Opis:
The specific heat of (Cd$\text{}_{1-x-y}$Zn$\text{}_{y}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$)$\text{}_{3}$As$\text{}_{2}$ with low Mn concentration (x ≤ 0.067) and for two Zn contents (y = 0.14 and y = 0.34) has been measured in the temperature range of 1.5-30 K. The magnetic contribution to the total specific heat has been analysed within our generalized pair approximation model which takes into account the complicated tetragonal crystal structure of Cd$\text{}_{1-x-y}$Zn$\text{}_{y}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$)$\text{}_{3}$As$\text{}_{2}$. Assuming that the total Mn-Mn interaction strength is a sum of superexchange and the Bloembergen-Rowland exchange, we have obtained a very good agreement between our approach and experiment by using the analytical formulae with only two adjustable parameters, i.e. the first nearest-neighbour exchange constants for both mechanisms which appear to be strongly dependent on Zn content.

Opis:
The magnetic specific heat of GdNi$\text{}_{2}$Sn$\text{}_{2}$, GdNi$\text{}_{2}$Sb$\text{}_{2}$ and GdCu$\text{}_{2}$Sb$\text{}_{2}$ shows a λ-type anomaly at T$\text{}_{N}$ with a noticeable reduction of the discontinuity compared to that expected for a simple antiferromagnet. It can be associated with the existence of amplitude modulated magnetic structure just below T$\text{}_{N}$. Above T$\text{}_{N}$ a weak magnetic contribution is observed, evidencing the short-range ordering. From neutron diffraction studies it can be also concluded that investigated compounds have not simple antiferromagnetic structures. For GdNi$\text{}_{2}$Sn$\text{}_{2}$ the propagation vector Q=(0.3,1/2,1/2) was found with the magnetic moments along the [1,0,0] axis.

Opis:
In many countries of the Global North, social work developed as an independent profession and discipline in the 20th century. One of the countries in which social work became established as a professional field was Germany. This field's origins go back to the “social question”. The articles in this volume deal with current social work issues, offering an insight into the current state of discussion on each topic in Germany. They all draw attention to the complex interplay between local social work and the field’s expansion beyond individual places and national states, and the interconnections between national societal developments in Germany and those on an international, global level.

Opis:
By characterizing organic molecules of extra-terrestrial origin included in the Sołtmany meteorite, we also present the first results of the non-targeted chemical analysis of the methanol soluble organic matter present in an L6 ordinary chondrite. The structural characterization by means of ultrahigh resolution Fourier transform ion cyclotron mass spectrometry (FT-ICR-MS) with electrospray ionization (ESI) in negative and positive modes demonstrated an unexpected and astonishing chemical diversity with several thousand mass peaks that could be converted into C, H, N, O, S, and P elemental compositions. Molecular signatures were typically those of considerably oxygenated CHO and CHOS molecular series of primarily aliphatic character. 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy confirmed the prevalent existence of pure and functionalized aliphatic spin systems of intermediate chain length (C3-4 units), oxygenated aliphatics and a considerable diversity of oxygenated aromatics in the proton-based abundance ratio near 24 : 2 : 1. Although only residual organic matter allegedly survives in highly thermally altered L6 chondrites, the physical protection of organic matter in microcavities and traps between mineral surfaces might have supported and governed the chemistry with an apparent recalcitrance of extraterrestrial organic matter (EOM). Future studies of the organic matter in ordinary chondrites and its composition and structure in various regimes of (e.g.) temperature, radiation, pressure, and water content could shed light on these meteorites’ formation and evolution.
