Opis:
In the present study, a novel PVA–g–PMA hybrid membrane was developed for application in direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). Maleic anhydride (MA) was grafted on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) both ionically and chemically using potassium persulfate (KPS), for the first time. The PVA–g–PMA thus synthesized was then blended with 3–Amino–4–[3–(triethylammonium sulfonato)phenyl amino]phenylene hydrochloride. The prepared membranes were characterized by FT–IR, TGA. 0.0104 S/cm of proton conductivity was found for the membrane. The ion exchange capacity was found to be 2.175 meq/g and the water uptake capacity as 14.9%. The single-chamber fuel cell power density was higher (34.72 mW/cm2) and current density (62.11 mA/cm2) when compared to Nafion 117 membrane.

Opis:
The paper presents a Bayes analysis of an autoregressive-moving average model and its components based on exact likelihood and weak priors for the parameters where the priors are defined so that they incorporate stationarity and invertibility restrictions naturally. A Gibbs- Metropolis hybrid scheme is used to draw posterior-based inferences for the models under consideration. The compatibility of the models with the data is examined using the Ljung- Box-Pierce chi-square-based statistic. The paper also compares different compatible models through the posterior predictive loss criterion in order to recommend the most appropriate one. For a numerical illustration of the above, data on the Indian gross domestic product growth rate at constant prices are considered. Differencing the data once prior to conducting the analysis ensured their stationarity. Retrospective short-term predictions of the data are provided based on the final recommended model. The considered methodology is expected to offer an easy and precise method for economic data analysis.

Opis:
In this paper, we are concerned with optimality conditions and duality results of generalized fractional minimax programming problems. Sufficient optimality conditions are established for a class of nondifferentiable generalized fractional minimax programming problems, in which the involved functions are locally Lipschitz (b,Ψ,Φ,ρ)-univex. Subsequently, these optimality conditions are utilized as a basis for constructing various parametric and nonparametric duality models for this type of fractional programming problems and proving appropriate duality theorems.
