    The paper presents one of the contemporary methods of homily preaching, referred to as neo-apologetic. Based on truth, it is meant to aim at the Truth, which is the Triune God. This will happen through the preacher's faith and reason, which will allow each listener to decide on accepting the Truth in full freedom, as well as through apologetics, understood as committed testimony of a herald of the Gospel.

    The article entitled The Structures of Polish Preaching during the Eucha-rist. Past – Present – Future provides only an outline of the issues raised. Its focus is on the major models of preaching during the Holy Mass. From “the past” (the time before the Second Vatican Council), the struc-ture of a sermon has been recalled. From “the present” (the post-conciliar peri-od), the three-level existential-dialogical model (the so-called Polish model) and their three expanded variants have been reported: Fr Mieczysław Brzozowskiʼs, Fr Zbigniew Adamekʼs and Fr Jan Twardyʼs. As the model of “the future”, a structure of the authorʼs own design is proposed. Like those mentioned above, it is based on the existential-dialogical model. Its novelty lies in the proposal that the subject and the aim of the homily should become elements of its structure. In the post-conciliar model of preach-ing during the Eucharist, these are no longer spoken of in the homily itself as they used to be before the Second Vatican Council. Specifying the subject and aim of the homily has become a “technical activity”, which means they are “non-delivered” elements. I therefore propose that their place in the homily structure should be with the structure and thus connected with the structure. What is more important, however, is the conception of structure “proper”, which the author has based not on hodie – “today” (as Fr J. Twardy) but on hic et nunc – “here and now”. It is the structure proper that reflects the actual char-acter of a homily, in which Christʼs salvific intervention takes place not “to-day” but “at this moment” – “here and now”.

    Synodal conversion is the return of the Church to community missionary activity – to proclaim the Gospel everywhere. It consists in changing the way of thinking about the Church, changing the way of being in the Church, and changing the way of perceiving the Church. This change should be made by meeting the community, listening to the Holy Spirit and one another, in order to discern well what the Paraclete is saying to the Church today.

    Niniejszy artykuł stara się odpowiedzieć na pytanie o granice kaznodziejskiej wyobraźni w Mszach z udziałem dzieci. Z jednej bowiem strony mamy do czynienia z sacrum w odniesieniu do zarówno miejsca (świątynia), jak i celebrowanych najważniejszych tajemnic wiary (męka, śmierć i zmartwychwstanie Jezusa), z drugiej zaś są najmłodsi uczestnicy Mszy Świętej, niewiele jeszcze rozumiejący ze sprawowanych obrzędów kultycznych. Zderzenie „dwóch światów” może niekiedy wywoływać u kaznodziejów pokusę używania nazbyt zeświecczonych metod i środków przybliżania Dobrej Nowiny najmłodszym. Granicę, która przed tym zabezpiecza, autor upatruje w postępowaniu kaznodziejów w zgodności z nauczaniem Kościoła (a więc potrzebna jest jego znajomość) oraz w mądrej jego aktualizacji w praktyce głoszenia Dobrej Nowiny dzieciom.
    The present article is an attempt to answer the question of the limits of preacher’s imagination in children’s Masses. On the one hand, these Masses involve the sacred, both with regard to the venue (the church) and with regard to the major mysteries of faith that are celebrated (the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ). On the other hand, there are the youngest participants in the holy Mass, not yet understanding much of the worship rites performed. The clash of these „two worlds” may sometimes expose preachers to the temptation of using excessively secularised means and methods of introducing the Gospel to the youngest ones. What the author believes to be the limit that prevents this is preachers acting in accordance with the teachings of the Church (which presupposes their knowledge of these teachings) and in their wise actualisation in the practice of proclaiming the Good News to children.
