V rámci riešenia projektu KEGA „023UKF-4/2012 Využívanie prostriedkov IKT na podporu nového štátneho vzdelávacieho programu ISCED 1 – Primárne vzdelávanie v predmete Pracovné vyučovanie“ riešitelia projektu vypracovali elektronickú učebnicu s názvom „Elektronická učebnica z pracovného vyučovania pre učiteľov primárneho vzdelávania“. Elektronická učebnica je navrhnutá pre učiteľov ako odborný učebný text pre predmet pracovné vyučovanie, vyučovaný v 4. ročníku základnej školy. Jej tvorba a obsah je kľúčovým prvkom príspevku.
Within the project KEGA “023UKF-4/2012 The use of ICT to support the new state education ISCED 1 – Primary education teaching in the subject Technology education” project participants developed an electronic textbook titled “Electronic textbook of teaching technology education for teachers of primary education”. Electronic textbook is designed for teachers as a professional teaching text for the subject technology education, taught in the fourth year of primary school. Its creation and content is a key element of the contribution.

Opis:
Business, economy and finance are very popular subject-matters in the contemporary world. This is why it is important to introduce them, step by step, from an early age. “Pocket money”, as well as allowing a child to be involved in the family’s financial affairs, seems to be necessary for preparing children to develop their management skills which will be useful in their future, adult life. A child ought to know the value of money and possess some ability to apply it. Children gain such rudimentary knowledge on the basis of interaction with the social environment and everyday experience, through participating in economic exchange purchase-sale, witnessing the withdrawal of money from a cash machine by relatives, using the post office, etc. However, it is a teacher’s duty to help children increase and systematize this knowledge in a process of early childhood education. The skills gained by children during the schooling will help them in the future. They will become responsible participants in economic life, making both rational choices and decisions which will affect positively their chance to gain success in personal and professional life.

Opis:
Modern teaching aids are part of the daily education process. Children, pupils use them to deepen the acquired knowledge. A teacher tries to alternate the teaching methods in an interesting way. The Bee-bot, a didactic toy, has been used in education for several years. The teacher decides at what intervals and in which subject he or she can use the Bee-bot. In this article we present one of a group of micro-outputs. Here we used a heuristic method, a method of discovery and observation. Also, we used the cooperation in the application of a robotic toy.

Children’s game makes a part of children’s lives. The paper provides partial results of empirical research focused on children’s game in the home and school environment. The character of the empirical research was diagnostic and quantitative. The subject of the research was children’s game and its implementation for children under 12 years of age. There were 218 individual respondents from all over Slovakia who participated in the individual interviews. They gave oral answer to questions about the game in their childhood and the way it way realized. Here we also present the approach of teachers and psychologists. Due to political-pedagogical character, we divided the game and the respondents into three categories according to the age and childhood.

The attitude of parents influences formation of children’s attitude to life. It is even more noticeable when speaking about media. The proposed contribution shows partial results of research carried out as a part of VEGA project No. 1/0913/15: Media literacy of young school-age children in the context of family and school cooperation. The character of the empirical research was diagnostic and quantitative-qualitative. The aim of the research was to examine media education performed in formal and non-formal ways among young schoolaged children in Slovakia. 28 schools from all over Slovakia were examined in the presented research. The contribution focuses mainly on findings from questionnaires given to parents and other focus groups, i.e. pupils.

The contribution deals with the work and tasks of the teaching assistant of special educational needs pupils, through the data obtained from the relevant teaching assistants’ documents and their profes- sional competences in Slovakia and Great Britain. The research part presents the results of an empiri- cal quantitative research aimed at comparing the work performance of teaching assistants in Slovakia and Great Britain, that were surveyed as part of a rigorous thesis (Vargová Urbanová, 2018). One of the most significant results is that a teaching assistant in both countries is part of support staff in primary, secondary and special schools. Both countries have standards for the profession of teaching assistant with defined areas and specific competences, the binding of which is to the issuing organi- zation, but these vary in both countries.

Introduction and objective. Research focused on the monitoring of selected heavy metals in ewes’ blood. Concentrations of selected toxic elements, lead, cadmium and zinc, in ewes living near an environmentally-loaded area, concerned 15 ewes (aged 3–4 years) in good physical condition, during the spring of 2014 and 2015 in the eastern part of Slovakia. The aim of the research was to determine the concentration of selected heavy metals and state the correlations of selected heavy metals in ewes’ blood. Materials and method. Within the period of 2 years, 15 ewe were evaluated. Ewes’ blood samples were collected twice during the spring season from a farm located in area Spiš, eastern Slovakia, and then analysed for heavy metal contents. In the area under investigation, contamination with heavy metals was assumed as a result of intensive agricultural development and former mining activities. The level of selected heavy metals in the experimental group of animal blood was determined using an optical spectrophotometry. Results. Statistical analyses were carried out using the Statistica programme. The significant differences between means were calculated by the statistical method of the non-parametric Mann-Whitney´s U test. The statistical test experimental group of ewes in 2014 and 2015 confirmed the presence of selected heavy metals in ewes. The measured values of Cd (P=0.0003), Pb (P=0.0200) and Zn (P=0.0018) showed significant differences when comparing the years 2014 and 2015. Conclusion. The obtained and analysed blood samples confirmed the presence of selected heavy metals in ewes from area of Spiš in eastern Slovakia, which belongs the sub-region or is among the localities environmentally burdened. The conclusions are centred on the population’s interest and concern for the environment, as well as on the preoccupation with factors that affect the satisfaction of basic needs, the local agricultural development and former mining activities.
