    Opis:
    To assess the technical condition of a structure and design it using existing elements, it is necessary to know its parameters. For existing facilities, it is often not possible to get a sample of material and examine it directly in the laboratory. For this reason, in situ nondestructive testing is very important. The main goal of the paper is to present the issues related to determining the strength parameters of a particular wood based on the non-destructive sclerometric test performed with a wood sclerometric hammer. The study also presents the results of the impact of pinewood density on its compressive strength.

    Special requirements are placed on finishing materials and foundations for these materials. The technical datasheets for wooden floors contain detailed moisture guidelines regarding counter-floors for these materials. To check the moisture level, the carbide method (CM method) is recommended by manufacturers and many specialists. The authors of the paper performed moisture tests for various counter-floors (anhydrite and cement jointless floors, cement-sand mixtures) using the direct gravimetric (laboratory) method and the carbide method. Test results were collected and analyzed.

    The article presents the mechanisms of biodegradation of structures of historical objects intended for exposure in the form of a permanent ruin, and principles of proceeding in removing undesirable vegetation in these objects. Particular attention was paid to issues related to the diversity of damage caused by living organisms. Rules for the removal of algae, lichens, and fungi as well as the operating procedures for removing unwanted higher plants are presented.

    W artykule przedstawiono mechanizmy biodegradacji struktur w obiektach historycznych przeznaczonych do ekspozycji w postaci trwalej ruiny oraz zasady postępowania przy usuwaniu niepożądanej roślinności w tychże obiektach. Szczególną uwagę poświecono zagadnieniom związanym z różnorodnością uszkodzeń spowodowanych przez organizmy żywe. Zaprezentowano zasady postępowania przy usuwaniu zarówno glonów porostów i grzybów, jak również procedury działania przy zwalczaniu niepożądanej roślinności wyższej.
    The article presents the mechanisms of biodegradation of structures in permanent ruins. There are also principles of proceeding in removing undesirable vegetation in these objects. Particular attention was paid to issues related to the diversity of damage caused by biological organisms. Rules for the removal of lichens, algae and fungi algae as well as the procedures for removing unwanted higher plants are presented.

    Opis:
    This article is an analysis of methods of securing historic walls in objects in the form of so-called permanent ruins. The research group consists of the brick Gothic castles of Mazovia in Ciechanów, Czersk, Liw and Sochaczew. Based on the analysis of documentation and our research, the effectiveness of the solutions applied in 4 different technological variants was evaluated. The state of preservation of the introduced solutions after several years of work was also assessed. The entire study was summarised in a table and conclusions were drawn.
    Niniejszy artykuł jest analizą metod zabezpieczania historycznych murów w obiektach w postaci tzw. trwałej ruiny. Grupę badawczą stanowią ceglane gotyckie zamki mazowieckie w Ciechanowie, Czersku, Liwie i Sochaczewie. Na podstawie analizy dokumentacji oraz badań własnych, oceniono skuteczność rozwiązań zastosowanych w 4 różnych wariantach technologicznych. Ocenie podlegał również stan zachowania wprowadzonych rozwiązań po upływie kilku lat od wykonania prac. Całość opracowania została podsumowana tabelarycznie i wyciągnięte zostały wnioski.

    Opis:
    The article focuses on the study of the thermal properties of pine wood, a material traditionally used in construction, especially in Poland. The trend towards sustainable construction necessitates a deeper analysis of its properties. Due to the insufficient amount of data in the literature on the thermal conductivity of pine wood, detailed studies were conducted, taking into account different wood densities. Seasoned wood samples were subjected to various processes and tests, measuring the heat conduction coefficient under different conditions. These results are relevant in the context of sustainable construction and will assist in further research on wood as a building material. The studies also took into account the effects of temperature and humidity on the thermal properties of wood, which are crucial for its application in various environmental conditions.
