Opis:
An increasing number of electronic devices are being equipped with radio interfaces intended for communication with and control by other devices and applications. Wireless communication in this class of devices may be exposed to a number of situations that can occur, including limited energy resources, equipment failures, node mobility, and loss of communication between nodes. Ultimately, commonly-used standards and protocols for sharing services are not practical and do not take into account the occurrence of such problems. This paper presents a concept of communication that relies on the exchange of messages between wireless-pervasive devices commonly found in our environmen.

Opis:
The development of applications for wireless sensor networks is a challenging task. For this reason, several testbed platforms have been created. They simplify the manageability of nodes by offering easy ways of programming and debugging sensor nodes. These platforms, sometimes composed of dozens of sensors, provide a convenient way for carrying out research on medium access control and data exchange between nodes. In this article, we propose the extension of the WSN testbed, which could be used for evaluating and testing the functionality of sensor networks applications by emulating a real-world environment.

Opis:
This paper encourages the use of a computational model of Collective Intelligence as a major (meta-level) tool to analyze and predict behavior of socio-economical systems like free (or quasi-free) markets are. Researchers are aware, that economics is a study of human behavior, but lack of a proper formal tool has shifted research in economics into the language of money, production, consumption, etc. From an economic point of view, when analyzing free (quasi-free) markets, more important is group behavior than individual behavior because they result in changes of market indexes. Group behavior leads in specific cases to the emergence of "group intelligence" with the most famous case named "A. Smith invisible hand of market". A computational model of Collective Intelligence allows for the formal extraction of the "system of inference processes" which run in an unconscious way in socio-economic structures. The construction of a proper formal and simulation model of such Collective Intelligence inferences allows us to take an attempt to predict outcomes in terms of economical results. The paper will present a formal basis, methodology of constructing Collective Intelligence systems for given socio-economic structures.

Opis:
Biostratigraphic analysis of fossils material has allowed the documentation of sediment gravity flows in the Skole basin during the Paleocene and Eocene times, and also in the Eocene-Oligocene transition. This most external basin of the NE Outer Carpathians was a marginal sea especially sensitive to geotectonic instability and relative sea-level change, favoring the development of down slope movements at these times. The dominance of calcareous forms in foraminifera, and a large share of redeposited species among the nanno- and microfossils indicate a close relationship of sediments containing them with the shelf environment and documents not too long transport. Additionally the recycled forms are often well preserved, indicating that the rock contained in flows were only plasticized and hydrated while the material itself was not a subject of significant mechanical processing in contrast to that one, which directly documented down slope moving. The latter forms are bad preserved and their fossil remains are usually corroded, partially dissolved and broken during this process. In addition, the planktonic forms including foraminifera, calcareous dinocysts and nannoplankton allow documenting the time of the final deposition of the sediment transported on slope.
