    The article attempts to discuss two examples of Danish literary discourse on former Danish colonies on the Gold Coast (Africa). Sophie Petersen’s travel books “Danmarks gamle Tropekolonier”, 1946 (The former Danish Tropic Colonies) and “Vore gamle Tropekolonier”, 1948 (Our former Tropic Colonies) and Thorkild Hansen’s documentary novel “Slavernes Kyst”, 1967 (The Coast of the Slaves) have been analyzed as texts that reveal a part of the Danish colonial and postcolonial (self-)reflection and consciousness. The literary representations of Africa given in the aforementioned books reflect the Danish nation-building project in the respective historical, political and mental contexts (during the Second World War and in the sixties). Petersen and Hansen apply different writing strategies (rhetorical as well as discursive) in their presentations of the Danish history of the Gold Coast, and they seem to represent rather dissimilar approaches to this topic. As a conclusion, the author of the article attempts to answer the question about the role of the African representations in the Danish self-understanding as a nation.

    The aim of the article is to place Maria Helleberg’s book Fremmede naboer (1992) in a broader cultural and literary context and to define its position in the Danish discourse on Poland. The author of the article points out some elements used for creating an image of Poland and confronts the image with the canonical representation of Poland from Georg Brandes’ text Indtryk fra Polen (1888). The result of the comparison mentioned above shows a certain conservatism in the way Poland is presented in Danish literary discourse. The conclusion is supported with references to other texts dealing with Polish matters from the period from 1888 to 2002.

    The article presents the main trends and priorities in the Danish cultural poIicy towards ethnic minorities. First of all, it presents the scope of activity of the Ministry of Home Affairs as the central body in charge of ethnic minorities issues. Secondly, the article focuses on the field of activity of the Ministry of Culture. All of the discussed activities of the culture department took place in the 90's, which can be justified by the intensification of such enterprises in this period. The reflections in the article are based on the three key reports regarding the participation of ethnic minorities in the cultural life of Denmark.

    The aim of the article is to analyze five Danish literary examples (texts by Geeti Amiri, Yahya Hassan, Tarek Omar, Hassan Preisler and Abdel Aziz Mahmoud) in the context of the ongoing public debate on Danishness. The chosen writers deal with a migration experience and they point out the impossibleness of becoming Danish in the eyes of the ethnic Danish society. The notion of Danishness is undergoing changes, but as my reading of the texts has shown, the non-ethnic Danish writers conceptualize it as being founded in a greater degree on the unreachable criterion of being (rather than on knowing or doing) – using Joshua A. Fishman’s categories.

    The aim of the article is to analyze works written by four Polish-Danish authors in terms of defining the poetics they use to communicate their migration experience. The migration experience is to be understood as a never-ending process of translating own identity to a new cultural context. The point of departure for the analysis are selected works of four Polish Danish authors: Alicja Fenigsen, Janina Katz, Bronisław Świderski and Grzegorz Wróblewski. The author of the article discusses also the existence/ non-existence of a specific Polish-Danish migration aesthetic by comparing the analyzed works.

    The aim of the article is to discuss the problem of hybrid identity, as it is presented in Jakob Ejersbo’s “Africa-trilogy” (2009). As the methodological framework for the analysis serve some of the main notions borrowed from postcolonial studies (as hybridity and contact zone), as well as Zygmunt Bauman’s diagnoses on “the liquid modernity” (among others his understanding of identity and his tourist and vagabond metaphors). The latter ones indicate the universal dimension of Ejersbo’s prose, which until now has been read mainly from the postcolonial critique’s position and as a polemical comment on the Scandinavian self-understanding as a region, which has never been included in the colonial project and which sets an example on providing humanitarian aid.

    The article discusses the question of how Nordic literature in translation – as reflected in Polish literary reviews – creates Norden as a place. What kind of imagery (constructed in a continuous discursive process) is projected on the Nordic region, and what purposes does this construction serve? The analysis draws on an understanding of place as a construct based on “body, landscape and culture” (Ringgaard & DuBois 2017:20) and uses concepts taken from imagology and literary reception studies.

    The article attempts to analyze the reaction to the debut of the Danish poet of Palestinian descent Yahya Hassan (Yahya Hassan. Digte, 2013) among literary reviewers as well as in the Danish society. The impulse to write on this topic came after the nomination of Yahya Hassan for the Polish literary prize European Poet of Freedom 2016. The main aim is to explain the extraordinary fame as a writer and as a public person he gained already in the month of his literary debut (100.000 sold books in two months). The analyze will be focused on two fields of interest: the reception of the poetry itself and the writer’s personae.

    The article deals with three travel books (Sorgmunter socialisme (1968), Polen (1970) and Da jeg opdagede Amerika (1986)) written by a Danish graphic designer, writer and political activist Dea Trier Mørch (1941-2001). In focus of the text analysis is the question of poetological aspects, a.o. of the position of the three texts in relation to travel books as a genre and the narrative strategies, which are used by the author to represent the visited countries. As the analysis will reveal, Mørch (as author and protagonist) can be understood as a modern sentimental traveler - both in terms of the structure of her narratives and the existential dimension of her travels.

    Amidst the booming e-commerce industry, the issue of its environmental impact is increasingly being raised. The fight for green solutions has become a hot topic in the wider e-commerce industry. The aim of this article is to determine the goals and challenges of green logistics taking into account the specificity of the e-commerce industry and to formulate conclusions for business practice in terms of green solutions. The research method used in this paper is the literature review, documentary method, the analysis of statistical data and desk research, analysis of industry reports and analysis of legal acts. The research material consisted of scientific publications, as well as Eurostat statistics, domestic and foreign reports, and expert opinions of national and international institutions. The obtained data and ex post results were the basis for own considerations. The results concern the comparison of traditional trade and e-commerce and their impact on the natural environment, the goals and challenges facing current green logistics. Next, the possible solutions for business practitioners are indicated.
    W dobie dynamicznie rozwijającej się branży e-commerce coraz częściej podnoszona jest kwestia jej wpływu na środowisko. Dziś przedsiębiorstwa nie mogą działać wyłącznie dla zysku kosztem środowiska, społeczeństwa, gospodarki, konsumentów i pracowników. Wśród przedsiębiorstw i konsumentów można zauważyć niewątpliwą potrzebę podejmowania ekologicznych działań, które mają znacznie mniejszy wpływ na środowisko naturalne. Z tego powodu walka o ekologiczne rozwiązania stała się gorącym tematem w szeroko rozumianej branży e-commerce. Artykuł poświęcony jest określeniu celów i wyzwań zielonej logistyki z uwzględnieniem specyfiki branży e-commerce. Sformułowano w nim wnioski dla praktyki biznesowej w zakresie „zielonych” rozwiązań. Zastosowaną metodą badawczą jest przegląd literatury, metoda dokumentacyjna, analiza danych statystycznych i desk research, analiza raportów branżowych i aktów prawnych. Materiał badawczy stanowiły publikacje naukowe, statystyki Eurostatu, raporty krajowe i zagraniczne, a także ekspertyzy instytucji krajowych i międzynarodowych. Uzyskane dane oraz wyniki ex post były podstawą do sformułowania własnych rozważań. Zaprezentowane w artykule wyniki dotyczą celów i wyzwań stojących przed współczesną „zieloną” logistyką. W artykule wskazano też możliwe rozwiązania dla praktyków biznesu.
