    Knowledge management is the concept concerning the question how to use knowledgein the most efficient way within an organization and creating and managing new knowledgewhich allows for improving efficiency of a modern organization. The author of the article hasmade an attempt to clearly present the concept of knowledge management. She has described and defined its main presumptions and has made use of economic science in order to explain howmanagement is understood in economy.     Opis:
    Every branch of science, including foreign language teaching, is connected with different disciplines. Interdisciplinary relations, on the one hand, seem to be a challenge since methodological approach and interpretation of scientific issues do not always help to solve the problems of the other scientific discipline. Yet, on the other hand, building the scientific relations that cross the boundaries of disciplines has undoubtedly its cognitive values. An attempt to present such a boundary between foreign language teaching and economical sciences is made in this article. The author presents the concept of knowledge management ponders over its transfer from economical science to foreign language teaching. Considering the broadness of the concept, the author limits herself to discussing “knowledge” and “management” as the two creating it components. A certain attempt to explicate the concept of foreign language teaching management is presented in the conclusion.

    Myślą przewodnią niniejszego artykułu jest odejście od monokultury metod nauczania języków obcych w kierunku różnorodności metodycznej. Koncepcją wyrażającą ten trend jest Balanced Teaching – podejście, które odrzuca konkurowanie i faworyzowanie metod nauczania języków obcych zorientowanych na kategorię hermetyczności i otwartości. Balanced Teaching zakłada ich współistnienie oraz proponuje zachowanie równowagi pomiędzy nimi w nauczaniu języka obcego.
    The article is devoted to the diversification of foreign language teaching methods. The Balanced Teaching approach accurately represents this approach since it rejects competition between the foreign language teaching methods which focus either on hermeticism or on openness. Balanced Teaching assumes their coexistence and suggests their remaining in balance in foreign language teaching.

    Die Zukunft der ‚Landeskunde‘ wird kulturwissenschaftlich geprägt sein. Die Kulturwissenschaften haben einen Paradigmenwechsel von der traditionellen ‚Landeskunde‘ zu einer kulturwissenschaftlichen Forschungsdisziplin eingeleitet. Wie sieht diese Metamorphose der Landeskunde aus und wohin kann sie führen? Der Beitrag versucht, diese Frage zu beantworten.  
    Przyszłością dla ‚Landeskunde‘ jest perspektywa kulturoznawcza. Kulturoznawstwo dokonało zmiany paradygmatu z tradycyjnego ‚Landeskunde‘ na dyscyplinę naukową zorientowaną kulturoznawczo. Jak wygląda ta metamorfoza ‚Landeskunde‘ i dokąd może prowadzić? Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą odpowiedzi na to pytanie.
    The future of ‚Landeskunde‘ is the perspective of cultural studies. Cultural studies have changed the paradigm of traditional ‚Landeskunde‘ to a scientifically oriented field of studies. How does this metamorphosis look and where may it lead to? The article is an attempt at answering this question.
