    Opis:
    The effect of aircraft emissions on the global climate is a serious long-term environmental issue faced by the aviation industry. As the number of passengers grows, so does the use of jet fuel and the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG). This may destabilize the world’s climatic systems, which will consequently lead to global, regional and local environmental, economic and social damage. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) estimates that aircrafts are currently responsible for 3.5 % of the total anthropogenic greenhouse effect. To avoid the negative consequences of climate change, it is necessary to fully understand factors affecting this problem locally and develop methods of mitigating airport climate effects. This article describes and analyses calculations of radiative forcing of aircraft emissions and the radiative impact of clouds in the surrounding area of the Lviv airport. The calculated values were verified against temperature data for the city and at the airport provided by meteorological authorities.

    Opis:
    The need for conservation and protection of natural ecosystems from the consequences of non-rational exploitation is a key issue for all industries. Tourism depends strongly on the quality of environment, but it can contribute to degrading or saving vulnerable ecosystems. The development of infrastructure for ecotourism is a way of mitigating the negative consequences of human activity and solving a range of related problems in the local labor market as well as improving living standards. The authors describe a series of actions aimed at developing ecotourism, which have been partially implemented in the Smotrytsky Canyon. In addition to presenting characteristics of the ecological and cultural value of the canyon, the authors analyze how it is affected by the existing anthropogenic factors. A list of necessary actions for environment restoration is presented, with special emphasis on erosion control, including plans for their implementation. Finally, the authors consider economic problems of developing ecotourism infrastructure and ways of minimizing their financial costs.

    Opis:
    The need for improvement of the environment quality at the territory of cities is directly conditioned by its impact on the health of humans. At the same time humans are not the only residents of urban ecosystems, but they are also inhabited by other organisms, using city as their habitat. The growth of cities is a stable trend of the modern times and it comes into conflict with wildlife living activity and quality of environment. Sustainable development of cities is impossible without environment protection, economic progress and benefits for local communities, therefore the creation of protected areas groups within the city of Kyiv is offered as an instrument for biodiversity support and urban ecosystem stabilization. The most important requirements to the sites to be included into the system of protected areas have been formulated. The first two cores are developed based on small lakes, which are characterized with environmental, recreational and wildlife support potential. The benefits from the creation of the urban network of protected areas have been defined for urban ecosystem and social and economic situation in the city.
