- In experiment, the activity of water extracts on the vitality and healthiness of sweet and bitter variety of Lupinus angustifolius L. was examined. The materials under investigation were: macerations, infusions and decoctions made from different morphological parts of 40 plant species. The experiment was performed using a filter paper test [1] with the purpose of the estimation of the following parameters: the germination viability, the germination capacity and the seeds infestation. The significance of correlation coefficients at P = 95% were designed with a mark "*" and at P = 99% with two marks "**". The response of the examined lupine crops to the plant extracts used was different in general. The plant extracts most strongly stimula-ting a lupine seeds capacity were as follows: bitter lupine: decoctions from S. hortensis, S. nigra, A. sativum, R. canina: infusions from C. oxyacantha, Z. mays, T. officinale and macerations from R. nigrum, C. oxyacantha, R. canina. sweet lupine: macerations from Q. robur, L. officinale, C. sativum, L. vera; infusions from L. officinale, Q. robur, C. sativum and decoctions from S. hortensis, M chamomilla, C. sativum, E. arvense. and respectively the lupine contamination was strongly reduced as follows: bitter lupine: macerations from C. oxyacantha, M chamomilla, bark of A. hippocastanum, R. canina, F. alnus; infusions from C. oxyacantha, R. canina, M chamomilla, I. helenium; decoctions from bark of A. hippocastanum, S. hortensis, H. officinalis, B. verrucosa; sweet lupine: macerations from C. sativum, L. officinale; infusions from L. usitatissimum, C. sativum, L. officinale, P. sylvestris, decoctions from I. helenium, M officinalis, B. verrucosa, C. sativum, M vulgare. It was observed as well, that the more the examined decoctions reduced a cereal seed contamination, the higher vitality occurred.
