 2-D separable discrete wavelet transform (DWT)-based algorithm, reporting the percentage of the observed parking area occupied by cars. A simple calibration is needed – the mask covering all the areas outside the parking lot must be prepared. The proposed system has been tested on the dedicated FPGA-based hardware in real conditions and proven immune to scene and light changes. As it is discussed in the paper, it can be used in low-power wireless sensor networks.
