A specific problem in the work of a psychologist is caring for the voluntary participation of patients and clients in research. The first part of the article presents and scientifically analyzed the term "voluntary". The concept in opposition to voluntariness is arbitrariness. An arbitrary person is characterized by an optional attitude. Voluntariness, in turn, is an attitude of active participation in one's own life and the surrounding reality. The second part of the article deals with the issue of voluntariness in psychological research. The psychologist must obtain an informed and voluntary decision by the patient regarding his or her participation in the research. The examined person has the right to withdraw from the research at any time. People addicted to alcohol and drugs constitute a specific research group. In the third part of the article, attention was paid to voluntary research of students and children. A special place and significance is played by voluntary activity in research conducted by an academic psychologist on their own students. Voluntariness in children involves not only the cognitive but also the emotional sphere. Therefore, the psychologist must first obtain the child's parents' written consent to participate in the research.

Spośród wielu ważnych cech osobowości podstawowe znaczenie w codziennej aktywności zawodowej psychologa ma asertywność. Samo pojęcie „asertywność” jest często nadużywane i nie zawsze zrozumiałe. Można jednak przyjąć, iż zachowanie asertywne jest odmianą zachowań interpersonalnych wyrażających emocje, uczucia, postawy społeczne, opinie lub prawa osoby. Asertywność jest umiejętnością nabytą, której można się nauczyć. Osoba asertywna jest również nonkonformistyczna. Problematyka asertywności podejmowana jest w podejściu behawioralnym, kognitywnym oraz behawioralno-poznawczo-fenomenologicznym. Psychologowie w swojej pracy dosyć często stosują trening asertywności. Asertywność pomaga w zdobywaniu umiejętności adekwatnego porozumiewania się, negocjowania, otwartego komunikowania emocji i uczuć oraz nabywania osobowego szacunku dla innych. Asertywny psycholog potrafi kwestionować, rewidować i odrzucać teorie i koncepcje, które nie pozostają w zgodzie z konkretnymi faktami. Asertywność odgrywa dużą rolę w terapii osób uzależnionych. Asertywny pacjent/klient jest w stanie łatwiej i szybciej osiągnąć umiejętność radzenia sobie, zwłaszcza w sytuacjach trudnych.
Among the many important personality traits in the daily professional activity of a psychologist, assertiveness is of fundamental importance. The very term “assertiveness” is often overused and not always understood. However, it can be assumed that assertive behavior is a type of interpersonal behavior that expresses emotions, feelings, social attitudes, opinions or rights of a person. Assertiveness is an acquired skill that can be learned. An assertive person is also nonconformist. The issue of assertiveness is undertaken in the behavioral, cognitive and behavioralcognitive-phenomenological approach. Psychologists quite often use assertiveness training in their work. Assertiveness helps in gaining the skills of adequate communication, negotiation, open communication of emotions and feelings, and gaining personal respect for others. An assertive psychologist is capable of questioning, revising, and rejecting theories and concepts that are inconsistent with specific facts. Assertiveness plays a big role in the treatment of addicts. An assertive patient / client is able to achieve the ability to cope easier and faster, especially in difficult situations.

Św. Jan od Krzyża to przedstawiciel złotego wieku mistyki hiszpańskiej. Współpracował ze św. Teresą z Ávili w dziele reformy zakonu karmelitańskiego. Pomimo różnych przeszkód, osamotnienia i uwięzienia św. Jan tworzył arcydzieła ówczesnej literatury mistycznej, która posiada ponadczasową wartość. W niniejszym artykule została podjęta naukowa refleksja nad wybitnymi i fundamentalnymi dziełami Mistrza, takimi jak: „Droga na Górę Karmel”, „Noc ciemna”, „Pieśń duchowa” i „Żywypłomień miłości”. Analiza i interpretacja każdego z dzieł św. Jana od Krzyża dokonywała się według pewnej tezy: Znaczenie duchowości w czasach współczesnych w odniesieniu do twórczości św. Jana od Krzyża. Inspirujące są zatem praktyczne aplikacje wybranych propozycji i doświadczeń Wielkiego Mistrza.
St. John of the Cross is a representative of the golden age of Spanish mysticism. He collaborated with St. Teresa of Avila in the reform of the Carmelite Order. Despite various obstacles, the loneliness and imprisonment of St. John created masterpieces of contemporary mystical literature, which has a timeless value. This article presents a scientific reflection on the outstanding and fundamental works of the Master, such as „The Way to Mount Carmel”, „Dark Night”, „Spiritual Song” and „Living Flame of Love”. The analysis and interpretation of each of the works of St. John of the Cross followed the following pattern: The meaning of spirituality in modern times according to St. John of the Cross. Therefore, the practical applications of selected proposals and experiences of the Grand Master are inspiring.

Niniejszy artykuł ma charakter teoretycznej refleksji odnoszącej się do praktyki zawodowej psychologa. Skuteczna aktywność psychologa wymagawysokich, profesjonalnych kompetencji, ale również wysokich kwalifikacji moralnych. W tym ostatnim kontekście można mówić o dwóch specyficznychwłaściwościach, jakimi są godność i honor psychologa. W kontekście historycznej interpretacji właściwości te wywodzą się z filozofii i kultury starożytnejGrecji, a ponadto mają bardzo długą i zróżnicowaną tradycję. Godność i honor przypisane są ludzkiej, osobowej kulturze, jednakże muszą przez całe życiebyć poddawane procesowi wychowania i samokształcenia własnej osobowości. W pierwszej części artykułu została podjęta analiza problematyki honoru w pracy psychologa, a w części drugiej zostało poruszone zagadnienie godności osobowej w aktywności zawodowej psychologa. Przed każdym psychologiem stoi zatem bardzo trudne zadanie ustawicznej pracy nad kształtem nie tylko swojej osobowości, ale również pełnego bycia integralną osobą. Podjęcie zagadnienia godności i honoru staje się dla współczesnego człowieka czymś niecodziennym, ponieważ świat odrzuca tego rodzaju wartości. Stawia raczej na skuteczność działań, a nie na trud własnej formacji.
This article is a theoretical reflection relating to the professional practice of a psychologist. Effective activity of a psychologist requires high, professionalcompetence, but also high moral qualifications. In the latter context, we can talk about two specific properties, which are the dignity and honor ofa psychologist. In the context of historical interpretation, these properties are derived from the philosophy and culture of ancient Greece and have a verylong and varied tradition. Dignity and honor are assigned to human, personal culture, however, they must be subjected throughout their lives to the processof upbringing and self-education of their own personality. The first part of the article analyzes the issues of honor in the work of a psychologist, and thesecond part deals with the issue of personal dignity in the professional activity of a psychologist. Therefore, every psychologist faces the very difficult task ofconstantly working on the shape of not only his personality, but also being an integral person. Addressing the issue of dignity and honor becomes something unusual for modern man, because the world rejects such values. He focuses on the effectiveness of his actions rather than on the efforts of his own formation.

In the daily professional activity of a psychologist, the issue of his authority is of particular importance. In the first part of the article, the very concept of authority is the subject of scientific reflection. Authority in the proper sense means a person who, thanks to a set of personality traits, in particular competences in a given area, determines the shaping of judgments, opinions and attitudes of another person or social group, recognizing its value. The second part deals with the issue of the authoritarian personality. Authoritarianism describes the actions of the authorities using all means to implement their own, sometimes dogmatically understood political concept and forcing others to behave desired by it. This concept falsified the classical sense of authority. The third part of this article concerns the profession of psychologist in the dimension of authority. A psychologist should take care of his professional and moral authority for the benefit of his patients and clients, observing the basic ethics of the psychologist's profession.

Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest ukazanie znaczenia hortiterapii w pracy z dziećmi z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w stopniu umiarkowany. Hortiterapia jest w Polsce nową metodą mającą charakter wspomagający. Polska nazwa hortiterapii to ogrodoterapia czyli metoda leczenia z wykorzystaniem ogrodów roślinnych. Jej zastosowanie jest bardzo szerokie, ponieważ dotyczy szeregu różnych chorób, zaburzeń psychicznych i niepełnosprawności. W artykule został również podjęta pedagogiczna i psychologiczna charakterystyka niepełnosprawności intelektualnej w stopniu umiarkowanym. Podane są kryteria niepełnosprawności według klasyfikacji DSM-5. Trzecia część artykułu dotyczy aplikacji założeń teoretycznych hortiterapiido konkretnej pracy terapeutycznej z dziećmi niepełnosprawnymi intelektualne w stopniu umiarkowanym. Proponowana metoda odnosi się do sfery fizycznej, społecznej, emocjonalnej i poznawczej.
The subject of this article is to present the importance of hortitherapy in working with children with moderate intellectual disability. Hortitherapy is a newsupportive method in Poland. The Polish name of hortitherapy is garden therapy, i.e. a method of treatment with the use of plant gardens. Its application is very wide because it concerns a wide variety of diseases, mental disorders and disabilities. The article also deals with the pedagogical and psychological characteristics of moderate intellectual disability. Disability criteria according to the DSM-5 classification are given. The third part of the article concerns the application of the theoretical assumptions of hortiotherapy to specific therapeutic work with children with moderate intellectual disabilities. The proposed method relates to the physical, social, emotional and cognitive spheres.

Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu ukazanie miejsca i znaczenia technik projekcyjnych w obszarze nauk humanistycznych i społecznych. Techniki te są przydatne do badania wielu składników osobowości, takich jak: preferencje, potrzeby, cechy zachowania, postawy, motywy oraz wiele innych właściwości. Techniki projekcyjne odnoszą się do jednego z podstawowych mechanizmów obronnych, jakim jest mechanizm projekcji. Wśród fundamentalnych technik projekcyjnych można wyróżnić skojarzenia, uzupełnienia oraz konstrukcje. Mówimy także o takich technikach jak: techniki wizualne, werbalne, graficzne oraz zabawowe. Specyficznym zastosowaniem technik projekcyjnych jest obszar badań psychologicznych na zlecenie organów sądowych. Istotne w tej publikacji jest także zaprezentowanie wad i zalet stosowania technik projekcyjnych we współczesnej praktyce psychologicznej.

The article deals with an important problem of suicides committed in a group of young people during early adolescence. Scientific reflection focuses on three basic issues. The first one deals with the characteristics of early adolescence, the second one deals with the problem of suicide, and the third one deals with the specificity of suicide in people in the period of early adolescence. In this context, an urgent need to develop effective prophylaxis and the creation of modern theories and concepts of suicide should be indicated.

Consecrated life is a specific act which results in the state of making saints what is related to fallen nature. Consecration has its place only in the Church. Consecration is also considered to be the central moment of Eucharistic prayer. There are two basic forms of consecrated life: community and individual. Consecrated persons include both clergy and laity. In addition to religious orders, there are other forms of consecrated life that include associations of apostolic life. Some of the consecrated persons are called to mystical life. For centuries, people of consecrated life have not been free from various difficulties. One of them was a misunderstanding about his nature, what it is. Difficulties also concerned certain causes that occurred inside and outside the ecclesial community. In addition, a lack of understanding of consecrated life can sometimes be seen among consecrated persons themselves.

This article is a scientific attempt to look at the problems of marriage and the family not only through reflection of theoretical nature, but also in the context of conducted student research. The first part of the article contains the theoretical foundations of empirical research by showing a rich perspective of scientific theories and concepts regarding the current condition and scientific understanding of such institutions as marriage and family. For the needs of this work, a systemic model of marriage and family was adopted. The family is an example of a natural system in the aspect of interpersonal relations (individual and social). The second part of the article is an analysis and interpretation of the obtained research results in terms of quantity and quality. The analysis is exploratory in nature based on the answers obtained to the questions contained in the research tool, which was the survey. Then the article contains an extensive summary and specific conclusions. The thesis is not only a compendium of some knowledge obtained in research, but also an ordered scientific concept. At the same time, the article has a pragmatic value because it can serve as an important, specific material for researchers of marriage and family issues, for students of various fields of study and for spouses, parents who are personally interested in these issues.

Currently, one of the significant topics of psycho-pedagogy refers to the issues of value and valuation. Specialists in upbringing analyze not so much the values themselves as the valuation. Valuation, in turn, is the subject of professional activity of professionals from upbringing, but also the young people involved in the research evaluate themselves in the context of their existential choices. Autotelic and instrumental values occupy a special place here. This scientific study refers to two realized goals. The first of these is extremely theoretical in nature, because it is about presenting the latest research relating to the autotelic and instrumental values, including in a special way the health values associated with the research of Polish high school youth. The second goal is practical. Its implementation helps to provide people interested in upbringing to the values of the latest research results.

This paper constitutes a synthesis of the problems of hortitherapy and the problems of the elderly. The aim of this paper is to present the original new idea of using gardens to treat elderly people. Scientific reflection on the above issue is the implementation of the goal in the theoretical as well as practical dimension. This paper refers to the level of psychological and pedagogical analysis. Hortitherapy appeals to the natural human need, namely the contact with the natural environment. Through this method patients can form a relationship with the garden environment in an active and passive way. Contact with nature and observation of its cycles has significant effects on individuals tired of civilization. Hortitherapy is particularly useful for elderly people who are sometimes lonely, suffering and sick. At the same time, they are dissatisfied with their past life and very pessimistic about their future. Interaction with the garden fauna and flora relieves their suffering, allowing them to increase the quality of the physical, social, cognitive and psychological aspects of their lives.

Opis:
Metoda hortiterapii w wychowaniu rodzinnym jest nowym ujęciem w pedagogice. W artykule naukowej refleksji poddano pojęcie systemu rodzinnego, a następnie jego podstawowe właściwości. System rodzinny jest rozumiany jako jedno z podejść rozumienia rodziny. Jest przedstawiany jako naturalny system przejęty z nauk biologicznych i zastosowany w naukach społecznych i humanistycznych. W dalszej kolejności zwrócono uwagę na nowy model terapii, jakim jest hortiterapia, czyli leczenie ogrodami. Jest to nowa forma pomocy stosowana w leczeniu ludzi cierpiących na różne schorzenia, ale przydatna także w terapii rodzinnej. Hortiterapia służy pomocą zwłaszcza w wychowaniu emocjonalnym, uczuciowym, społecznym, moralnym oraz duchowym.
The method of hortitherapy in family education is a new approach in pedagogy. In the article of scientific reflection, the concept of the family system and then its basic properties were subjected. The family system is understood as one of the approaches to understanding the family. It is presented as a natural system taken from biological sciences and used in social sciences and humanities. Next, attention was paid to the new model of therapy, which is hortitherapy or garden treatment. It is a new form of help used in the treatment of people suffering from various diseases, but it also serves in family therapy. This aspect was taken in the last part of the article. Hortitherapy is helpful especially in emotional, emotional, social, moral and spiritual education.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest podjęcie naukowej refleksji nad specyfiką małżeństwa i rodziny jako systemu naturalnego na przełomie XX i XXI wieku. System rodzinny można rozpatrywać w różnych aspektach. Stąd też mówimy o ujęciu socjobiologicznym, psychodynamicznym, uczenia się, ujęcia kontekstualnego oraz o podejściu systemowym. Rodzina, jako naturalny system, posiada swoje właściwości, które jednocześnie stanowią fundamentalne kryteria do jego analizy i opisu. Wśród tych właściwości można wymienić, m.in. takie jak: zasada równowagi sił, tożsamość, zdolność do adaptacji, kształtowanie ról, hierarchiczna organizacja, własności sterownicze, właściwości sztywne, spoistość systemu, organizacja, mechanizacja, centralizacja, dominacja, ekwifinalność, dynamiczność, zmienność, ewoluowanie. Ostatnia część artykułu poświęcona jest istotnym elementom związanych z analizą przemian systemu rodzinnego na przełomie XX i XXI wieku.
The article is to take a scientific reflection on the specific nature of marriage and the family as a natural system at the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The family can be seen in various aspects. Hence, we are talking about terms sociobiological naturalism, psychodynamic, learning, contextual approach and the approach system. The family as a natural system has its own characteristics, which together are the fundamental criteria for its analysis and description. These properties may include such as the principle of balance of power, identity, adaptability, shaping roles, hierarchical organization, ownership control, the properties of a rigid, cohesive system, organization, mechanization, centralization, domination, dynamism, variability, evolution. The last part of the article is devoted to the important elements related to the analysis of the transformation of the family system at the turn of the century.
