Opis:
The sealing of shaft cast iron tubing within a tubing Inter-rib niche is often needed during overhauls and repairs of a shaft lining. Leakages or scratches and fractures can occur within the area of individual tubing of the shaft lining. The Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Szybów S.A. developed special method for the sealing in question. Around the sealed area, a closed circumference groove of a depth smaller than the tubing thickness is made in the inner shaft lining. The sealing element is placed in this groove and then tightened with a spatial insert, with a hole for the injection of the sealing medium. A specially designed milling machine is used for groove making in the tubing lining of the mine shaft. The milling machine is composed of: power transmission system, special construction for mounting the milling machine to tubing and advance mechanism. The milling machine is driven by a battery drill-driver, and the whole device is mounted to the tubing with the use of specially designed guides with handles.

Opis:
Russian intervention in Donbas and annexation of Crimea have triggered a fundamental revision of the EU policy towards Easter neighbourhood and Russia. The main goal of this paper is to develop discussion about the EU strategy towards Russia by presenting political concept named “The Giedroyc doctrine”, created by Polish intellectuals on exile, when Poland was under Soviet domination. Although created a few decades ago, some elements of this doctrine are still surprisingly relevant today and may contribute to contemporary European debate. In particular, we argue that strengthening the prosperity, stability and security in Eastern Europe is possible only when Russia transforms itself into a prosperous and democratic state. Autocratic and neo-imperial Russia undermines any major pro-Western political changes in the region. Therefore, successful transformation of Russia into stable, prosperous and democratic state should be included into the long-term vision of European politicians who intend to keep Europe secure. All political activities in the Eastern neighbourhood should be subordinated to this. It means that economic support for Ukraine and strengthening cooperation with this country should not be a goal itself. Westernization of Ukraine ought to be perceived only as a beginning of political transformation of the whole region.

Most 16-century prints from the “Hosianum” Library in Olsztyn are theological works, both Catholic and Lutheran. They include works by well-known reformation writers, such as Erazmus of Rotterdam, Martin Luther, Philip Melanchthon, Jean Calvin, Johannes Bugenhagen, as well as less known authors. The counter-reformation movement is represented in the library by the works of John Fisher, Johann Eck, Stanislaus Hosius, Melchior Cano and Robert Bellarmine. This article is not a complete catalogue of reformation and counter-reformation prints kept in the collection of the library. It names and discusses the most typical works from that period, as well as – according to the authors – the most interesting ones.
Znaczna większość druków z XVI w. Biblioteki „Hosianum” w Olsztynie, stanowią dzieła teologiczne, zarówno katolickie, jak i protestanckie. Są to pisma zarówno znanych przedstawicieli reformacji: Erazma z Rotterdamu, Marcina Lutra, Filipa Melanchtona, Jana Kalwina, Jana Bugenhagena, jak i mniej znanych. Wśród przedstawicieli kontrreformacji należy wymienić: Johna Fishera, Johannesa Ecka, Stanisława Hozjusza, Melchiora Cano czy Roberta Bellarmina. Niniejsze opracowanie nie jest kompletnym katalogiem druków okresu reformacji i kontrreformacji w zbiorach książnicy seminaryjnej. Zostały w nim jedynie wskazane i omówione dzieła typowe dla tej epoki oraz – zdaniem autorów – najciekawsze.

Objectives Atmospheric pressure is the most objective weather factor because regardless of if outdoors or indoors it affects all objects in the same way. The majority of previous studies have used the average daily values of atmospheric pressure in a bioclimatic analysis and have found no correlation with blood pressure changes. The main objective of our research was to assess the relationship between atmospheric pressure recorded with a frequency of 1 measurement per minute and the results of 24-h blood pressure monitoring in patients with treated hypertension in different seasons in the moderate climate of the City of Łódź (Poland). Material and Methods The study group consisted of 1662 patients, divided into 2 equal groups (due to a lower and higher average value of atmospheric pressure). Comparisons between blood pressure values in the 2 groups were performed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Results We observed a significant difference in blood pressure recorded during the lower and higher range of atmospheric pressure: on the days of the spring months systolic (p = 0.043) and diastolic (p = 0.005) blood pressure, and at nights of the winter months systolic blood pressure (p = 0.013). Conclusions A significant inverse relationship between atmospheric pressure and blood pressure during the spring days and, only for systolic blood pressure, during winter nights was observed. Konieczność wykonania uszczelniania tubingowej obudowy szybu, wykonanej z tubingów żeliwnych w obszarze ich wnęki międzyżebrowej pojawia się często przy wykonywanych remontach i naprawach obudowy szybów. W obszarze poszczególnych tubingów obudowy szybu mogą pojawiać się przecieki bądź rysy czy pęknięcia. Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Szybów S.A. stosuje do wykonania takiego uszczelnienia metodę polegającą na tym, że wokół uszczelnianego obszaru w obudowie od wnętrza szybu wykonuje się rowek o zamkniętym obwodzie i o głębokości mniejszej niż grubość samego tubingu. Następnie w rowku umieszcza się element uszczelniający, który dociska się przestrzenną wkładką zamkniętą od góry i zaopatrzoną w otwór do wtłaczania medium uszczelniającego. Do wykonania rowków (gniazd do mocowania uszczelnienia) w obudowie tubingowej zabudowanej w szybie kopalnianym służy specjalnie do tego celu zaprojektowana frezarka. Frezarka składa się z układu napędowego oraz z konstrukcji mocującej frezarkę do tubingu oraz mechanizmu posuwu. Napęd frezarki stanowi wiertarko wkrętarka akumulatorowa, a całe urządzenie mocowane jest do tubingu za pomocą specjalnie zaprojektowanych prowadnic z uchwytami
