    The paper aims to show that the Nonneman-Vanhoudt growth model with the n-capital CES macroeconomic production functionis asymptotically stable in a certain environment. The Nonneman-Vanhoudt model of economic growth is conducted with an assumption that the CES production function is described by a system of ordinary differential equations. To investigate the stability of the model, a criterion resulting from the Hartman-Grobman theorem was used. The stability of this model means that if the structure of resources, the investment rate, and the rate of capital depreciation change slightly, the economy will tend toward astationary point that can be regarded as a long-term equilibrium in the considered model of economic growth. The author examines the properties of the growth model and focuses on factors including the growth of labor productivity, equipment and output per unit of effective labor.

    Opis:
    The main aim of the paper was to prove that the complete Black-Scholes-Merton regime-switching Lévy market is characterized by an absence of arbitrage. In the considered model, the prices of financial assets are described by the Lévy process in which the coefficients depend on the states of the Markov chain. Such a market is incomplete; in order to complete this market, jump financial instruments and power-jump assets were added. Then, an equivalent martingale measure was indicated and the conditions were determined so that the above model is characterized by the absence of arbitrage. Arbitrage is a trade that profits by exploiting the price differences of identical or similar financial instruments in different markets or in different forms. Thus arbitrage can be understood as risk-free profit for the trader.
    Głównym celem artykułu jest udowodnienie, że zupełny, przełącznikowy rynek Blacka-Scholesa typu Lévy’ego charakteryzuje się brakiem arbitrażu. W rozważanym modelu ceny instrumentów finansowych opisane są przez proces Lévy’ego, którego współczynniki zależą od stanów łańcucha Markowa. Taki rynek jest niezupełny, co oznacza, że nie każdą strategię inwestycyjną można replikować za pomocą dostępnych instrumentów finansowych. Aby uzupełnić ten rynek, dodano skokowe instrumenty finansowe oraz aktywa potęgowo skokowe. Następnie wskazano równoważną miarę martyngałową oraz wyznaczono warunki, tak aby powyższy model charakteryzował się brakiem arbitrażu. Arbitraż to strategia kupna lub sprzedaży, która przynosi zyski dzięki wykorzystaniu różnic cen identycznych lub podobnych instrumentów finansowych na różnych rynkach lub w różnych formach. W związku z tym arbitraż można rozumieć jako zysk wolny od ryzyka.

    The paper aims to theoretically determine the golden rules of capital accumulation-as defined by American economist Edmund S. Phelps-under the “N-capital” economic growth model based on a uniform macroeconomic production function, Ξ>0. With Ξ=1, the macroeconomic production function discussed in the paper is characterized by constant scale effects (as in the case of neoclassical growth models developed by Solow, Mankiw, Romer, Weil, Nonneman, and Vanhoudt), the authors say, while with Ξ<1/Ξ>1 the scale effects of the production process decrease/increase. The authors show that the growth model analyzed in the paper is characterized by asymptotic stability in a certain environment. The authors also examine the long-run growth paths of basic macroeconomic variables in the analyzed model and identify the golden rules of capital accumulation under the N-capital growth model when the production process leads to scale effects.

    Introduction. The peri-menopausal period is the time of many biological, psychological and social changes. The quality of life of women in this period may be conditioned by many factors, and analysis of these factors may indicate the optimum directions of prophylactic and educational actions. Objective. Analysis of selected predictive factors of the quality of life of women in the peri-menopausal period. Materials and method. The study covered 268 peri-menopausal women. The qualification criteria were: age 45–55, lack of mental disorders and diseases requiring hospitalization during the period of study. The study was conducted using standardized instruments: Women’s Health Questionnaire – WHQ, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and an author-constructed questionnaire. Results. The presented study of the quality of life showed that the women examined felt physically unattractive, lacking the full joy of life, and frequently experienced somatic complaints. Nevertheless, the respondents enjoyed life, had no constant feeling of anxiety and concern. Multi-factor analysis showed that the quality of life in the group of women in the study was affected by the following factors: level of depression, self-reported state of health, occurrence of menopausal symptoms, education level, and marital status. Conclusions. The quality of life of the peri-menopausal women examined was the highest with respect to depressive mood (DEP) and anxiety/depressed mood (ANX), while it was the lowest with respect to the sense of attractiveness (ATT), and somatic symptoms (SOM). In addition, in the group of women in peri-menopausal period the quality of life was conditioned: level of depression, self-reported state of health, occurrence of menopausal symptoms, education level, and marital status.
