The Ni-5%Al alloy coatings and Ni-5% Al-15%Al2O3 composite coatings were obtained by plasma spraying method. The PN120 gun was used. The coatings onto a shaft made of austenitic stainless steel (X5CrNi 18-10) were sprayed. The coatings were subjected to turning, burnishing. The evaluation of corrosion properties were based on the measurements of corrosion current density and corrosion potential (polarization method), the charge transfer resistance and exponent of constant phase element impedance (electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method). Corrosion tests were performed in replacement seawater (3.5% sodium chloride solution). On the basis of studies, the effect of finishing type on the corrosion properties of plasma sprayed coatings has been demonstrated. The lowest corrosion current density was found for Ni-5% Al coatings after burnishing, icorr value equal to 0.96 A/cm2, and the charge transfer resistance was 27007 Ωcm2. The lowest resistance to corrosion of turned Ni-5%Al-15%Al2O3 composite coatings was observed. These coatings were characterized by the following parameters of corrosion process: icorr = 17.64 A/cm2, Rct = 2137 Ωcm2. Burnishing caused increased corrosion resistance of coatings. Due to reduced roughness and waviness are obtained reduction of the area of the actual burnished coatings compared to turned coatings. Thus, it is resulting in reduced values of corrosion current density. After finishing treatment, the plasma sprayed Ni-5%Al-15%Al2O3 coatings characterized by lower corrosion resistance compared to the alloy coating. The presence of the reinforcing phase in the coating promotes the increase of the porosity. The plasma sprayed coatings on nickel matrix had a tendency to localized corrosion in sodium chloride solution.

The flame sprayed coatings are characterized by porosity, oxide inclusions presence and large real area of surface. In order to obtain adequate surface roughness coatings must be applied finishing. For this purpose, the turning and grinding are used. In the paper a burnishing to finishing flame sprayed coatings was proposed. Burnishing is not used during the processing of thermally sprayed coatings, as is commonly believed that this technology causes damage to coatings. Coatings of Ni-5% Al and Ni-5%Al-15%Al2O3 obtained by powder flame spraying were studied. Torch of "Casto-Dyn 8000" was used. After turning the average value of surface coatings roughness coefficient Ra =2.59 mi m (for Ni- 5%Al) mi m and Ra = 3.1mi m (for composite coating) was obtained. SRMD burnishing tool produced by "Yamato" company was used. Roller burnishing was performer on turning lathe. It was found that the increase in burnishing force and the reduction of burnishing speed and feed rate of less roughness of coatings are obtained. For Ni-5%Al coatings the lowest surface roughness, Ra = 0.3mi m was obtained after burnishing with the following parameters: the force - 1100 N, burnishing speed - 28m/min, feed - 0.08 mm/rev. During burnishing of Ni-5% Al-15% Al2O3 coatings applied force 700 N, Ra = 1.31 mi m was obtained. Greater burnishing force caused coatings damage. Burnishing compared to turning has positive influence on the curve shape of the material ratio. It was found that the parameters Rk and Rpk were reduced.

The purpose of this study was the selection of roller- burnishing parameters of surface Ni-Al coatings obtained by "PN 120" plasma torch. Coatings with low surface roughness could be applied as layers increase the service life of torque pumps shaft used on vessels in the sea water systems. After turning, the average surface roughness of plasma sprayed Ni-5% Al coatings was Ra = 0.77 mi m. Their average hardness was equal to the 253 HV 2. It was comparable to the hardness of flame sprayed Ni-Al coatings after the burnishing. Before machining, plasma sprayed alloy coatings were characterized by hardness 206 HV 2. After pre-treatment, plasma sprayed Ni-Al coatings were burnishing. Burnishing parameters were as follows: Vn=28.26 m/min, Fn=1100N, fn=0,08m/rev. Burnishing reduces the surface roughness of coatings as compared to machining. The arithmetical mean deviation of the assessed profile of machined coatings was 0.78 mi m. After the plastic working, the Ra parameter was reduced to a value of 0.28 mi m. Total height of profile of machined coatings was only 2.63 mim. After burnishing, the value of Wt decreased by 0.16 mi m, to the value of 2.47 mi m. Studies burnished surface topography of coatings of Ni-5% Al overlaid by "PN 120" torch revealed the presence of defects stereometric structure. There is the folding. These folding are arranged in the direction of peripheral velocity vector. The observed high folding on the surface of alloy coatings sprayed by plasmatron were lower from the same geometric structure defects on the surface of coatings obtained by flame spraying methods. This follows from the fact that the plasma coating, after turning, characterized by higher hardness of the sprayed coating obtained by and "Roto-Teck 80" method. Thus, exhibit a lower propensity for plastic deformation. After plastic working of plasma coatings, decrease of parameters of the material ratio curve values were observed. For example, the reduced peak height of cut coatings were 1.38 mi m, after burnishing Rpk value fell to 0.23 mi m.

This study of the resistance to contact fatigue of Ni-5%Al alloy coatings and Ni-5%Al-15%Al2O3 composite coatings were evaluated. The coatings were prepared by flame spraying (Casto-Dyn DS 8000 torch) and plasma spraying (PN 120 plasma jet). The coatings were subjected to a finishing treatment: turning, burnishing and grinding. Depending on coatings phase composition and finishing treatment, the parameter mean values of surface roughness (Ra) were in the wide range of 0.28 to 2.61 m. The coatings after burnishing characterized by smallest of surface roughness. The largest value of the parameter Ra was observed in the case of coatings after turning. The presence of the reinforcing phase in the coating increases the surface roughness of thermally sprayed composite coatings. The hardness of coatings also depends on the finishing methods. The minimum hardness equal to 192 HV2 was found in the case of coatings of Ni-5%Al obtained by using a Casto-Dyn DS 8000 gas torch. Burnished Ni-5%Al-15%Al2O3 coatings obtained by plasma spraying characterized by hardness 291 HV2. Resistance of fatigue surface of thermally sprayed coatings on a SCF (standing contact fatigue) test stand was assessed. The test was designed based on the guidelines of the PN-80/H-04324 Polish standard. During the fatigue tests were provided constant contact of co-acting parts, without slipping. Based on the survey it was found that the plasma sprayed coatings (PN120 plasma-jet) have a greater resistance to fatigue then the coatings obtained by flame spraying Casto-Dyn DS 8000 torch. Composite coatings of Ni-5%Al- 15%Al2O3 are more resistant to contact fatigue, compared to the alloy coatings of Ni-5%Al. Burnishing increases the fatigue resistance of coatings when compared to turning. Burnished and polished surfaces are characterized by a similar contact fatigue resistance.

The paper concerns synthesis of a four-bar linkage as a curve generator. Fourier coefficients of the curvature are applied to represent a closed curve. A genetic algorithm (GA) was adapted to solve the problem. The proposed method was successfully verified by many examples.
Rozważanym zagadnieniem jest synteza czworoboku przegubowego jako generatora krzywej. Zastosowano nowy sposób reprezentowania krzywej zamkniętej za pomocą współczynników Fouriera. Do rozwiązania zadania został zaadaptowany algorytm genetyczny. Proponowana metoda została z sukcesem przetestowana na przykładach.

In the paper an assessment of the impact of the thermal spray methods, porosity and the volume fraction of reinforcing phase (aluminium oxide) on the corrosion properties (corrosion current density and corrosion potential) of Ni-5%Al alloy coatings and Ni-5%Al-Al2O3 composite coatings reinforced by particle dispersion was presented. The volume fraction of reinforcing phase in the coatings was 15, 30 and 45%. These materials would potentially be used in the shipbuilding industry as regenerative coatings for repair of marine pump shafts. The samples (substrates) were made of carbon C45 (0.45%C) steel. For thermal spray of coatings, two oxy-acetylene (Casto-Dyn DS 8000 and Roto-Tec 80) torches and one plasma gun (PN120) were deployed. The two distances 100 mm and 150 mm from the nozzle onto the substrate were used. In addition, the two substrate temperatures 150°C or 250°C were applied. Corrosion properties of the coatings were tested in a replacement seawater (3.5% NaCl) by polarization curves method. It has been found that among the independent variables considered: a method of thermal spraying, fraction of reinforcing phase and porosity, the last mentioned has the greatest influence on the corrosion properties of thermally sprayed coatings on the matrix of Ni-5% Al. The value of the corrosion potential of coatings depended on the used thermal spray method. It has been found that the more modern method of producing coatings of the higher velocity of the coating material in a sprayed stream has a significant positive effect on the porosity of the coatings. The presence of the reinforcing phase (Al2O3) in composite coatings contributes to a reduction of value of the corrosion current density and increase of the corrosion potential value.

Na statkach, w instalacjach wody zaburtowej (np. instalacji chłodzenia silników), często wykorzystuje się pompy krętne. Ze względu na trudne warunki ich pracy do budowy tego rodzaju pomp stosuje się materiały odporne na zużycie kawitacyjne oraz korozję elektrochemiczną wywoływaną przez wodę morską. W przypadku wałów pomp najczęstszą niesprawnością jest zużycie czopów (korozyjne, cierne i zmęczenie stykowe) w miejscu montażu uszczelnień (dławnic). Zwiększenie trwałości eksploatacyjnej pomp krętnych można osiągnąć dzięki zastosowaniu obróbki nagniataniem jako technologii, która umożliwia uzyskanie stosunkowo małej chropowatości powierzchni przy jednoczesnym jej umocnieniu zgniotem. Celem badań było wyznaczenie optymalnych parametrów procesu nagniatania i zmniejszenie chropowatości powierzchni czopów wałów okrętowych pomp krętnych wykonanych ze stali odpornej na korozję X5CrNi18-10. Proces nagniatania przeprowadzono nagniatakiem jednorolkowym SRMD firmy Yamato. Podczas nagniatania zastosowano zróżnicowane następujące parametry procesu technologicznego: siła nagniatania, prędkość nagniatania, posuw oraz liczba przejść. Istotny wpływ na zmniejszenie chropowatości powierzchni nagniatanych czopów ma posuw i siła nagniatania. Prędkość nagniatania oraz liczba kolejnych przejść nagniataka wpływają w niewielkim stopniu na gładkość obrabianych powierzchni. Stosując mały posuw fn = 0,13 mm/obr oraz siłę Fn 1,1 kN uzyskano chropowatość powierzchni o Ra= 0,07 m. Następne przejścia narzędzia powodują nieduże zmniejszenie chropowatości. Przyczyniają się one do uzyskania geometrii powierzchni o kształcie krzywej udziału materiałowego zapewniającej hipotetycznie zwiększenie odporności na zużycie cierne jak i polepszenie szczelności wału we współpracy z dławnicą okrętowej pompy krętnej.
Torque pumps are frequently used in the outside water installations of ships (e.g. engine cooling installations). Due to the difficult conditions of their operation, materials resistant to cavitation wear and electrochemical corrosion caused by sea water are used in their construction. In the case of pump shafts, the most frequently occu-ring malfunction is shaft neck wear (corrosion, friction, and contact fatigue) in the vicinity of the seals (pac-king). An increase in the exploitation durability of torque pumps can be achieved thanks to the process of burnishing technology, which makes it possible to achieve a relatively small surface roughness with simultaneous strengthening of the surface through deformation hardening. The purpose of studies was to determine optimal process parameters of the burnishing process and to decrease surface roughness of shaft necks of ship torque pumps made from corrosion resistant steel X5CrNi18-10. The burnishing process was carried out using a SRMD one-roller burnishing tool of the Yamato company. During burnishing the following varied technological process parameters were applied: burnishing force, burnishing speed, advance, and the number of passes. Advance and burnishing force has a significant effect on the decrease of surface roughness of burnished shaft necks. Burnishing speed and the amount of subsequent passes of the burnishing tool have an insignificant effect on the smoothness of worked surfaces. For a small advance of fn = 0.13 mm/rot and a force of Fn 1.1 kN, a surface roughness of Ra= 0.07 m was obtained. Further tool passes cause a slight decreases in roughness. These passes contribute to the achievement of a surface geometry with the shape of the Abbott-Firestone curve hypothetically ensuring an increase in abrasive wear resistance as well as improvement of shaft tightness in cooperation with the packing of the ship torque pump.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań doświadczalnych wpływu wielkości odkształcenia plastycznego na umocnienie i właściwości stereometryczne warstwy powierzchniowej, walcowanych płaskich wyrobów stalowych z naniesioną powłoką stopową Ni-5%Al metodą natryskiwania płomieniowego. Procesy wytwarzania i regeneracji wyrobów z naniesioną powłoką cieszą się uznaniem wśród inżynierów technologów, ze względu na możliwość zwiększenia właściwości eksploatacyjnych warstwy powierzchniowej (wytrzymałościowe, trybologiczne, antykorozyjne i dekoracyjne). Badania wykonano dla gniotów rzeczywistych h = 0,06 i h = 0,12. Badania przyczepności powłok nie wykazały negatywnego wpływu procesu walcowania na ich adhezję do stalowego podłoża. Uzasadnione jest zatem ze względów ekonomicznych i technologicznych, zastosowanie wykańczającej obróbki plastycznej w zamian za obróbkę skrawaniem.
The influence of intensity strain on strain hardening and stereometrical properties at the Ni-5%Al coating alloy was presented. Processes of productions of manufactured product with apply a coating be glad recognition among engineers. It present analysis of experimental research of process rolling double-layer metal plate (steel C45 and Ni-5%Al coating alloy). It carry experimental research for two real rolling reduction h = 0.06 and h?= 0.12. In the paper chance for practical application of plastic working to finishing coating was analyzed. Alloy coatings Ni-5%Al were obtain by flame spraying. These coatings have monophase structures of solid solution. Steel (C45) samples with alloy coatings were cold and hot (950 oC) rolling. During of plastic working was used effective force to obtain of real rolling reduction. After plastic working the adhesion reduction, cracks on the surface and cross- sections of coatings deposited on steel base wasn't observed. The largest value of strain hardening of alloy coating Ni-5%Al was stated after cold rolling of roll face diameter 200 mm. The metallic coatings obtain by thermal flame spraying be characterized by big surface roughness. Studying coating was received average value of parameter of Ra0=13,3žm. The plastic working caused decrease surface roughness. Minimum value of average arithmetical roughness (Ra1) Ni-5%Al alloy coating for real rolling reduction ( h = 0.12) and maximum value of surface roughness coefficient (ChRa) was observed after cold rolling of roll face diameter 200 mm and after hot rolling of roll face diameter 150 mm.

Highly accurate finishing of flame spraying Ni-5%Al coatings was carried out using sliding turning by tool with CBN cutting inserts. Flank (VB) and attack (KB) wear indexes of square and trigonal cutting inserts while maintaining a constant spiral cutting length (SCL) were determined.

Artykuł jest wstępem do serii badań, pozwalających dobrać najlepsze parametry napawania metodą GMA stali C45E drutem CastoMag 4554S. Próbki stali zostały przygotowane oraz wstępnie podgrzane do temperatury 300°C. Plan eksperymentu opracowano na podstawie metody Taguchiego. Celem przeprowadzenia optymalizacji był dobór odpowiednich parametrów technologicznych i uzyskanie najmniejszego udziału materiału podłoża w napoinie. Do analizy wyników wykorzystano regresję wielokrotną oraz metodę Taguchiego.
The article is an introduction to a series of investigations that will allow to choose the best parameters of pad welding with GMA method of steel C45E by wire CastoMag 4554S. Steel samples were prepared and preheated to 300 degrees Celsius (C). The plan of experiment was developed on the basis of the Taguchi method. The purpose of the optimization was to select appropriate technological parameters and to obtain the smallest proportion of the substrate material in the padding weld. Analysis of the results was performed using multiple regression and Taguchi method.

One of methods of regenerating parts of machines is flame thermal spraying, which can be used by ship engine room crew. This method does not require great skill of the operator and is not associated with expensive workstation equipment. Flame sprayed coatings are characterized bv porosity and the presence of oxide inclusions. The presence of pores affects negatively on the corrosion properties of coatings. There is a corrosive environment which may be passed thmugh the pores of the coating to the substrate. This phenomenon is especially dangerous in case of applying cathodic coatings (copper, copper alloys and nickel alloys). The substrate corrosion may then proceed below coating. In the paper researches results of corrosion properties of Ni-Al alloy and Ni-Al-Al2O3 composite coatings were presented. Coatings were obtained by flame spraying of "Casto-Dyn 8000" torch. The studies in 0.01 M H2SO4 and 3.5 NaCl (artificial sea water) environments were realized. Measurements were made following methods: polarization and impedance spectroscopy. Rated coatings are more resistant to the 3.5% NaCl environment than the 0.01 M H2SO4. Corrosion current density for alloy coatings in artificial seawater was 7 miA/cm2 and 232 miA/cm2 environment acidic. Impedance spectroscopy studies showed that the alloy coatings are characterized by more than four times greater resistance in sodium chloride solution than in sulphuric acid solution. Curves flattened in the Nyquist plots may indicate that the appearance of products of corrosion coatings in the pores of the samples during exposure to sea water substitute. The value of corrosion potential in an environment of 3.5% NaCl is about 200 mV lower than 0.01 MH2SO4. Composite coatings Ni-Al-Al2O3 were characterized by a lower corrosion current densities and increased resistance than Ni-Al coatings. This is connected with the operation of non-conducting barrier electrim particles of alumina.

In this article, the impact of selected parameters of heating using a gas torch on the hardness of hardened alloy steels C45 was presented. The staff of the ship's engine room sometimes uses flame hardening during casual repairs of the machines weared as a result of operational extortions. The purpose of emergency repairs is to restore the possibility of work of ship machinery and equipment for the duration of the vessel's journey. An acetylene-oxygen torch was used to heat the steel. As the analysed parameters of the technological process, the heating time and the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece were selected. The values of the mentioned parameters have been selected so that the temperature of hardened steel is in the range from 800 to 1250 oC. The following values of the adopted machining parameters were used: the heating time was 60, 85 and 110 seconds, while the distance of the torch nozzle was 10, 20 and 30 mm. After heating, the samples were cooled by immersing in water. The research was based on a randomized orthogonal experiment plan. The purpose of the quantitative assessment of the influence of heating parameters on the hardness of hardened C45 steel, done statistical analysis variance analysis, multiple regression and mathematical optimization by the Tagichi method. Conducted tests and statistical analysis showed a significant effect of selected parameters of flame heating on the hardness of hardened C45 steel. The greatest influence on the hardness of the steel is the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece. The highest value of hardness was obtained using the following parameters of flame hardening: nozzle distance 30 mm, heating time 60 seconds.

Opis:
An inertially-driven system that slides on a rough horizontal plane due to periodic oscillations of two internal bodies is studied. Three-phase internal motions with piecewise-constant relative accelerations are considered. It is shown that an always forward motion of the robot can be achieved. The effect of the model parameters on the displacement and average velocity of the system is analyzed.

The process of flame sprayed is a technology affordable and easy to implement. It does not reąińre great skill of the operator. This method is not associated with expensive workstation equipment. It may therefore be used with successfor the regeneration of machine parts bv the crew of vessel engine room. Flame sprayed coatings are characterized by porosity, oxide inclusions presence and large real area of surface. In order to obtain adequate surface roughness coatings must be applied finishing. For this purpose, the turning and grinding are used. In the paper a turning to finishing flame sprayed coatings was proposed. Coatings of Ni-5%Al and Ni-5% Al-15% Al2O3 obtained by powder flame spraying, were studied. Torch of "Casto-Dyn 8000" was used. In practice, the substrate and the t herma l ly sprayed coating are processed by the same cutting tool. For example, Messner Eutectic Castolin company offers r\vo types of tools: "Rototool II/" (square insert) and "Rototool III" with a removable cylindrical insert. Average surface roughness of coating after machined tool "Rototool II" was Ra = 3 mi m. This surface often requires grinding. The different tool geometry was suggestedfor better texture of coatings surface. Workpiece was machined by tool with CBN insert WNGA080408S01030A mounted in holder DWLNRL-2525M08 (cutting inserts beta = 80°, approach angle Kr = 95°, nose radius - 0.8 mm, relief angle alfa = 6°, rake angle gamma= -6°). The influence of cutting speed, feed rate, depth of turning on the coating surface roughness was estimated. The following cutting parameters: cutting speed Vc = 45-214 m/m in, feed rate f = 0.06-0.2 mm/rev, depth of cut ap = 0.05-0.3 mm. The lowest value of the roughness of the alloy (Ra = 0.5 mi m) and composite (Ra = 0.8 mi m) coatings were obtained by using cutting parameters: Vc = 214 m/min, f= 0.06 mm/rev, ap = 0.4 mm.
