    Celem tego artykułu jest próba rozwinięcia i uzasadnienia tezy, zgodnie z którą problematyka kompetencji nauczyciela nie może być rozpatrywana bez dogłębnego rozważenia wszystkich czynników, które w sposób istotny wpływają na jego funkcjonowanie w środowisku edukacyjnym. Środowisko to kształtowane jest w oparciu o czynniki wewnętrzne, jak i zewnętrzne, które stale ulegają istotnym zmianom pod wpływem procesu globalizacji. Na taki pogląd i drogę myślenia wskazują wyniki analiz naukowych przeprowadzonych badań.
    The purpose of this article is an attempt of develop and justify a thesis, according to which the problem of a teacher's competence cannot be examined without a deep consideration of all factors, which in essential way shall influence his/her functioning in the educational environment. The environment has been developed on the basis of both internal and external factors, which constantly undergoes essential changes under the influence of a globalization process. Such opinion and way of thinking is the result of scientific analysis of the performed research.

    The article discusses the threat to global security resulting from the use of antipersonnel mines in armed conflicts. The threat, or indeed threats, posed above are analysed in reference to the stipulations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). It lists a variety of crucial actions initiated by the UN, International Red Cross Committee, and governments of numerous states to remove the mines, assist victims of their use, and to provide public education. Nevertheless, the problem remains unsolved. The article focuses further on social consequences carried by the use of these lethal combat devices.
    Artykuł omawia problem, jakim jest zagrożenie dla bezpieczeństwa współczesnego świata wynikające z użycia w konfliktach zbrojnych min przeciwpiechotnych. Analizuje powyższe zagrożenie (a właściwie zagrożenia) w aspekcie międzynarodowych dokumentów Prawa Humanitarnego. Ukazuje, iż rozmaite organizacje, takie jak ONZ i Międzynarodowy Komitet Czerwonego Krzyża, oraz rządy wielu państw inicjują istotne akcje poświęcone procesowi usuwania min, pomocy ich ofiarom i publicznej edukacji, lecz problem ten nadal pozostaje nierozwiązany do końca. Zwraca uwagę na istotne konsekwencje społeczne, jakie niesie ze sobą użycie tych śmiercionośnych środków walki.

    The article presents the reader with making a threat in today’s world of terrorists using weapons of mass destruction and relating mainly to biological weapons. Indicated the special role adopted by the terrorists able to use various types of pathogens that can lead to mass deaths among the population. In today’s economic market based on specific political conditions there exist great potential acquisition by terrorists of various types of measures that can be used as potential sources of pathogens. Unlike chemicals, most of the known biological agents can be used in small quantities by terrorists in order to achieve a large effect destruction. Biological weapon in the hands of terrorists is one of the worst mass destruction.
    W artykule przedstawiono dokonującą się we współczesnym świecie groźbę użycia przez terrorystów broni masowej zagłady, w głównej mierze broni biologicznej. Wskazano na szczególną rolę przyjętej przez terrorystów możliwości użycia różnego typu patogenów, które mogą doprowadzić do masowych zgonów wśród ludności. Na współczesnym rynku gospodarczym opartym na określonych uwarunkowaniach politycznych istnieją bowiem duże możliwości pozyskania przez terrorystów różnego typu środków, które mogą być wykorzystane jako potencjalne źródła chorobotwórcze. W odróżnieniu od substancji chemicznych, większość znanych środków biologicznych może być użyta w niewielkich ilościach przez terrorystów w celu osiągnięcia dużego efektu rażenia. Broń biologiczna w rękach terrorystów jest jednym z najstraszniejszych środków masowego rażenia.

    The ever-changing face of the contemporary world enforces the need to establish ever more flexible structures ensuring appropriate behaviours of states, in line with the spirit of the time. These behaviours refer primarily to the seeking for solutions to shared problems, processes, and phenomena that require radical international actions. The contemporary world poses numerous situations when states as institutions make use of their military forces to attain certain objectives and ambitions, as the use of military force, and in consequence a war, is an act of violence.
    Stale zmieniające się oblicze współczesnego świata wymusza potrzebę tworzenia coraz bardziej elastycznych struktur zapewniających właściwe, zgodne z duchem czasu zachowania państw. Zachowania te odnoszą się głównie do poszukiwania rozwiązań wspólnych problemów, procesów czy zjawisk, wymagających radykalnych działań międzynarodowych. Współczesny świat stwarza wiele sytuacji, w których państwa jako instytucje wykorzystują swoje siły militarne do realizacji pewnych celów i dążeń. Użycie siły militarnej, a w konsekwencji wojna, jest bowiem aktem przemocy.

    The general considerations presented in this article, referring to the pedagogical aspect of the functioning of the family in the context of socio-educational conditions show that the most important part in those conditions is played by the right organisation of relationships among the family members. The contemporary family functions in conditions dramatically different from those of a few decades ago. Taking that into consideration, we should bear in minds that the present conditions caused the constant presence of hatred, alienation and anxiety – and worse still – lack of the sense of safety among family members. In spite of the occurrences outside the family, it is essential to remember that each family creates its own micro-world giving the sense of cohesion which, at the same time, is the basis of its existence. Lasting emotional relationships in a family, the need to equalise personality differences and the influence of parents and children on one another – based on mutual partnership – lead to the creation of the psychological sense of unity and identity in the behaviour of all the persons in the family structure. Therefore for each of us the family is an imperishable value as, by the right relationships among its members, it builds lasting social and emotional bonds. It gives each person support and a firm basis for unquestionable principles and ways of solving problems, also those outside the family, as well as the ability to function in difficult life situations.

    The Islamic cultural domain comprises a geographical area of diverse tourist attractions and is an important destination of international tourism. At the same time, the ‘Islamic countries’, as destinations for tourism, are not free from the threats to the safety of the incoming tourists; there are numerous paradoxes that result from the fact of providing services to believers of different religions.
