    Opis:
    So-called "stiffness operator" for boundary problems of structural analysis is introduced in the distinctive paper. There is a direct analogy between this stiffness operator and corresponding stiffness matrix of the considering structure in terms of finite element method. Namely we can consider stiffness operator as a limiting (continual) generalization of stiffness matrix. The explicit formulation of stiffness operator is presented. Several new variational formulations are discussed as well.

    Opis:
    Detailed and geo-referenced maps identifying the locations of saturated and dry levees can be produced using microwave radiometric measurements from a light aircraft or helicopter, and integrated with GPS for positioning and orientation. The development of synergetic remote sensing technology for raised groundwater and seepage detection by the joint use of microwave and optical data along with GIS databases is an effective and most contemporary way of supporting risk assessment and facilitating disaster prevention and management. In this paper we present a remote sensing microwave technology for monitoring and detection of areas of water seepage through irrigation constructions, levees and dykes as well as for revealing areas with dangerously high groundwater level. The possibility for emergency response mapping, integrated with GPS and GIS data, facilitates the risk assessment and management services. The passive microwave radiometry (PMR) is based on spectral measurements in the millimetre to decimetre range of wavelengths. Compared to other remote sensing techniques, such as colour and infrared photography, thermal images and lidar, PMR is the only technology taking measurements under the earth's surface and therefore is very well suited for water seepage and underground water monitoring in a fast and reliable way.

    The problem of efficiency of electric power companies is quite relevance. The conducted researches in this area are directed on different aspects of activity of the companies. However, the problem of effective management from the point of the competency approach is researched in a less degree. Competency approach is one of the important factors of the success of business projects. The reason is in its effects of the development of organizations, and consequently the business success and profit. The paper gives analysis of significance value of soft skills and self-management skill for effective activity of managers of electric power companies. The authors indicate the high importance of the group of soft skills and self-management skill as one of the base of soft skills for effective manager of electric power companies. Performed research has shown that soft skill and self-management skill are the important property of managers. Soft skills and self-government skill are able to influence the overall performance of managers. The processes of managing of soft skills and self-management skill are becoming important.
    Problem efektywności przedsiębiorstw energetycznych jest dość istotny. Przeprowadzone badania w tej dziedzinie są kierowane na różne aspekty działalności firm. Jednakże problem skutecznego zarządzania z punktu podejścia kompetencyjnego bada się w mniejszym stopniu. Podejście kompetencyjne jest jednym z najważniejszych czynników powodzenia projektów biznesowych. Powodem jest jego wpływ na rozwój organizacji, a w konsekwencji biznesowego powodzenia i zysku. Niniejszy artykuł analizuje znaczenie wartości umiejętności miękkich i umiejętności samozarządzania dla efektywnej działalności menedżerów przedsiębiorstw energetycznych. Autorzy wskazują na duże znaczenie grupy miękkich umiejętności i umiejętności samozarządzania jako jednej z podstaw miękkich umiejętności skutecznego menedżera przedsiębiorstw energetycznych. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że miękkie umiejętności i umiejętność samozarządzania są ważnymi cechami menedżerów. Miękkie umiejętności i umiejętność samozarządzania są w stanie wpływać na ogólną wydajność menedżerów. Procesy zarządzania umiejętnościami miękkimi i umiejętnością samodzielnego zarządzania stają się ważne.

    This paper is dedicated to nonstationary plane-parallel flows of viscous incompressible fluid in finite simply connected domains. Theorem of the solution uniqueness is presented. The method of successive approximation, the Galerkin method and the R-functions method are used to obtain the numerical solution, which was tested on the problem with known solution.

    We report on measurements of samples with nominal composition $FeSe_{0.5}Te_{0.5}$, crystallized by the Bridgman method. Magnetic and transport properties of the samples were examined. The measurements confirm the coexistence of ferromagnetism and superconductivity below the superconducting transition temperature. The ferromagnetic contribution to magnetization, estimated at 10%, might be caused by the presence of ferrimagnetic $Fe_7Se_8$, which occupies about 10% of sample volume. From the Andreev spectroscopy we found superconducting energy gap Δ = 2.6 meV at T = 4.2 K, and from magnetization measurements the critical temperature $T_c$ = 15.8 K. The critical current density in magnetic field H = 4 kOe, determined from magnetization measurements, is $j_c$ = (1-2) × 1$0^4$ A/$cm^2$ and weakly depends on magnetic field intensity.

    This paper is devoted to correct method of analytical solution of multipoint boundary problems of structural mechanics for systems of ordinary differential equations with piecewise constant coefficients. Its major peculiarities include uni-versality, computer-oriented algorithm involving theory of distributions, computational stability, optimal conditionality of resultant systems and partial Jordan decomposition of matrix of coefficients, eliminating necessity of calculation of root vectors.

    Opis:
    Photoelectrical characteristics of scanning IR detectors with implemented time delay and integration mode are analyzed. A new “shifted cellular” layout of photosensitive elements in the FPA structure is proposed. Advantages of the new FPA configuration in terms of threshold sensitivity for small-size/point objects are demonstrated. The analysis is based on the Monte Carlo simulation of the diffusion process of photogenerated minority charge carriers in the photosensitive layer photodiode arrays. The analysis is performed taking into account the main photoelectric parameters of FPA elements: photosensitive layer thickness, diffusion length of charge carriers, optical absorption length, their design parameters: geometric sizes of FPA elements, diameters of p-n junctions, and design parameters of the optical system: optical-spot diameter.
