The article attempts to specify the role of logistics in education for sustainable development. The starting point of our dissertation is pointing to the logistic sector as an agent that influences economy, society, wildlife and space. Later in the article, the author points to the fact that if in logistics there are so many possibilities of development sustainability, one cannot miss out the educational aspect of logistics, namely the educational role that the proper logistic policy could play. The article also mentions two conditions that must be satisfied in order for the role of logistics in education for sustainable development to be precisely and distinctly defined. They include the necessity to assume an appropriate paradigm of logistic sector development, the necessity to realize, through sustainable development sectors, ministries of transport and other state administration institutions, the enormous role that logistics can play in development sustainability, as well as the necessity to imprint the intercorrelations that exist between logistics and its surroundings into the minds of those who deal with logistics, by shaping a new role model of logistic qualifications.

W artykule postawiono tezę, że makrologistyka stanowi istotny czynnik wpływający na tempo i dynamikę wzrostu gospodarczego, na poprawę konkurencyjności gospodarek narodowych, a więc może być także traktowana jako czynnik ułatwiający wychodzenie z kryzysów ekonomicznych. Dla potwierdzenia tezy wskazano na: zależności występujące pomiędzy gospodarką a logistyką oraz wyniki badań Banku Światowego dotyczące wydajności logistycznej, które jednoznacznie wskazują, że kraje bardziej wydajne logistycznie mają wyższy poziom wzrostu gospodarczego, stają się bardziej konkurencyjne i w szybszym tempie zwiększają poziom inwestycji. W opracowaniu podjęto także próbę umiejscowienia/uplasowania, ukazania i wyjaśnienia roli makrologistyki jako czynnika wspomagającego wzrost gospodarczy przez pryzmat wybranych teorii i koncepcji ekonomicznych.
This article proposes that macrologistics is an important factor affecting the rate and dynamics of economic growth, as well as improvement of competitiveness of national economies, and therefore can also be considered as a factor facilitating recovery from economic crisis. To confirm this hypothesis, the article points to the interdependence between economy and logistics and research results of the World Bank concerning logistic effectiveness. The results clearly show that countries that are logistically more efficient have higher levels of economic growth, they become more competitive and increase the level of investment more quickly. In this study the author also attempts to locate, show and clarify the role of macrologistics as a factor supporting economic growth through the prism of selected economic theories and concepts.

Owing to the ever-growing role of logistics in the accomplishment of economic, social, and environmental objectives, the author has attempted to define the logistics sector and point to the necessity to separate it as a distinct sector of national economy and a subject of economic statistics. In the empirical part of the article, the author has focused on an approach toward macrologistics of public administration within the European Union and the place of macrologistics in EU policy.

The main aim of this publication is to analyse the United Kingdom’s transport policy in the context of the concept of sustainable development and to assess it on the basis of a juxtaposition of declared actions with actions actually implemented in the transport sector. The starting point for the author’s discussion is the evolution of transport policy. Due to the limited length of this article, the author outlines only the essential points of the policy, which are representative of particular decades from the period of 1950-2013. Further in the article, the characteristics of transport policy are referred to the concept of sustainable development. Pointing to the increasingly popular (in the era of globalization with approaching the limits of the ecosphere, shortening of product life cycle, increase in production scale, increase in absorptive power of logistics including transport) departure from the classical, static concept of sustainable development towards a dynamic approach, the author places the recently conducted British transport policy in the formula, according to which the priority is the attainment of economic goals while meeting the social and environmental constraints. The main theses, which are supposed to be verified by the arguments contained in this publication, lead to the following statements: 1. The declared British transport policy of the 1980s and 1990s differs from the currently implemented transport policy. 2. The lack of implementation of most of the measures proposed in the 1980s and 1990s under the British documentation declarations relating to the transport sector, led to the maximization of: transport congestion; emissions of dust, gases and CO2; noise emissions and increase in economic, social and environmental costs. 3. British transport policy for the 21st century fits well into the dynamic approach to the concept of sustainable development.

The article gives us an answer to the question, whether the enterprise is dependent upon the labor law? How the law affect ways of recruiting, reading documents and selecting candidates? Recruitment documentation consists of resume and cover letter employee. Those documents are the first indirect contact between employer and employee. The next step is to interview the candidate, and finally establish an employment relationship. In this department labor law regulates many aspects: type of contract, duration and benefits such as salary or termination of employment. Labor law is about managing the company organization, personnel department and also about what is illegal.

Logistyka zaczyna odgrywać nie tylko istotną rolę w funkcjonowaniu pojedynczych przedsiębiorstw, ale rośnie także jej znaczenie w skali makroekonomicznej. Zaczyna być widoczne jej oddziaływanie na cały system gospodarczy danego kraju, kontynentu, a nawet świata. Coraz częściej mówi się o wyodrębniającym się i nabierającym znaczenia sektorze logistycznym, jako jednym z sektorów mających udział w funkcjonowaniu przedsiębiorstw/łańcuchów dostaw i w konsekwencji generowaniu dochodu narodowego. Zasadniczym celem niniejszej publikacji jest zaprezentowanie logistycznych uwarunkowań rozwoju zarówno pojedynczych przedsiębiorstw, jak i łańcuchów dostaw. Analizą i oceną objęto infrastrukturalne uwarunkowania związane z transportem: • lądowym (drogowym, kolejowym), • powietrznym (lotniczym), • wodnym (żeglugą śródlądową i morską). Dokonując prezentacji i charakterystyki logistycznych uwarunkowań transportowych, autorzy, punkt ciężkości swoich rozważań przesunęli na aspekt towarowy. Ze względu na tematykę artykułu, kwestie związane z transportem pasażerskim zostały potraktowane marginalnie. Zasadnicza teza, której weryfikacji ma służyć treść wywodów, sprowadza się do następującego sformułowania: ilość i jakość infrastruktury logistycznej kraju jest jednym z istotnych warunków wpływających na rozwój łańcuchów dostaw.
macroeconomic level. Its impact on the entire economic system of a country, a continent and even the world is being exposed more and more. The separate and increasingly significant logistics sector is more and more often seen as one of the sectors participating in the functioning of enterprises/supply chains and, consequently, in generating national income. The main aim of this article is to present logistic conditions for the development of both individual companies and supply chains. The analysis and evaluation cover the following infrastructural conditions including: • land transport (road, rail); • air transport; • water transport (inland and sea). While presenting and describing the transport conditions, the authors shift their attention to the aspect of freight transport. Due to the subject of the article, issues related to passenger transport have been treated marginally. The main thesis, which is intended to verify the content of the arguments, boils down to the following statement: quantity and quality of logistic infrastructure of a country is one of the essential conditions affecting the development of supply chains.

Opakowanie jest ważnym aspektem działań marketingowych w firmach produkujących dania gotowe i artykuły spożywcze. Jest to element, który wyróżnia produkty na rynku i powoduje, że są bardziej atrakcyjne dla potencjalnego konsumenta. Współcześnie opakowanie stało się również ważną częścią przedsiębiorstwa. Zaobserwowany wpływ nowych opakowań na decyzje konsumentów stał się impulsem do podjęcia badań nad tym zjawiskiem. Producenci stosują coraz bardziej oryginalne opakowania w celu uczynienia ich zauważalnymi dla każdego. Opakowania „krzyczą” z półki sklepowej, by wpłynąć na decyzje konsumenta. W artykule skupiono się na wyglądzie opakowań, ich roli jako środka promocji, ich funkcjach oraz projektowaniu, a także na i wpływie, jaki opakowanie wywiera na zachowanie konsumentów.
Packaging is an important aspect of marketing activities in the manufacturing segment of ready meals and groceries. It is the element that distinguishes products on the market and makes them more attractive to a potential consumer. Currently, the package has also become part of the artistic enterprise. The impact of new packaging on the consumer was an incentive to carry out research related to the impact of packaging on consumer’s decisions. Producers use increasingly original packaging, with the main goal of creating packages that are visible to everyone and that "scream" from the shelf to influence consumer decisions. The article focuses on the appearance of the package, the package as a means of promotion, the functions of packaging and packaging design and its impact on consumer behavior.

Druga część artykułu stanowi opracowanie ankiety internetowej dotyczącej zachowań konsumentów wobec zmian, jakie nastąpiły w przepisach i prawach konsumenta.
First art of the article explains the definition of the consumer in the Law on the Rights of consumers. The article also showcases the changes made by the bill in relations between entrepreneurs and consumers. Second part of the article consists of an online survey on the behavior of consumers towards the changes that have occurred in legislation of consumer rights.

Specyficzny charakter działalności operacyjnej oraz wielkość Zakładów Górniczych "Rudna" nieuchronnie wiążą się z obecnością na ich terenie znacznych ilości substancji i preparatów chemicznych, a wśród nich substancji i preparatów niebezpiecznych, które należy traktować ze szczególną uwagą i ostrożnością. Tematem niniejszego artykułu są aktualnie podejmowane w kopalni działania zmierzające do włączenia gospodarowania tymi środkami w zakładowe systemy zarządzania środowiskowego oraz zarządzania bezpieczeństwem i higieną pracy. Wdrażane i doskonalone procedury zarządzania substancjami/preparatami chemicznymi na poziomie kopalni umożliwiają sprostanie aktualnym wymaganiom prawnym, a przy tym stanowią istotny element działań zakładu w kierunku zapewniania wysokiego poziomu ochrony zdrowia ludzi i środowiska.
Due to the specific character of operational activities as well as the magnitude of "Rudna" Mine on the premises of the plant large amounts of chemical agents are present. Among them there are also dangerous substances, which ought to be handle with the greatest caution and call for the special treatment. The present paper focuses on the actions currently undertaken in the mine aimed to incorporate the management of chemical agents into existing systems of environmental management and occupational health and safety management. The adequate procedures of chemical agents management, having been implemented and continuously improved on the mine level, provide tools to cope with the actual legal regulations and simultaneously they stand for an important element of the plant efforts in order to ensure high level of the human health and environmental protection issues.

Opis:
Electron spin resonance (ESR) studies of two antibiotics, Cefaclor and Clarithromycin, have been performed in order to investigate concentration and dynamics of free radicals generated in these compounds due to thermal sterilization. For Cefaclor three combinations of temperature and heating time have been applied: 160°C, 170°C, 180°C for 120 min, 60 min, and 30 min, respectively, according to the pharmaceutical sterilization norm. Clarithromycin has been heated at 160°C for 120 min. The ESR lineshape has been investigated versus microwave power ranging from 2.2 mW to 70 mW. Electron spin-spin relaxation time has been estimated from the ESR lineshape analysis. Concentrations of radicals generated due to different sterilization procedures have been compared with the purpose to select the best sterilization scheme.

Some technical differences between virtualization platforms will be shown. Us-ing the MySQL database we present the efficiency tests. Different hardware platforms were used: PC Intel and different mainframe computers (z/9'series). Usefulness of virtualization techniques was also shown. An example of imple-mentation of MySQL database was used to show the selected areas of usage of virtualization environment. In this document we also show selected architectural and performance comparisons of virtual machines set up on PC (x86/x64) and Mainframe (z/9) platforms.
