    W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe informacje niezbędne do skutecznego wdrażania miejskich autobusów wodorowych. Przedsięwzięcie to składa się z dwóch powiązanych z sobą części. Jedna to infrastruktura, druga to flota pojazdów wyposażonych w ogniwa paliwowe. W pierwszej części przedstawiono infrastrukturę konieczną do uruchomienia komunikacji miejskiej opartej na wodorze. Przedstawiono różne rozwiązania stacji tankowania wodoru oraz zagadnienie logistyczne związane z wdrożeniem (transport i magazynowanie). Wyróżniono stacje zintegrowane z produkcją wodoru oraz stacje, do których wodór jest dostarczany ze źródeł zewnętrznych.

    In the era of renewable energy, offshore wind farms play a very important role. The number of such installations in Europe is increasing rapidly. With the growing capacity of wind turbines installed in these farms (3, 5, 10 MW), the profitability of this type of energy systems plays an increasing role. The number of wind energy turbines installed at offshore wind farms is growing constantly as well. Once installed, the power plants must be under constant technical supervision, with reliability of electronic communication systems being a particularly important aspect in the operation of offshore wind farms. Considerations focusing on this subject form the very core of this paper. After an introduction to offshore wind farms, the following aspects will be discussed: redundant topologies, e.g. multiple HiPERRings, redundant switches and routers within the backbone networks, redundancy of the transmission media used, alternative transmission technologies, e.g. WLANs (IEEE 802.11h, IEEE 802.11g). Finally, requirements applicable to reliable electronic communication systems used in offshore wind farms will be formulated.

    The idea of the project is to trace the robot position and orientation and precise it by the implementation of the advanced algorithms based on triangulation and trilateration methods. Precise navigation is a difficult task since the odometry sensors used in this context are subject to systematic and random errors. The former ones result from inaccuracies in the mechanical construction of the vehicles, e.g. the wheel diameters can be unequal or the nominal direction of the wheels is different from real.

    The paper presents an application of hyperspectral imaging for defect detection in stamped elements of a car body. Measurements were performed on zinc-coated stamped steel sheets. The aim of the experiment was to verify the effectiveness of hyperspectral imaging for detecting discontinuities of the zinc layer. Two-dimensional hyperspectral scanning was performed on prepared steel samples. Experimental results prove the effectiveness of the proposed method for detecting zinc coating damage under laboratory conditions.
    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nieniszczących elementów karoserii samochodowej metodą obrazowania hiperspektralnego. Eksperymenty przeprowadzono na wytłoczkach z blachy ocynkowanej. Celem badań było sprawdzenie możliwości wykrywania nieciągłości powłoki cynkowej na podstawie analizy odpowiedzi spektralnej pozyskanej drogą skanowania 2D. Wyniki badań potwierdziły przydatność metody do wykrywania defektów w warunkach laboratoryjnych.

    Opis:
    The challenge for researchers is to develop measurement techniques that can deal with biological specimens (e.g. the human Achilles tendon) characterized by high deformation during examination. The relevant quantity which has to be investigated in laboratory experiments is the deformation or strain field of the specimen subjected to a given load. In experimental mechanics, the most remarkable technique used for strain field computation is the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) method. In the paper, the DIC method is employed to study biomaterial parameters of human Achilles tendons (AT) subjected to tensile uniaxial loadings. The application of DIC allows the heterogeneity of tendon deformation to be taken into consideration. Young’s modulus of AT based on the strain field obtained from a vision-based measurement is estimated and the results are discussed. A map of Young’s modulus (YM) is demonstrated as well.
