Podgrupa „Butrym” dowodzona przez por. Feliksa Ankersteina (1897–1955) operowała na froncie północnym III powstania śląskiego, początkowo w okolicach Tarnowskich Gór, a następnie Gorzowa Śląskiego i Olesna – najbliżej granicy z Polską. Była jedną z trzech podgrup Grupy „Północ”. Utworzona 1 maja 1921 r., w czerwcu przekształcona została w 8 Tarnogórski Pułk Piechoty, który w działaniach powstańczych uczestniczył do 30 czerwca 1921 r., kiedy przetransportowany został do Polski i rozwiązany 21 lipca tego roku. W artykule opublikowano dziennik bojowy Podgrupy „Butrym” autorstwa jej dowódcy, w którym opisał działania podgrupy w czasie powstania, jak również wydarzenia po jego zakończeniu. Struktura treści zawiera takie elementy jak: data i miejsce postoju, stan bojowy, wiadomości o nieprzyjacielu i sytuacja własna, opis walk i potyczek, straty własne i nieprzyjacielskie, zdobycz, stan moralny i fizyczny, wyżywienie, pogoda etc. Informacje te podawane były przez Ankersteina w miarę możliwości, jednak nie zawsze. Publikację tego źródła poprzedza omówienie postaci jego autora, zasłużonej dla Polski w burzliwym okresie pierwszej połowy XX wieku.
The „Butrym” subgroup, commanded by Lieutenant Feliks Ankerstein (1897– 1955) operated on the northern front of the Third Silesian Uprising, initially in the vicinity of Tarnowskie Góry, then Gorzów Śląski and Olesno – close to the Polish border. This was one of three subgroups of the „North” Group, and it was established on 1 May 1921. In June of that year the formation was transformed into the 8th Tarnowskie Góry Infantry Regiment, which participated in insurgent activities until the end of the month. The subgroup was then transported to Poland and disbanded on 21 July 1921. The article presents the battle diary of the „Butrym” subgroup’s commander, who describes the formation’s activities both during and after the uprising. The contents include elements such as: the date and location of stopovers, the formation’s combat status, information about the enemy, descriptions of battles and skirmishes, casualty numbers from both sides, looting, morale and the physical condition of the Polish troops, food, and weather. This information was provided by Ankerstein whenever possible; however, it does not constitute an exhaustive account of the formation’s activities.The article also discusses the author of the diary, who was a distinguished officer during the turbulent period of the first half of the 20th century.
Die Untergruppe „Butrym” unter dem Kommando von Oberleutnant Feliks Ankerstein (1897–1955) operierte an der Nordfront des Dritten Schlesischen Aufstandes, zunächst in der Nähe von Tarnowitz, dann in Landsberg O. S. und Rosenberg – am nächsten zur polnischen Grenze. Sie war eine von drei Untergruppen der Gruppe „Nord”. Diese wurde am 1. Mai 1921 aufgestellt und im Juni in das 8. Tarnowitzer Infanterieregiment umgewandelt, das bis zum 30. Juni 1921 an den Aufstandsaktivitäten teilnahm, dann nach Polen transportiert und am 21. Juli des Jahres aufgelöst wurde. In dem Aufsatz wurde das Kampftagebuch der Untergruppe „Butrym” veröffentlicht, das von ihrem Kommandeur verfasst wurde und in dem er die Aktivitäten der Untergruppe während des Aufstands sowie die Ereignisse nach dessen Ende beschreibt. Die Struktur des Inhalts umfasst Elemente wie Datum und Ort der Zwischenstopps, Kampfstatus, Nachrichten über die feindliche und eigene Situation, Beschreibung von Kämpfen und Gefechten, eigene und feindliche Verluste, Gefangennahmen, moralischer und physischer Zustand, Nahrung, Wetter usw. Diese Informationen wurden von Ankerstein wann möglich, jedoch nicht kontinuierlich, verzeichnet. Der Veröffentlichung dieser Quelle geht eine Diskussion über die Person ihres Verfassers voraus, der sich in der turbulenten Zeit der ersten Hälfte des 20.
