W artykule przedstawiono stan struktury wiekowej samochodów osobowych w Polsce, przyczyniający się do wzrostu ilości pojazdów wycofanych z eksploatacji, a więc także masy odpadów samochodowych. Omówiono możliwość wykorzystania wybranych odpadów pochodzących z demontażu pojazdów wycofanych z eksploatacji do produkcji paliw alternatywnych, jako sposób ich odzysku energetycznego, prowadzącego do zmniejszenia ilości odpadów przeznaczonych do unieszkodliwienia poprzez składowanie.
The article presents the current state of age structure of passenger cars in Poland. This contributes to an increase in exploited vehicles and wastes mass from dismantling stations. Also, the article presents possibilities for utilization of selected wastes from dismantling of exploited vehicles to produce alternative fuels. The processing of waste to alternative fuels contributes to a reduction in the amount of wastes which are intended for disposal by land filling.

Opis:
Praca dotyczy wyznaczenia i porównania parametrów konwekcyjnej wymiany ciepła dla bryły o regularnym kształcie przy jej wymuszonym opływie płynem nieściśliwym, dla dwóch przypadków płynów o różnych właściwościach fizycznych. W niniejszym przypadku przedstawiono i poddano analizie wyniki obliczeń numerycznych zagadnienia stacjonarnego opływu walca i prostopadłościanu. Analizowano modele numeryczne przejmowania ciepła w dwóch cieczach: wodzie i etanolu. Badano trzy różne orientacje obiektu wobec napływającego płynu. Obliczenia przeprowadzono dla wybranych prędkości płynu z zakresu 0,01 m•s–1 do 1 m•s–1 przy użyciu programu ANSYS. Wyznaczone wartości współczynników przejmowania ciepła, charakteryzujące konwekcyjną wymianę ciepła pomiędzy płynem a ciałem stałym, odniesiono do wartości uzyskanych na podstawie zależności kryterialnych. Wyniki wykonanych badań i analiz stanowią dopełnienie studiów dotyczących uwarunkowania metrologicznego zmodyfikowanej metody monotonicznego wymuszenia cieplnego, stosowanej do wyznaczania dyfuzyjności cieplnej – w danym przypadku dla próbki walcowej i prostopadłościennej, przy skokowej zmianie temperatury powierzchni próbki. Ponieważ metodami symulacji numerycznych objęto również przypadki nieobjęte zależnościami kryterialnymi, uzyskano w rezultacie dodatkowe potwierdzenie poprawności proponowanej metody badań.
Problem of a heat transfer from a certain solid object under forced convection of thermostatic fluid has been discussed. The analysed objects were a cylinder and a cuboid. They were studied while subjected to a stationary fluid flow at different angles of attack. Several values of the inflow velocity ranging from 0.01 m•s–1 to 1 m•s–1 have been taken into consideration. The analysed fluids were of the water and the ethanol properties, respectively. The analysis has been performed applying the CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics) ANSYS code. The obtained results complement results of previous analytical studies that had created of a theoretical background for the modified step heating i.e. regular heating regime. In addition, they confirmed a good metrological condition of the developed procedure.

The multiferroic $GaFeO_3$ synthesized by a sol-gel method and conventional solid state reaction show remarkably different magnetic transition temperatures. Both samples have orthorhombic crystal structure $Pc2_1n$. Results of a new analysis of neutron diffraction and Mössbauer data are presented. Full agreement between parameters was achieved using the Mössbauer data as the constraints in the refinement of neutron diffraction data at low and at high temperature. Magnetic moments are reported.

Opis:
The influence of the dipolar as well as crystal field interaction as the main reasons of the noncollinearity and incommensurability of the 3d-3d-3p alloy belonging to ThMn₁₂ family is investigated. Available data on the single crystal neutron scattering experiments for ScFe₄Al₈ compound are discussed. The values and directions of the spin ordering found by magnetic diffraction are compared to that one derived from ground state configurations obtained by a simulated annealing algorithm.

Opis:
A numerical model for analysis of thermal and mechanical loads of a rocket motor has been developed. This model of a solid propellant motor corresponds to a short range, fast lunch and cruise type missile. It has been elaborated using the Finite Element Method (FEM) incorporated into commercial Comsol/M code. The experimental data on the thrust profile have been utilised to develop proper initial and boundary conditions for forgoing numerical calculations. The studies have been focused on the temperature and stress evolution within the case and nozzle section of the rocket engine. A special attention has been paid to the graphite insert of the rocket motor throat. The performed analyses proved effectiveness of the modelling methodology that will be applied to investigations of the modified motor performance.

X-ray diffraction measurements and Mössbauer spectroscopy with and without external magnetic field parallel to beam direction have been performed for Fe1-xNix (x = 0.25, 0.30, 0.35) alloys. The compositions of the studied alloys were chosen in order to cover the concentration range where the fcc - bcc structural transformation appears, as well as where single phase fcc Fe-Ni alloys exhibit the Invar phenomena. Spatial distribution of the iron magnetic moments is discussed. The hyperfine magnetic field (h.m.f.) distribution is analyzed within a scope of two models discussed in the literature. In the first model it is assumed that any hyperfine magnetic filed vector have the same spatial distribution (the same values of (). In the second, the low field component of the hyperfine magnetic field is ordered antiferomagnetically (or disordered) while the high field component is aligned by an external magnetic field. In order to determine the mean values of cosine of the angle between teta-rays direction and hyperfine field vector of iron, (), a monochromatic circularly polarized Mössbauer source (MCPMS) was used. The analysis of the MCPMS results show that the shapes of the measured spectra can be explained by single values of .

The hyperfi ne fi elds and atomic ordering in Ni1−xFexMnGe (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) alloys were investigated using X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy at room temperature. The X-ray diffraction measurements show that the samples with x = 0.2, 0.3 crystallized in the hexagonal Ni2In-type of structure, whereas in the sample with x = 0.1, the coexistence of two phases, Ni2In- and orthorhombic TiNiSi-type of structures, were found. The Mössbauer spectra measured with x = 0.2, 0.3 show three doublets with different values of isomer shift (IS) and quadrupole splitting (QS) related to three different local surroundings of Fe atoms in the hexagonal Ni2In-type structure. It was shown that Fe atoms in the hexagonal Ni2In-type structure of as-cast Ni1−xFexMnGe alloys are preferentially located in Ni sites and small amount of Fe is located in Mn and probably in Ge sites. The spectrum for x = 0.1 shows the doublets in the central part of spectrum and a broad sextet. The doublets originate from the Fe atoms in the paramagnetic state of hexagonal Ni2In-type structure, whereas the sextet results from the Fe atoms in orthorhombic TiNiSi-type structure.

X-ray diffraction measurements and Mossbauer spectroscopy with external magnetic field were carried out on (Cr0.99 57Fe0.01)3+xSi-x alloys. The Mossbauer spectra for A15 type of structure can be described by superposition of single line S(1) and two doublets D(1) and D(2). The relative ratio of the S(1) and D(2) strongly depends on x. The nearest neighbours of these components have been identified. It was shown that 57Fe atoms preferentially locate in Cr positions for x less-than or equal to 0.0, while for x greater 0.0 iron atoms are distributed both in Cr and Si positions. It was shown that, in A15 structure, one Cr atom located in the 57Fe nearest neighbours (n.n.) decreases isomer shift by (0.022 plus or minus 0.002) mm/s, while one Si in n.n. increases isomer shift by (0.09 plus or minus 0.01) mm/s. The measured Mossbauer spectra of bcc Cr-Si indicate that atoms are randomly distributed and can be well described as superposition of single lines, related to various local environments of 57Fe atoms.

Opis:
The Mössbauer effect and ab initio investigations of an electric field gradient at $\text{}^{57}Fe$ nuclei in $Pt_3Fe$ compound are presented. It is shown that nonzero $\text{}^{57}Fe$ electric field gradient exists in the cubic $Pt_3Fe$. Ab initio study of $Pt_3Fe$ in antiferromagnetic state confirms the presence of electric field gradient at $\text{}^{57}Fe$ nuclei. Lattice, local valence electron (3d, 4p) and weakly bound 3p core electron contributions to electric field gradient are separated out and discussed in the context of the electronic structure changes upon the antiferromagnetic phase transition.
