Opis:
The aim of the study was to find the effect of water regimes on soil sorptivity and humic components of organic matter. Physicochemical parameters were also determined. Steady state cumulative infiltration was the highest (60-100 mm) in non-irrigated upland soil and the lowest (8-10 mm) in waterlogged soil. The highest sorptivity of 4.0-4.5mmmin-1/2 was found in nonirrigated upland soil and the lowest in seasonally waterlogged soil (1.0-1.5 mm min-1/2). Organic carbon content of all soils was low (<1%), EC values were also low (< 4 dS m-1). Saturated moisture was high in waterlogged soil. The non-irrigated upland soils had a higher fraction of fulvic acid (0.15-0.2%), due to which they were more capable of infiltration, whereas waterlogged soils had a greater fraction of insoluble humic acid (0.29-0.35%) and exhibited less cumulative infiltration. Sorptivity decreased as the clay content, pH, EC, porosity and humic acid content of the soil increased.

Opis:
Currently, globalization, urbanization and industrialization have led to several environmental issues. In many industries, particularly in textile industries, the extensive use of synthetic dyes has increased. Dye is an integral element used to impart color to textile materials. Wastes generated during the processing and treatment of the dye contain inorganic and organic compounds that are hazardous, thereby posing a serious threat to the ecosystem. It is therefore important to implement cost-efficient and successful measures against these emissions in order to preserve habitats and natural resources. In this context, biodegradation by fungi or mycoremediation of dyes using potential fungi is a fairly inexpensive and environmental friendly method for decomposing or mineralizing barely or less decaying dye compounds. Fungi play a crucial role in degrading and decolorizing organic dyes by enzymes and processes such as absorption, adsorption and aggregation of effluent colorants. The factors affecting the decolorization and biodegradation of dye compounds through fungal bioremediation, such as pH, temperature, dye concentration, agitation, effects of carbon and nitrogen sources, dye structure, enzymes, electron donor and redox mediators are discussed in this review. The review also includes a summary on the mechanism and kinetics of dye degradation as well as recent advances and future perspectives in mycoremediation of dyes.

Opis:
Faithfull detection of non-utilized spectrum hole in available channel is a crucial issue for cognitive radio network. Choosing the best available channel for a secondary user transmission includes settling on decision of accessible choices of free frequency spectrum based on multiple objectives. Thus channel judgment can be demonstrated as several objective decision making (MODM) problem. An ultimate goal of this exploration is to define and execute a technique for multiple objective optimizations of multiple alternative of channel decision in Adhoc cognitive radio network. After a coarse review of an articles related to the multiple objective decision making within a process of channel selection, Multiple Objective Optimization on the basis of the Ratio Analysis (MOORA) technique is taken into consideration. Some important objectives values of non-utilized spectrum collected by a fusion center are proposed as objectives for consideration in the decision of alternatives. MOORA method is applied to a matrix f replies of each channel alternatives to channel objectives which results in set ratios. Among the set of obtained dimensionless ratios, all the channel alternatives are ranked in descending order. In MOORA, channel choices with moderate objectives can top in ranking order, which is hardly conceivable with linearly weighted objectives of the different channel by using different decision making technique.

Opis:
A bottom up approach for the preparation of Nano Aluminium Powder (NAP) using a Transferred Arc Thermal Plasma Reactor (TAPR) is described. The aluminium block is subjected to evaporation by the application of a thermal plasma. The aluminium vapour produced is rapidly quenched to room temperature resulting in crystallization of the aluminium vapour in nano-particulate form. Various process parameters, such as the plasma torch power, reactor pressure and plasma gas composition were optimized. This paper also describes the characterization of NAP by analytical methods, for the estimation of the Active Aluminium Content (AAC), Total Aluminium Content (TAC), XRD, bulk density, BET surface area, HR-TEM etc. The results are compared with those for samples prepared in other thermal plasma reactors, such as the DC Arc Plasma Reactor (DCAPR) and the RF Induction Thermal Plasma Reactor (RFITPR), and for commercially available NAP samples (ALEX, prepared by the EEW technique).
