Opis:: The article is devoted to the problem of the current state of sports complexes of a network of universities in Ukraine. A brief theoretical review of the problem is given. The current trends in physical education are considered. An analysis is made of the compliance of the current state of sports complexes of Odessa universities with the requirements of the educational process and motivational capacity. The analysis of the correspondence of the volume of existing sports spaces with the existing regulatory acts is carried out. Based on the analysis, the directions of further development and improvement of sports complexes of Ukrainian universities are proposed.

Opis:: Kharkiv’s urban development experienced an unprecedented leap at the turn of the 20th century. It was coursed mostly by the economical growth, social change and cultural shift. Kharkiv’s master plan of 1895 inevitably influenced the shaping of the new urban planning and spatial compositions. This research investigates the planning structures of the most remarkable non-ecclesiastical buildings designed by the prominent architect and artist Volodymyr Pokrovsky (1863–1924) in Kharkiv during the 1910s. The authors explore specifically their notable features in context of Kharkiv’s urban development.
