    The goals of the paper apply to higher education institutions and are: (1) elaboration of the definition of the quality of internationalisation and identification of (2) instruments used in the assessment process and (3) the benefits of assessing the quality of internationalisation. In order to achieve this goal, the analysis of existing data (desk research) method was used. The paper concludes with the observation that there are no universal standards for assessment of the quality of internationalisation. However, some interesting instruments, which have been developed over the last years, have been presented in the article.
    W artykule określono następujące cele odnoszące się do szkół wyższych: (1) opracowanie definicji jakości internacjonalizacji, (2) identyfikacja instrumentów wykorzystywanych w procesie oceny oraz (3) ukazanie korzyści z oceny jakości umiędzynarodowienia. Wykorzystano w nim analizę danych zastanych (desk research). Artykuł kończy się stwierdzeniem, że nie ma uniwersalnych standardów oceny jakości internacjonalizacji. Przedstawiono w nim jednak kilka interesujących, opracowanych w ostatnich latach instrumentów oceny jakości umiędzynarodowienia.

    The aim of this article is to identify and discuss research problems, methods and conclusions existing in the studies on quality culture in higher education institutions. A systematic review of literature was used. The study was conducted on the basis of 27 peer-reviewed, English-language scientific articles published in academic journals. These papers were selected based on the list of excluding (i.g. type of the publication, etc.) and including criterions (i.g. keywords, etc.). There are three conclusions. Firstly, there is a need to continue research in the areas of factors affecting quality culture and the development of quality culture. Secondly, although surveys, literature reviews and document analysis are the most often used quality culture research methods, this list might be extended to other methods. Finally, factors promoting and inhibiting the development of quality culture, elements binding structural/managerial and cultural/psychological parts of the concept and effects of quality culture, appear to be interesting, cognitively valuable and worth recognizing in further studies.

    RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The goal of the paper is to present the possibilities of using crowdfunding in entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions and investigating the impact of this activity on the development or strengthening of entrepreneurial traits and attitudes of students.THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The research problem concerns the use of crowdfunding in entrepreneurship education. The method applied to solve the research problem was a diagnostic survey. Questionnaires were completed by 314 full-time students and 34 academic teachers.THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The process of reasoning starts with the presentation of the research method. Next, methods of the entrepreneurship education are described. Afterwards, research results are presented. The paper ends with conclusions and recommendations.RESEARCH RESULTS: In the opinion of students and academic teachers developing a crowdfunding projects by students, with the special emphasis on the action plan, might be an important didactic method in entrepreneurial education. It also has significant impact on the development or strengthening students’ ability to take advantage of opportunities.CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS: The conclusions allow for verifying the thesis that crowdfunding might be used in an effective entrepreneurship education in higher education institutions. It is recommended to consider its inclusion in a wide range of methods used in entrepreneurship education.

    This article addresses the issue of academic entrepreneurship, broadly understood as: (1) the process of establishing companies, (2) university entrepreneurship, (3) development of educational programs and entrepreneurial attitudes among students and academics, (4) creating institutions and programs that support setting up of companies, (5) intellectual property management and (6) entrepreneurial university management (Banerski et al., 2009). The goal is to examine the presence of academic entrepreneurship in the development strategies of eighteen Polish public universities. This study uses the content analysis method and is a part of strategic research. To answer the research question, the universities’ development strategies were analysed and in particular mission statements, strategic and operational goals, activities/tasks. Based on the research, it can be concluded that university authorities do not perceive academic entrepreneurship as a goal of the utmost importance and only to a small extent see the need to develop this concept by taking it into account in development strategies.

    Integrated management systems in enterprises are of interest to researchers, but at higher education institutions (HEIs) this issue has not been the subject of in-depth research to date. The main purpose of this article is to explore the integration process of standardized management systems (MS), namely quality MS (compliant with ISO 9001), environmental MS (ISO 14001) and energy MS (ISO 50001) at HEIs. The objectives are: (1) examining the reasons for integrating standardized MSs at HEIs, and (2) identifying the stages of the standardized MS integration process at HEIs corresponding to the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. To achieve this goal, a case study research strategy was adopted. One case, namely the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland, was analyzed. Multiple sources were used to obtain the data, and these were documentation, archives, interviews and participant observations. It was concluded that the main reason why the authorities of the analyzed HEI made the decision to integrate quality, environmental and energy MSs was to improve the university’s performance. This research made it possible to identify activities carried out at the HEI in the process of MS integration which correspond to all stages of the PDCA cycle.

    The scientific goal of the paper is to present the issue of the development of internationalization “abroad” in Polish and Ukrainian higher education.The leading research method is a comparative method, specifically the method of international comparison. The authors focus on the national and institutional level comparison of the development of internationalization "abroad" in Polish and Ukrainian higher education systems. In addition to the comparative method, the authors applied the method of secondary research (desk research), the method of description and analysis and critique of the scientific literature. By using the source materials and indicated numerical data, it is possible to verify the thesis.The process of reasoning in the article was conducted in the following stages. First, the definition of internalization in higher education was given with respect to Polish and Ukrainian approach. Next, the stages in the development of internationalization “abroad” in Polish and Ukrainian higher education were featured. Afterwards, the development process of internationalization was presented on the background of processes occurring in the European Higher Education Area. The paper ends with conclusions.The conclusions drawn in the paper allowed to verify the thesis. In both countries, Poland and Ukraine, the diversity of activities in frame of internationalization "abroad” occur. Among these activities mobility of students and academic teachers remain the most visible in Poland as well as in Ukraine. The development of internationalization "abroad" in relation to mobility of projects, programmes and providers seems to be more advanced in Poland.

    In agreement with P.G. Altbach and J. Knight the international activities of HEIs significantly expanded in volume, scope, and complexity during the past three decades. There are many forms of internationalization, that are presented in this paper. Particular attention is devoted to the issue of internationalization in Polish and Ukrainian higher education. The conducted by the authors research attempts to carry out a comparative analysis of internationalization processes in Polish and Ukrainian higher education as well as to propose recommendations in this regard.
    Zdaniem P.G. Altbacha i J. Knight zakres działań podejmowanych przez instytucje szkolnictwa wyższego w obszarze internacjonalizacji w ciągu ostatnich trzech dekad został znacznie rozszerzony i stały się one bardziej złożone. W niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiono różne formy internacjonalizacji. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono internacjonalizacji w polskim i ukraińskim szkolnictwie wyższym. W ramach przeprowadzonych przez autorki badań podjęto próbę analizy porównawczej procesów internacjonalizacji polskiego i ukraińskiego szkolnictwa wyższego. Ponadto zaproponowano rekomendacje w tym zakresie.
