    The linguistic image of God in the poetry of Zbigniew Jankowski is not homogenous. God is presented differently and it is combined with changes of the lyrical speaker’s attitude towards Absolute in different writing periods. The linguistic image of God is complex, because the poet rejects the Judeo-Christian tradition and also recalls it. God in the analyzed texts is omnipresent, unknowable and shapeless existence, then transforms into perceptible area, then God transforms into area that is natural element and at least he becomes a sea. In the all mentioned images God is Nameless. When the Creator becomes human like, a man searching for the God starts closer relationship with him. There are several individual descriptions which not only name the God, but also indirectly characterize him and his attitude towards creation. These descriptions evoke the tradition of naming of the God that takes its origin in the Bible. The evolution of the ways of naming and addressing the God in different writing periods of Zbigniew Jankowski’s poetry is an important element of the linguistic image of God and it also presents the system of the poet’s values.

    The authors have made an inevitable transitoriness in the poetry by priest Jan Twardowski into the theme of their article. The poet stresses that not only people are subject to unavoidable passing of time but also their feelings, the seasons, the surrounding nature, towns, buildings or just ordinary objects. All earthly creatures and organisms are mortal, but only man feels sadness on realizing transitoriness of their material existence and passing away of other beings. Transitoriness, however, is considered by priest Twardowski as something positive, as being happiness. Human life on earth is short, transitory, always heads towards unavoidable death, which is not the end, though, but transition to another life, a moment of achieving knowledge, getting to know God, the experience of true love. Human life in the poetry of Twardowski is most often presented as a way, a pilgrimage, whereas death is depicted as passing through the gate of life, a border crossing; a journey. The quality of life depends on the choices made by people and on the values they adopt. Life and death, worldliness and supernaturality, time and eternity, heaven and earth, similarly to hope and despair, love and loneliness, joy and pain, faith and the lack of it—form a unity; only when we experience them all, can we find a true sense of existence.

    Opis:
    Searching of God in the poetry of Anna Kamieńska has a few aspects: silent dialogue, experience of pain and mutual relations between God and a human being. This is a process which makes God’s image change and evolve. Besides apparent contradictions, particular images are combined and complete each other. The most expressive in Kamieńska’s poetry is the image of God of Silence. It shows that silence is the only condition that enable us to experience God’s presence. There are also other images of God such as: God of Light and Darkness and God present in pain. The usage of contradiction and paradox existing in the description of God is the characteristic feature of this poetry. What is more, such means creating the image of God are the evidence that God will always be a mystery for a human being, even if we are still trying to find out more about this Mystery and unify with God.

    The article presents the linguistic mechanisms used by the poet Urszula Kozioł to play poetic linguistic games with her readers. Based on selected poems, the article discusses the ways of employing means from various levels of the language system, including the phonetic, morphological, inflection, syntactic and semantic systems. It is pointed out that U. Kozioł’s linguistic games are often based on complex etymological and word-building mechanisms. As a result of these, the poetry is full of unexpected, often ambiguous word forms that surprise the readers with their unconstricted morphological and phonetic form with frequently unspecified and unclear meaning, making room for new, often non-standard interpretations.

    The aim of this paper is to present the linguistic image of love derived from the wedding sermons published in the Internet. The idea of love is rarely defined in the analyzed texts and it is rarely presented in different aspects. Love is presented in the positive way by repeating the same, mostly conventionalized metaphors. What is more, the idea of love in the analyzed texts is stereotyped and schematic, because the authors of sermons refer to the common texts such as St. Paul Hymn to Love or different examples from everyday life. On the on hand, language of the sermons resembles the science and theological language that is not understandable for recipients, and on the other hand it is colloquial with the huge amount of expressive words.

    Family in the sermons and letters written by John Paul II is presented as a community of people that are gathered by love. It is also a sign of unselfish and common God’s love towards people. Love is the idea that is mostly used by the Pope in his texts, because he claims that love is a spiritual center of the family, love is the foundations of the origin and development of family. Love becomes also a source of peace and happiness for parents and their children. John Paul II highlights the need for closeness that is typical not only for the family members, but also for the members of the society, nation and the Church. In the linguistic image of the family that is presented in the texts of John Paul II the most often profiles may be indicated: family is a sanctuary of life, family is a community of life and love, family is a school of humanity, the school of love and social life, family is the domestic church, family is the way. Family as a community of love is the smallest institution that brings life, defends the life, creates an identity and transmits the worlds of values, language, culture and truths of faith to the following generations. Family decides about the future of the nation, country and the Church.

    Symbolika religijna ma bogatą treść, wiele powiązań intertekstualnych i mocno zakodowana jest w świadomości wielu odbiorców. We współczesnej reklamie nawiązania do religii pełnią przede wszystkim funkcję perswazyjną, zachęcają odbiorcę do nabycia określonych towarów lub skorzystania z oferowanych usług. Sacrum w reklamie świątecznej występuje jednak coraz rzadziej, jego miejsce zajmują odwołania do zwyczajów wigilijnych, regionalnych tradycji. Przekazy reklamowe ulegają procesom unifikacji i globalizacji, dzięki czemu są znane i zrozumiałe prawie przez wszystkich. Wykorzystywane w spotach reklamowych elementy ze sfery sacrum wchodzą do sfery profanum pod wpływem szeroko rozumianego kontekstu, najczęściej podlegają wtedy reinterpretacji i laicyzacji. Tylko pojedyncze przykłady pokazują, że proces ten może ulec odwróceniu i coś, co wydawało się już wyłącznie świeckie, komercyjne może powrócić do sfery sacrum.
    Religious symbols are characteristic for their rich semantic content and many intertextual connections. What is more, religious symbols are strongly embeded in many consuments' minds. In modern advertising the references to religion have mainly persuasive function, as they encourage each recipient to purchase certain goods or to make use of the offered services. Sacrum in Christmas advertisements is rarely presented, because it is very often replaced by regional Christmas customs and traditions. Advertisements undergo different processes of unification and globalization, so they are known and understood by almost every receipient. Elements of sacrum used in commercials enter the profane area and this process is caused by the semantic context that leads to reinterpretation and secularization of the sacrum elements. Only few examples present that this process can be reversed and something that have seemed to be secular becomes sacralised in the advertisements.

    The poetic texts of priest Pasierb present a peculiar sensitivity to the names of colours. The author of Koziorożec ( Capricorn ) paid particular attention to the role  of light, hence his works present a separate category of expressions regarding light and darkness, flash and brightness. It is the result of, among others, the culturallyconditioned evaluation of light and dark and the related axiological attitude towards the world. Also present are numerous lexemes situated in the lexical field of, for instance, red, yellow, golden, blue, black and white. The collected material shows that the names of colours present in Pasierb’s works do not so much name reality as co-create the mood of particular texts, creating as a result a set of delicate poetic impressions.

    Pojęcie ojczyzny w tekstach homilii wygłoszonych przez Ojca Świętego w czasie Jego pielgrzymek do Polski sytuuje się w czterech podstawowych wymiarach: przestrzennym, wspólnotowym, kulturowym oraz duchowym. W aspekcie pierwszym ojczyzna dla Jana Pawła II to kraj, państwo, w którym się urodził, którego jest częścią i który wywołuje pozytywne emocje. W wymiarze drugim ojczyzna to dobro wspólne: religia, historia, tradycja, kultura, język, szkolnictwo, nauka, jak również łączące rodaków świadomość doznawanych cierpień i niepokój o przyszłość. To także obowiązek, moralny imperatyw, by czynić jej dobro, być gotowym do ofiar. Ojczyzna jest dla Papieża również jak bliska osoba, matka, która wiele wycierpiała, którą pragnie chronić, wobec której odczuwa miłość, szacunek i wdzięczność. Przede wszystkim jednak ojczyzna w tekstach Jana Pawła II to ludzie, rodacy, którzy mimo dzielących ich różnic czują się solidarni pochodzeniem, ludzie stanowiący wspólnotę oraz żyjący według określonych zasad etycznych.
    The concept of homeland in the homilies delivered by Pope John II during his pilgrimages to Poland has four basic dimensions: spatial, communal, cultural, and spiritual. In the first aspect, Pope John Paul II saw the homeland as the country where he was born, of which he is a part and which evokes positive emotions. In the second dimension, the homeland is a common good: the religion, history, tradition, culture, language, education, science, as well as the awareness of suffering and anxiety about the future shared by the fellow countrymen. The homeland is also a duty; a moral imperative to do good and be ready for the related sacrifice. The pope considered the homeland a close person, a mother who suffered a lot, whom he wanted to protect and for whom he felt love, respect and gratitude. Above all, however, in Pope John Paul II’s texts the homeland revolved around people, his fellow countrymen who felt loyal to each other owing to their origin and despite the differences between them. People who build a community and live according to ethical norms.

    In the article, the author presents issues related to developing functional communication in both verbal and non-verbal children with autism spectrum disorders. The most important strategies that can be used when working with ASD children are discussed, such as claiming an object or an action, making a choice or asking questions. At the same time, the author underlines the importance of early intervention in small children with autism which may improve their abilities when it comes to learning, playing and communicating as well as their social skills. It may also help in the area of problematic behaviour, such as fits of anger or aggression. Teaching an ASD individual to communicate in a functional way equips them with a tool for expressing their needs and emotions. It also influences their relations with other people, allowing them to fully participate in social life.

    Opis:
    There are many elements of colloquial speech in poetry of Jan Twardowski which belong to different subsystems of a language, such as: lexics and semantics, phraseology and syntax. A large amount of lexics includes words with antropocentric meaning which exist in every variant of language. But the major part of the lexics is colloquialisms with emotional meaning. The most often they have expressive and pragmatic function. Imitating oral language has also an impact on the structure of Jan Twardowski’s poetry. The poet uses colloquial elements for breaking language conventions and in this way he creates a new kind of metaphisical poetry. Using colloqiualisms apart from elements becoming from other variants of language causes an increase of semantic potention of this poetry. It also creates a new perspective that is not charateristic for the linguistically homogenious texts and enables this poetry to get to the larger amount of readers, including even these who don’t believe in God.
