Opis:
Pre-sensitized (PS) plates are specially treated and coated aluminium sheets, widely used for offset printing. PS plates used in the Computer to Plate technology require strict quality control of the plate’s edges, disturbed during various finishing processes like cutting on guillotines or slitting. For this purpose a special tests stand had been built by the Silesian University of Technology, in cooperation with one of the largest PS plates manufacturer in the world - FUJIFILM. The paper describes the software, written for the purpose of evaluation of various defects caused during finishing processes.

As we move into a new phase of the internet economy based on knowledge, services, and interactions - and into a new landscape of global competition - the needs and requirements of individual tenants and users within our communities are changing. As a result, real estate developers, service providers and operators must adapt their business processes, create new standards and concepts for sustainable real estate properties. In the very near future, properties will act as a foundation for stronger partnerships between tenants, supply chains, operators and the rest of the players in the value networks within the real estate business. An advanced IP-based network, owned by the developer or outsourced, can serve as a future-ready branding platform and deliver real estate sustainability, a differentiated experience, higher valued space, and new revenues. These communication networks can offer tenants flexibility, and accelerate the development of new business value chains thereby strengthening the social and cultural links among residents, organizations, and businesses.

Przedstawiono badania nad efektywnością mechanicznej obróbki wstępnejsurowców lignocelulozowych – sorgo i miskanta – do produkcji biopaliw II generacji. Wykonano pomiar zużycia energii do rozdrobnienia biomasy sorgo i miskanta, analizę sitową ich frakcji, a także test hydrolizy enzymatycznej i oznaczono zawartość cukrów metodą Millera. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników dokonano wyboru skutecznego i ekonomicznie uzasadnionego sposobu wstępnego przygotowania biomasy sorgo i miskanta do procesu wytwarzania bioetanolu.
The paper presents the studies on the efficiency of mechanical pretreatment of lignocellulosic materials i.e. sorghum and miscanthus for the production of 2nd generation of biofuels. The energy consumption required for fragmentation of sorghum and miscanthus biomass was measured; their fractions were evaluated by sieve analysis. Also enzymatic hydrolysis was tested and the sugar content was determined with the use of the Miller’s method. The results of the tests allowed for selection of efficient and economically viable method of pre-treatment of the sorghum and miscanthus biomass for the production of bioethanol.

In 2011 ITAM has completed work conducted with WIML's representatives to develop a comprehensive method of psycho-physiological pilots' signals and external environmental parameters during a test flight. It has been assumed that data will be collected "off line" during a training flight and stored in the monitoring module's memory, and after the flight it will be loaded to the operator's station system at the airport. The "On line" transmission of chosen parameters directly into a database and ongoing observation have also been anticipated. One of the main assumptions for the system was its independent work from the avionics systems of aircraft used for training. This has made it possible to use the system regardless the type of aircraft equipment and without having the necessity to stringent criteria of aviation hardware acceptance. The recording system has been designed as a distributed system consists of modules carried by the pilot, those placed permanently in the cockpit of the plane, a station for test flight preparation and reading recorded data, as well as a database system accessible via the Internet. Communication between the various system modules is to employ various transmission systems, wired as well as wireless. For safety reasons wireless communication between modules in the cockpit was not used in flight, with the exception of GSM transmission used to transfer selected data directly to the Central Acquisition System.
