Opis:
Side scan sonar measurement platform, affected by underwater environment and its own motion precision, inevitably has posture and motion disturbance, which greatly affects accuracy of geomorphic image formation. It is difficult to sensitively and accurately capture these underwater disturbances by relying on auxiliary navigation devices. In this paper, we propose a method to invert motion and posture information of the measurement platform by using the matching relation between the strip images. The inversion algorithm is the key link in the image mosaic frame of side scan sonar, and the acquired motion posture information can effectively improve seabed topography and plotting accuracy and stability. In this paper, we first analyze influence of platform motion and posture on side scan sonar mapping, and establish the correlation model between motion, posture information and strip image matching information. Then, based on the model, a reverse neural network is established. Based on input, output of neural network, design of and test data set, a motion posture inversion mechanism based on strip image matching information is established. Accuracy and validity of the algorithm are verified by the experimental results.

Opis:
As the main solid wastes of coal-fired power plants, fly ash particles with different electrical properties are usually recycled using triboelectrostatic separator. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of different plate voltages on the separation of fly ash in a rotary triboelectrostatic separator with experiments and numerical simulation. The maximum values of yield of ash products (48.30%), and decarbonisation rate (50.89%) and the minimum loss-on-ignition (6.61%) were obtained when the plate voltage was 24 kV in the separation experiments, while 55.98%, 59.46%, 5.80% were reached respectively when the plate voltage was 26 kV in the simulation. In general, experimental data were similar with numerical simulation. The turning points appeared around 25 kV due to the increasing mismatch in products, which resulted from the reinforced rebound phenomena, namely the charged particle rebound from the electrode plate with a larger reflection velocity, when the plate voltage increased from 18 to 28 kV. It was validated by the numerical simulation results.

Opis:
Textile materials are widely available in nature, and the original time when humans started to use them must have been very early. However, they also easily aged, and most of the ancient ones had decomposed and disappeared thoroughly before we could find them, resulting that the remaining textile relics cannot reflect entirely the origins of textile materials. Fortunately large numbers of indirect evidence related to ancient textile materials can be found in many unearthed culture relics belonging to the Stone Age. Starting from the basic survival needs of primitive man, in this article, we analysed related hard relics from Chinese excavations made of stone, wood, bone, and so on. And based on this, the time of origin of the textile materials was further speculated upon.
Materiały włókniste są stosowane od bardzo dawna. Jednakże tekstylia szybko się starzeją i większość starożytnych materiałów uległo rozkładowi całkowicie znikając zanim je odnaleziono, co powoduje błędy w datowaniu początku stosowania tekstyliów. Dużą liczbę dowodów pośrednich związanych z dawnymi tekstyliami można znaleźć w wielu odnalezionych reliktach kultury pochodzących z różnych epok, w tym epoki kamiennej. W artykule przeanalizowano artefakty pochodzące z chińskich wykopalisk wykonane z kamienia, drewna, kości, ceramiki itp. Na podstawie tychże analiz można określić, z którego okresu pochodzą tekstylia.

Opis:
An experimental study was carried out on the fatigue behaviour of multi-axial warp-knitted fabric composites. Composite samples reinforced with multi-axial warp-knitted fabric/matrix were manufactured by the vacuum-assisted resin transfer moulding method. Tensile-tensile fatigue cycling was carried out at different load levels, and S-N curves, tensile stress-strain curve and stiffness degradation of the multi-axial composite samples were obtained. Finally post-fatigue tensile tests were done at a stress level of 75%, at the stages of 1/3N and 2/3N, and the equivalent residual strength and stiffness degradation were obtained.
Dokonano oceny właściwości mechanicznych i zmęczeniowych kompozytowych dzianin wieloosiowych. Kompozyty wzmocnione dzianiną wieloosiową wytworzono przy zastosowaniu próżniowej metody formowania. Dokonano oceny zmęczenia materiału i właściwości wytrzymałościowych przy różnych poziomach obciążenia. Przedstawiono krzywe S-N, krzywą naprężenie-odkształcenie i degradację sztywności wieloosiowych próbek kompozytowych. Wykonano również testy zmęczenia materiału przy poziomie naprężenia 75%, w etapach 1/3N i 2/3N. Omówiono równoważną wytrzymałość szczątkową i degradację sztywności kompozytowych dzianin wieloosiowych.

Opis:
The quantification of biomass carbon pools is important for understanding carbon cycling in forest ecosystems. This study was designed to reveal the effects of stand age on biomass partitioning and carbon storage of Chinese fir plantation stands in Dabie Mountains of Anhui, East China. A total of six even-aged Chinese fir plantation stands along an age-sequence from 10 to 50 years were selected. To quantify the biomass of different tree components, 18 trees with diameter at breast height (D1.3) from 6.5 to 35.2 cm were harvested from the different aged stands. Biomasses of understory vegetation, forest floor and standing dead trees were also investigated. Total biomass carbon storages ranged from 57.6 to 211.4 Mg ha–1 in the different aged stands. Tree layer comprised from 93.7% to 96.4% of the total biomass C pools in the different aged stands. The C pools of the necromass were from 1.8 to 6.2 Mg ha–1. Stand age had a significant effect on tree biomass partitioning, with an increase in proportion of root biomass. The root/shoot ratios were from 0.187 to 0.312, which was significantly positively correlated to stand age. The existing plantation stands are still developing and have somewhat high rate of biomass and carbon accumulations beyond the normal rotation period (usually 25–30 years) even over an age of 50 years. Appropriate prolongation of the rotation period of Chinese fir plantation will be effective in maintaining long-term productivity and providing large carbon sink. The measurements provide valuable data for modelling productivity of Chinese fir plantation forest.

Opis:
The fossil record of coelacanths is patchy, with very few taxa known from the Triassic of Asia. We report here two new genera and species of coelacanths from the Luoping Biota, a recently found site of exceptional fossil preservation from Yunnan, South China. The first new taxon, Luopingcoelacanthus eurylacrimalis, is based on four specimens, which to− gether show most aspects of the anatomy. One specimen shows two small coelacanths inside the ventral portion of the ab− dominal cavity, and these are interpreted as intrauterine embryos, close to birth size, based on comparisons with previ− ously reported embryos of the fossil coelacanths Rhabdoderma and Undina, and the extant genus Latimeria. Our new find extends the evidence for ovoviviparity in coelacanths back from the Late Jurassic to the Middle Triassic. The second new taxon, Yunnancoelacanthus acrotuberculatus, is based on one specimen, and differs from Luopingcoelacanthus in the dentary, lachrymojugal, number of rays of the first dorsal fin, and especially in the ornament on dermal bones and scales. Acladistic analysis shows that the new taxa are closest relatives to the derived clade Latimerioidei. The relatively high di− versity of coelacanths in the Early Triassic, and adaptations of living Latimeria to low−oxygen conditions, suggests that the group may have included ‘disaster taxa’ that benefited from anoxic and dysoxic ocean conditions in the aftermath of the end−Permian mass extinction.
