    This article is an attempt to develop a post-humanist model of collecting that will be relevant to the emerging project of archiving the Anthropocene. To reflect on the potential of weak collections in this respect, a case study of Pablo Neruda’s collection of seashells is used. Started in 1939, it continued growing for the next 15 years. Neruda’s collection was unique. Rather than follow strict rules it expanded spontaneously and without a plan. It was never properly stored or studied; however, (or perhaps because of that) it was a perfect example of a practice of collecting that was neither focused on fetishising the objects nor on capitalising on them. The collection has a strong human subject – descending, making room for other weak and minor subjects to be heard and appreciated. Neruda’s collection, or as we may call it, an open assembly of eco-facts invites non-human subjects – such as seashells – to speak up about our common history and share their own narratives. Perhaps a weak collection is the way in which our epoch, the Anthropocene, can and should be commemorated.

    Związek przyczynowo-skutkowy jest jedną z przesłanek odpowiedzialności świadczeniodawcy za zakażenie szpitalne. Jednakże trudności dowodowe występujące w sprawach o naprawienie szkody wyrządzonej pacjentowi z powodu zakażenia szpitalnego stanowią ważną, a zarazem wciąż problematyczną kwestię. Ustawodawca przyjął precyzyjną definicję, w myśl której zakażenie szpitalne pozostaje w funkcjonalnym i adekwatnym związku przyczynowo-skutkowym z udzielaniem świadczenia medycznego. W procesie cywilnym to poszkodowany musi uprawdopodobnić i udowodnić powstanie związku przyczynowego między winą podmiotu leczniczego a zaistniałą szkodą. W procesach medycznych sąd może, po rozważeniu całokształtu okoliczności sprawy, uznać za wystarczający wysoki stopień prawdopodobieństwa, nie wymagając ścisłego i pewnego udowodnienia, jaką drogą organizm został zainfekowany, taki bowiem dowód – ze względu na właściwości procesów biologicznych – często nie jest możliwy do przeprowadzenia. Zatem jeżeli brak możliwości ścisłego udowodnienia związku przyczynowo-skutkowego pomiędzy zakażeniem a szkodą w postaci rozwoju choroby, będący wynikiem obecnego stanu wiedzy medycznej, winien zostać rozważony na płaszczyźnie art. 6 i art. 361 § 1 k.c. Powyższe ograniczenia dowodowe i charakter spraw, w których występują, skutkują także swoistym przemieszczeniem ciężaru dowodu. W przypadku nierealnego wymogu ścisłego udogodnienia, jakimi drogami infekcja przedostała się do organizmu, jeżeli strona pozwana twierdzi, iż mimo ustalonego stanu rzeczy infekcja pochodzi z innych źródeł, ciężar dowodu przesuwa się na pozwanego, czyli podmiot leczniczy.
    Cause-and-effect relationship is one of the premises of a provider's liability for a hospital-acquired infection. However, the evidentiary difficulties involved in dealing with the damage caused to a patient by a hospital infection are both important and still pose an issue. The legislator has adopted a precise definition in which hospital infection remains in a functional and adequate cause-and-effect relationship with the provision of medical care. In a civil process, the injured person must be able to prove and establish a causal link between the fault of the subject and the injury. In medical trials, the court may, after considering the circumstances of the case, acknowledge probability to be sufficiently high, without requiring a strict and certain proof of how the organism was infected, because such proof is often impossible to obtain for biological reasons. Therefore, if there is no possibility to prove the cause-and-effect relationship between infection and the damage in the form of disease progression, as a result of the present state of medical knowledge, it should be considered at the level of Art. 6 and Art. 361 paragraph 1 of the Civil Code. The above limitations of the evidence and the nature of the cases in which they occur also result in a specific displacement of the burden of proof. In the case of unrealistic strict requirements, the means by which the infection has entered the body, if the defendant claims that, despite the established condition, the infection is from other sources, the burden of proof is shifted to the defendant, that is, the therapeutic agent.

    Opis:
    Health security corresponds to a subjective feeling of no threat in connection with the use of health services. It is the result of taking action to prevent the occurrence of hazards that may lead to deterioration or loss of health or life. One of the factors shaping the level of health security is the implementation of information obligation by persons performing the medical profession, which is correlated with the patient’s right to information about the health condition and possible threats, which, in turn, determines the proper implementation of all other patients’ rights, in particular the right to express informed consent to medical intervention.
    Bezpieczeństwo zdrowotne odpowiada subiektywnemu poczuciu braku zagrożeniazwiązanego z korzystaniem ze świadczeń zdrowotnych. Jest wynikiem podejmowania działań mających na celu zapobieganie wystąpieniu zagrożeń mogących doprowadzić do pogorszenia lub utraty zdrowia bądź życia człowieka. Jednym z czynników kształtujących poziom bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego jest realizacja przez osoby wykonujące zawód medyczny obowiązku informacji, który jest skorelowany z prawem pacjenta do informacji o stanie zdrowia i mogących wystąpić zagrożeniach, co warunkuje właściwą realizację wszystkich pozostałych praw, a w szczególności prawa do wyrażania poinformowanej zgody na interwencję medyczną determinującej poczucia bezpieczeństwa.

    The first edition of one of the most important and mysterious novels of the 20th century appeared more than fifty years ago. Despite the passage of time The Master and Margarita still enjoys popularity; it also intrigues and inspires. Until now five Polish translations of Bulgakov’s novel have appeared. It is known that the interpretation of the original might be expressed in the form of many potential texts that are communicatively equivalent. There is no doubt that it is the translator who plays a vital role in any translation; her/his personality, life experience, knowledge, skills, and also the times s/he lives in regulate the target text. That is why, no matter how many times a text is translated, the final product will always be different. Taking this into consideration, the author will compare the three Polish translations of Bulgakov’s Master and Margarita, paying attention to the diachronic perspective as far as linguistic norms are concerned, the modernity of language, and the way the anthroponyms are expressed.

    Nowadays the publishing market offers five Polish translations of Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel Master and Margarita, which appeared in the space of almost fifty years. The objective of the article is to concentrate on the way the components of third culture are rendered in the translations mentioned above. The author tries to draw the readers’ attention to the analogies and discrepancies within the translators’ choices. The analysis covers the names of natural phenomena, names of traditional culture phenomena, both material and spiritual, as well as the names of social and political life phenomena.

    The paper analyzes the presence of the remains of ammonites and belemnites in the stones used to build the elevations of houses in modern Polish cities. The process of aestheticizing buildings is the reason for fossilized cephalopods being moved from the natural environment into urban space. I consider whether the use of such materials leads merely to making the buildings look more attractive or if this process provides an opportunity to interpret these buildings in an alternative way, which goes beyond aesthetic categories and is related to the fact that the fossils have been moved from the natural world into the cultural sphere. The limestone elements of architecture also allow one to look at the city as a unique museum of cultural and natural history.

    Teenage sociolect very rapidly reacts to everything that is happening around us, and, consequently, gives an up-to-date view on the way of perceiving the world by a specific group of people using particular terminology. This paper is an attempt to briefly describe the development of teenage sociolect, which is a highly interesting language phenomenon ,and to systemize the sources of lexical units, which describe the person with intellectual deficits, as well as to depict the process of forming these units within lexical semantics.

    Karta Polaka jest dokumentem potwierdzającym przynależność do Narodu polskiego. Jednocześnie przyznaje jej posiadaczowi określone uprawnienia i przywileje, z których może korzystać podczas pobytu w Polsce. Obowiązujące przepisy prawa uprawniają posiadaczy Karty Polaka między innymi do korzystania z bezpłatnych świadczeń opieki zdrowotnej, udzielanych niezwłocznie, w stanach nagłego zagrożenia zdrowotnego. Tym samym ustawodawca realizuje w praktyce konstytucyjną zasadę ochrony zdrowia, rozumianej jako prawo do zachowania życia i jego ochrony, gdy jest ono zagrożone. Jest to prawo podstawowe, wynikające z przyrodzonej i niezbywalnej godności człowieka, którego nie można kwestionować, a ani w żaden sposób ograniczać. W niniejszym opracowaniu omówiona zostanie zatem relacja Karty Polaka do problematyki realizacji prawa do ochrony zdrowia i dostępu do świadczeń opieki zdrowotnej, z uwzględnieniem opieki w okresie ciąży i okołoporodowej. Rozważania zostały oparte na stanie prawnym aktualnym na dzień 16 sierpnia 2019 r.
    The Pole’s Card is a document confirming belonging to the Polish Nation. At the same time, it grants its owner specific rights and privileges that he or she can use during their stay in Poland. The current law entitles holders of the Pole’s Card to, among others, benefit from free and immediate healthcare services provided in an emergency. Thus, the legislator implements and puts into practice the constitutional principle of health care, understood as the right to care for a person’s life and protecting them when they are threatened. This is a fundamental right that results from man’s inherent and inalienable dignity, which cannot be questioned or limited in any way. This report will, therefore, discuss the relationship of the Pole’s Card to the issue of exercising the right to health protection and access to health care services, including pregnancy and perinatal care. The considerations were based on the current legal status as of August 16, 2019.

    Business entities are obliged to keep accounting records in accordance with specific and internally adopted accounting principles (policy) whose basic element is a chart of accounts. Entities are obliged to follow the adopted accounting principles in a reliable and transparent way and to present a financial situation, a financial result and the non-financial aspects of business activities.. The purpose of the article is to define the essence of the organization of accounting principle (policy) in a business entity and to describe desirable changes in the accounting policy and a chart of accounts as a condition for adapting a business entity to including environmental aspects. Apart from the introduction and the conclusion, the article includes three elements focusing on such issues as: accounting as a generator of information on environmental protection, a theoretical analysis of the organization of accounting principles (policy), and a model perspective of environmental accounting principles (policy) and a sample chart of accounts.
    Jednostki gospodarcze zobligowane są do prowadzenia rachunkowości zgodnie z określonymi i przyjętymi wewnętrznie zasadami (polityką) rachunkowości, której podstawowym załącznikiem jest plan kont. Wzrastające zainteresowanie ochroną środowiska oraz działalnością proekologiczną przedsiębiorstw determinuje zmiany w organizacji współczesnych podmiotów gospodarczych. Cele artykułu to określenie istoty organizacji zasad (polityki) rachunkowości w jednostce gospodarczej oraz charakterystyka pożądanych zmian w polityce rachunkowości i planiu kont jako warunku dostosowania jednostki gospodarczej do ujmowania aspektów środowiskowych. Osiągnięciu tego celu podporządkowano układ artykułu oraz wykorzystane metody badawcze obejmujące studia literatury przedmiotu oraz analizę opisową. W artykule, poza wstępem i zakończeniem, wyodrębniono trzy punkty poświęcone zagadnieniom rachunkowości jako generatora informacji o ochronie środowiska, teoretycznej analizie organizacji zasad (polityki) rachunkowości oraz modelowemu ujęciu środowiskowych zasad (polityki) rachunkowości wraz z prezentacją wzorcowego planu kont.

    Sustainable development means a development model in which meeting the current needs of society and the needs of future generations is treated equitably. The concept of sustainable development was created in opposition to the development of the traditional development. It was a criticism of the current development model, which was based on the unlimited exploitation of natural resources and environmental degradation. The article’s objective is to present the achievements of economic theory in the evolution of the concept of sustainable development. The author asked herself a few questions: (1) What is the relationship between the economics of sustainable development and the economics of forestry?; (2) Did the economics of sustainable development have an impact on the development of sustainable forest management, or rather forest economics created the foundation for sustainable development? To accomplish such a research task, there was the analysis of Polish and foreign literature used.
