Opis:
Physical and special physical fitness of first and second year students which go in for boxing in the process of their physical training during one and two years, respectively, is defined here. The research involved 108 students: 54 students from first year and 54 students from second year, which were tested during the year (at the beginning and at the end). The following types of testing were used: standing long jump, lying dip up for 20 sec and 1 min, speed – 100 m running, endurance – running 3000 m, rope jumping (quantity per 1 min) and special physical fitness was determined by maximum quantity of left and right punches during 15 sec. There positive dynamics and growth of all physical fitness indicators of students who went in for boxing during the first year was defined. The students who went in for boxing for the second year showed better results and their dynamics (in addition to indicators of 100 m running speed).

Opis:
The monograph is devoted to studies of the problem of a macroscopic body known as the soccer-ball problem in the frame of different deformed algebras leading to space quantization. It is shown that this problem can be solved in a deformed space with a minimal length, in a noncommutative phase space, in a space with a Lie-algebraic noncommutativity, in a twist-deformed space-time due to the relation of parameters of corresponding algebras with mass. In addition, we conclude that this relation gives a possibility to obtain a list of important results in quantum space including recovering the weak equivalence principle, preserving the properties of the kinetic energy, obtaining the Galilean and Lorentz transformations independent of the mass of the particle.

Opis:
Introduction: Barrett’s esophagus is an acquired condition that develops as a result of transformation of normal stratified squamous epithelium in the lower part of the esophagus into columnar epithelium. Barrett’s esophagus is considered to be a complication of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Various endoscopic techniques have been shown to be successful in the treatment of this condition. However, long-term success in preventing further esophageal dysplasia is not clear. Biological welding consists in the application of controlled high-frequency current on living tissues and has been used to stop gastrointestinal bleeding, similarly to the APC technique which involves ablation of small intestinal metaplasia of the esophageal mucosa. Aim: The goal of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of endoscopic techniques in the treatment of Barrett’s esophagus and verify the need for a subsequent surgical intervention in patients with GERD complicated by Barrett’s esophagus. Material and methods: Patients with Barrett’s esophagus C1-3M2-4 (Prague classification from 2004) and high dysplasia without nodules, as well as patients with confirmed GERD without hiatal hernia, were included in this study. Endoscopic treatment was performed with the use of argonoplasmic coagulation (APC) and high-frequency welding of living tissues (HFW). After the examination the patients were re-examined. Patients with recurrence of metaplasia and high DeMeester score (˃ 100) underwent antireflux surgery – crurography and Nissen fundoplication with creation of a soft and short cuff. Results: A total of 89 patients were included in the study, 81 of whom were reexamined after ablation of Barrett’s esophagus. In 12 patients, a recurrence of intestinal metaplasia resembling the small intestine was identified. Implementation of two-stage treatment was required for 9 patients – it involved a second procedure of ablation of the esophagus, followed by antireflux surgery. Surgical treatment was refused by 3 patients, who underwent only the second ablation procedure. All patients received drug therapy, consisting of prokinetics and proton pump inhibitors. Esophageal pH monitoring was repeated 3 months after surgery, showing normalization of the DeMeester score. As a result, the patients experienced no complaints such as heartburn, chest pain or dysphagia, which significantly improved their quality of life. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy and biopsy of the mucous membrane of the lower third of the esophagus were performed in accordance with the Seattle Protocol. After examining histological specimens, no regions of metaplasia were identified. Conclusion: Antireflux surgery is required as a part of the treatment for Barrett’s esophagus, which prevents further dysplasia and development of esophageal cancer.

Opis:
The article discusses the option for the application of the methodology for the solution of boundary value problems on the conformal mapping for the calculation of filtration process in the horizontal systematic drainage, provided that the drain is installed at a different depth. In particular, the case of methods combining fictitious areas and quasiconformal mappings for solving nonlinear boundary conditions problems for calculating filtration regimes in soils with free sections of boundaries (depression curves) and intervals of the “drainage” type. As an example, the authors designed a hydrodynamic flow grid, determined the values of the flows to the drain, established a section line and elicited other process characteristics. The algorithm for the numerical solution of model nonlinear boundary conditions problems of quasiconformal reflection in areas bounded by two equipotential lines and two flow lines, when for one of the sections, the boundary is an unknown (free) curve with fixed and free ends. The conducted numerical calculations prove that the problems and algorithms of their numerical solution, with a relatively small iterations number (k = 141) suggested in the paper, can be applied in the simulation of nonlinear filtration processes that arise in horizontal drainage systems. Total filtration flow obtained Q = 0.9 dm3∙s–1; flow for drains Q1 = 0.55 dm3∙s–1 and Q2 = 0.35 dm3∙s–1 are quite consistent with practically determined values.
