    The article contains some remarks on technical progress as a factor producing transformations in structure of the economy. It should be underlined, first of all, that technical progress is a basic factor of structural changes. Its role in the process of structural transformations ensues from its very naturę being cha— racterized by dynamism and irregularity. These properties determine the fact that it is a motor of structural changes in the economy. The author underlines also the main elements of the economic process, in which effects of structural transformations produced by technical progress are best visible.

    The article consists of two parts. The first part presents, the role of three sectors hypothesis in the theory of structural transformations and in structural studies is the FRG drawing special attention to those theses of the concept around which an animated discussion is held by West-German economists. In the second part, the author describes the gain directions and scope of sectorial structural transformations in Vest German economy over the period 1960-1930.

    The analysis performed in this article is focused on size and structure of unemployment in the Federal Republic of Germany since 1973 till the early eighties. The author stresses the fact that although a sharp growth in unemployment in the period under survey should be attributed to deterioration of the business situation and changes in conditions of functioning of the FRG's economy generated by increase in prices of fuels and energy as well as raw materials, some factors indicate that unemployment in this country assumes characteristics of structural unemployment. This is confirmed by analysis of unemployment structure performed with regard to the unemployed age criterion, period of unemployment, its structure according to economic sectors, branches and professions of the unemployed. The author also points at causes of the structural deficit of jobs placing the main emphasis on a drop in investment propensity observed in the FRG's economy in the seventies.

    Ekspansywny rozwój funduszy majątku państwowego po 1999 roku oraz dyskusja jaka wokół nich rozwinęła się w okresie kryzysu finansowego 2007-2008 roku skłania do postawienia szeregu pytań o istotę funduszy, ich genezę, zmiany struktury, politykę inwestycyjną, tym bardziej, iż większość z nich pochodzi z krajów wschodzących, mających nadwyżki w bilansie obrotów bieżących oraz z krajów- eksporterów surowców. Każe to postawić pytanie o ich wpływ na światowe rynki finansowe, o relacje pomiędzy krajami-globalnymi dłużnikami i wierzycielami. W opracowaniu poruszono następujące kwestie: istota funduszy, kierunki inwestycji, rolę funduszy w okresie kryzysu finansowego 2007-2008 oraz zagrożeń wynikających z działania SWF na globalnym rynku finansowym.
    Expansive development of Sovereign-Wealth Funds after 1999 as well as the debate around it, which rose in the time of financial crisis 2007-2008 encourages to ask questions concerning the substance of funds, their origin, structure changes, investment policy. Most of such funds come from rising economies that have surplus in the current account balance and from countries exporting natural resources. That should make us ask what is their influence on global financial markets, their relations between countries – global debtors and creditors. The author rises such issues in the article: substance of funds, directions of investments, the role of funds in the time of financial crisis 2007-2008 and dangers that come from Sovereign-Wealth Funds functioning on global financial market.

    Transferring of modern business services abroad is one of the most characteristic features of service globalization.     Global existential rationalty is a civilizational mega trend as lack of equality and disproportion of development might lead to global turbulences. There comes the question about global rationality conditioning. The paper draws attention to a selected number of issues, which may create a field for further discussion. It consists of three substantive parts. The first concerns the change in the geopolitical situation of the world. The second has been devoted to the problem of development disproportions in the world. The last section analyses three issues relevant to the topic discussed: the role of the institutions in the global world, the problem of the world economic leadership, as well as the shortage of theoretical economy in the fields such as definition of problems of the less developed countries and also global changes.
